Val went right to work on helping me finance the vehicle, finding me the best rate through a credit union and explaining the loan and best way to tackle payments. It felt like for once the sales team had my best interest and wanted to make this experience great. I am in love with my pre-owned GMC Canyon and feel like I was able to get it at a fair price with terms I can manage. Also, the service team was also great in thoroughly looking over the truck