I recently brought my Acura in for service and was disappointed with the experience I had with my assigned service advisor, Michelle. Upon completion of the service, she did not go over what diagnostic tests were performed on the issues I reported, nor did she review the results or offer to answer any questions, until I had to wait in line again to get these answers, reluctantly given. More concerning, I later discovered that a specific test she claimed was performed was in fact not done. This lack of honesty and communication has caused me to lose confidence in the service I received. This is contrary to how the other dealerships treated me. read more

Bought an MDX from this location about 6 months ago, it was in a "slight accident". I'm thinking the bumper is a little miss aligned so maybe they just replaced that? It's "Acura Certified" so it should be all good? All of a sudden specs start showing up on my hood, more every week goes on. They state they are rock chips but there are none on my lower bumper piece. They do a 3rd party for paint work and my guess it's a low level service. Be aware of the "Acura Certified" because the bodywork repairs may not even be done by Acura. Only reason I gave 3 stars is the car itself runs great as is why I bought an Acura. As more specs appear out of nowhere because of a bad paint job I will eventually have to go get it repainted on my own dime. read more

I've just completed my first experience with Buerkle, and the service was nothing less than excellent. I had an appointment at 8 am which they met me outside to check me in because their bays were full. They quoted my estimated time for my oil change and complimentary car wash as an hour. They reviewed my service results, informed me on things I needed to be aware of and met all my expectations in that hour. I will be returning for future maintenance needs. I was sold a car by Matt that I was told was all wheel drive which it turned out not to be. I figured this out by getting stuck in the snow twice in the 30 days I had it. I brought it back and told them this and the only thing they were willing to do was trade me out of it and put me in something with a smaller engine that would increase my monthly payment by $100 a month. Stay far away from this place. I would give them 0 stars if I could. That is an awful way of doing business. I've bought two cars here - one experience was great, one was terrible - the salesman in the bad experience lied about a car meeting my specs being located in the Twin Cities area (thank you car soup) and wanted to charge me a $700 destination charge. (So actually, I only bought one car here) The service department is really good - note that they will always have a hired person call you to rate the experience. Went in for an air bag recall, the appointment was for 8am. Car was dropped off on time, estimated time to fix was about 2.5 hours. It is currently 4:30pm and I am still waiting for my car. Why have an appointment time to drop off the vehicle if you plan on getting to it when you get to it? This is not an 8 hour fix... Also, I called at 3pm asking about the status of my vehicle. My salesman Kameron and David in finance were so incredible to work with. I pre-ordered an MDX Type S Advance. Kameron kept me up to date frequently on the production and delivery of my vehicle and went above and beyond for me when my vehicle was delayed in transit. I was probably the annoying customer who texted too much, but he responded every time so quickly. Financing was done ahead of time, and I was in and out in an hour. I recently purchased a pre-owned Infiniti M37x from Buerkle Acura in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The sales man Joe Mcmahan told me the car had no problems, it ran fine with a complete inspection, oil change and tire rotation. All Lies, I live in Memphis, Tennessee so I paid for the car and transport. When the car arrived I drove it home no problem, but the next morning when I started the vehicle I heard a loud noise that lasted for about 30 seconds and stopped. My first impression was the manifold, the carrier pulled it up wrong, Worng, the Car has a BAD LIFTER, I contacted Mr McMahan, and Mr Peterson about the problem. Me Mcmahan plays dumb like it wasn't doing it before it left. How can a car blow a lifter On A TRANSPORT TRUCK!!! Fraud All the way. Mr Peterson refused to consult his service department about the previous condition of the vehicle. I work very hard for my money and did expect fraud from well mannered men who ended up being polite Con-Artis's. Please if the car is pre-owned call someone to inspect the car, because they don't take value in their word or you hard earned money. read more

As an Acura MDX owner who is new to the twin cities, I wanted to take my car in for service and ended up at Buerkle Acura (because they're Acura and well rated on Yelp). When I called to schedule an oil change and multi point inspection (car wash included), I was informed about their new "accelerated service" and average 60 min wait time. It sounded promising and I ended up there on a Saturday afternoon! Chue Vang was a great service advisor. Their waiting lounge is very well equipped and clean. They did not try to sell any services or add-ons I didn't expect. 60 mins and I had my car back and was quickly checked out on a weekend! I'm satisfied with the service I received and highly recommend their service department! read more

I recently purchased my third MDX from Buerkle Acura. Although I live over two hundred miles from this dealer, I keep returning because of their attention to detail, and the congenial no pressure help from salesman Mark Schiller. I had a side view mirror that would stick sometimes, but of course was working perfectly when I took the car in for routine service. So when asked if there were any other issues with the car, I just mentioned the transient problem, not expecting anything to become of it, since it was working then. When the service was done I asked in passing if they looked at the mirror. The service writer said the codes indicated their was a problem with the mirror's motor, so they replaced it - under warrant, no charge! This is the kind of service I have come to expect from Buerkle Acura. read more

Would never recommend this Acura dealership to anyone. Had a terrible experience there then thought maybe it was just that sales person. Went back again to give them another try and the second person wasn't NEARLY as bad as the first person was actually kind to me but made me uncomfortable when my daughter got fussy and kept looking at her with an annoyed face. And at that point unwelcome. I don't find that professional. If I could give a zero it would be more fitting because of the male we worked with the first time. We also waited in the lobby instead of offering us a seat at a sales desk. We had purchased a 2018 MDX in April 2021, fast forward to present(October 2021) and Buerkle Acura has failed immensely to provide the customer service they claim to provide. Our car after about a month began having issues and has been in and out of their service department since. The issue was the car will randomly go into limp mode while accelerating which for those who know can be quite dangerous. We have been patient but we have also need to realize when enough is enough. We scheduled to meet with Wes, as he was our sales person. Wes did not want anything to do with helping us on anything. He offered to trade our vehicle but we pay EVERYTHING(tax,title, etc). Wes also had zero interest in meeting us in the middle on some of the extra stuff we have boughten to prolong our Acura's life cosmetically, that I'd mind you we trade again he said it will just be offered to the next customer where in turn Buerkle will just double down on. Not to mention the seat conditioning they provided practically melted the finish on our nice leather seats. Wes refused to let us speak with his manager or anyone other than himself. He said and I quote, "You do not want to talk to my manager", as if it was a threat. What's wrong with talking to his manager? Wes also threw his entire service department under the bus explaining to us how bad our service advisor was and how he's been issues. If Buerkle strives for such a good customer experience why in the world did we get him in the first place and was that not handled? At the end of the day, Buerkle offered to essentially not do or help with anything whatsoever for us. I'm not sure if this is because of Buerkle or our lovely sales person Wes since he was our only point of contact. Our vehicle still resides in the Buerkle service lot and today(10/4/21) Wes PROMISED that we would hear back from Abby, our new service advisor. We have not heard a word. Wes also promised us an adequate replacement rental for the one we're in because it's too small for our family, that was also promised for today, no call. Nothing. Wes also said that we are not allowed to take our car to any other dealer that will honor our extended warranties. After further investigation that was a blatant lie. I called them, explained the situation and they said they'd happily work with any other Acura dealer. At this point we do not follow through on any promises made, we still have our sedan rental, and our car is still in the shop. We will never use Buerkle Acura in the future again. Moving forward we will have to further evaluate our next plan of action beyond just dealing with Buerkle. If you still choose to use them for your next vehicle purchase I advise to know what your buying and take it to a different dealer to have them verify everything is okay before you purchase. Lastly, I also suggest staying away from Wes. At the end of the day he will be in it for himself and himself only. read more

I recently took in a 2006 MDX that was pretty dinged up and had very little bells and whistles. I bought this vehicle for my teenage daughter. I wanted something sturdy and safe. I purchased this car from a friend of mine. They had taken it in to get a full inspection and tuneup prior to my getting the car. They had an oil change, replaced a belt and put on new tires. There wasn't a sticker for the oil change, so to be safe I took it in after about 1,500 miles. This was to a local oil change company, not a dealership. They did not reset the engine light. After a while, the engine light went on. That's when I took it to this dealership. I explained my situation and the condition I received the car. As I was waiting, the customer service rep came back with a quote of over $1400! I was told that they needed to flush all the fluids, even thought they had all passed inspection. He explained to me, several times, that it is best they do a full work up on this vehicle, since they had never seen it before and would need to start from scratch. He then told me that my CV joints were in bad shape and one was leaking. That would cost over $750 alone. I left there with them only having reset my engine light, but was still charged about $75. I took the car to another location. Once they had looked at it, I was told the CV joints were fine. One had some oil on the outside, but it was not leaking. The other ones did not have a problem. I was then charged $0. I WILL NEVER TAKE THIS CAR TO THIS DEALERSHIP AGAIN! read more

Avoid if you have other options. We had an appointment for a basic oil change. It started with a 15 minute wait to get checked in. The service worker pulls up our vin number and tells us our vehicle is registered under a different name...impossible given we bought it brand new and it is only a year old. Our estimated bill was $45 and when we go to pay, they tell us we owe them over $1300. We ask them if it's a joke and the person responds ummmm, no. I recommend not to take your car here for service they are ripoffs. I got my service done here and come to find out they DID NOT perform the service that was scheduled and requested to do! Scam is what they did to me and they have pretty good wording to defend their department and make it seem like it's not their fault and then turns the fault on you instead. I had to take my car back to them for them to correct the service. Like why wasn't it done the first time? Right!? They weren't expecting me to find out... so when the problem prolongs and becomes even worst, we have no choice but to bring it back to them again for ANOTHER session of service... that's called a scam! I found a 2017 Acura RDX online and called and talked to Joe McMahon about the condition of the vehicle. I informed him that I lived four hours away and am very particular about my vehicles and if there was any rust, door dings or major scratches I was not interested. He assured me that he personally looked over the car and it was in excellent condition. The first thing I noticed were two large scratches on the front bumper that had been unsuccessfully camouflaged with touch up paint that looked like white-out! It also appeared that there had been some sort of encounter with the passenger side mirror as there were large scratches of yellow and red paint. Lastly, I found pin pricks of rust on the back bumper and the bolts on the wheel wheels were rusted onto the white bumper. The manager offered to "fix" the issues and take a few hundred dollars off the price but at that point I had no desire to deal with a business that had not been honest and totally misled me. I've been driving an Acura for almost 6 years and it was time to replace it. I loved Acura. I bought my Acura new at Buerkle and had all my service done there and HAD loved them too. I'm a very informed buyer and walked in with a list of what I wanted. The sales person out and out lied to me about the features on the car he was trying to sell me and the price of the car was $1500 over the dealer across town. They also gave me a terrible trade in price. I walked out extremely disgusted and bought an Audi (great experience). To his credit, the salesperson called the next day and apologized for lying to me. While at the Audi dealer, I was told I was the second person that day with a similar story about Buerkle. Apparently Buerkle lost more than just my sale. Sad. read more

Went here for service. This place charges $125 for a diagnostic check (what they bill for one hour of work) for each problem you have with your vehicle. I think they knew what the problem was with my car right away, because I have since found out it is a common problem. They still charged me for the whole hour! I was looking for a hybrid sedan and was having a difficult time finding a certified used one; I guess hybrid dealers hold onto their babies. Buerkle Acura had a nice ILX with the technology package. We ended up getting an almost new Acura for the price of a new Honda. My husband is a car guy, loves Acuras, and the two of us were very pleased will all aspects of the searching and purchasing process. Jeff Bock is a straight-up, honest no nonsense salesperson. I told him I was impressed that the price was very similar to other cars I found on Auto Trader so I knew we were getting a very fair deal. The location is not convenient for us and yet, I wouldn't ever consider trying out another dealer. They treat you right. Went there today to trade in my 06 Pilot EX-L, they offered me a little over $3,700 and they tried to sell me their 2015 Acura MDX Tech package for $47,755. I offered to write a check for $45,000 and they said that is ridiculous but never counter offer me and kicked my out...Mark was the salesperson and their new car manager told me they only make couple hundred dollars on a new Acura MDX. I know what was a lie. You wouldn't believe how rude these people are the way they talk to me as a customer when they don't get their way. I have an Acura that was purchased from Buerkle and has also been serviced there. I recently received the recall notice about the takata airbag. When I called Buerkle the service representative was dismissive and rude and insisted that nothing has ever happened with an Acura,that the company was just exercising extreme caution because of all the uproar and that there were only problems on " the east and west coasts because of the climate." When I read the news article about the young woman killed in the Honda this morning in Texas I looked up the list of cars that have been involved and one was an Acura, same model as mine. I don't know about the guy at Burkle but any real risk of death should not be dismissed. I called the national number on the recall and they suggested I go to Bloomongton Acura. That is definitely where I will get the recall repair done. read more

My husband and I are members of Costco and have used the auto buying program previously at another dealership affiliated with this program, approx. 7 years ago. We had a FABULOUS experience. This time around, after notifying Buerkle Acura that we were using our auto program perk, spending 3 hours one evening after work while looking at the RDX, test driving it, having one of our autos driven by the store manager for trade in, haggling over the price and the vehicle we were looking at on the show floor, we were told to bring back the second vehicle for the trade in next day. Next day, my husband takes time off of work, drives second vehicle to Buerkle, sits for over an hour while they test drive the MDX we purchased from them 9 years earlier only to be told they are "still figuring out the trade in value", he leaves to return to work. While on his drive back to work, he is called by the store manager, AJ, and is told that there was a mistake made, the car we were wanting to buy really was not available, that someone had purchased it the night before. NOT. We were at the dealership from 6 until 9:15 p.m., with the store manager present, along with the salesman, Mark, working on the numbers. Bottom line, it appears very obvious that they knew they could make money selling outright, not using the Costco program, which they entered knowing the guidelines of price. Bad business practice. Will NEVER purchase from that dealership again. Also, we told the salesman during out test drive of their vehicle that we were also looking at an Infinity to compare vehicles, yet my husband was treated with total disrespect when they heard I was test driving the Infinity to make our decision that morning.
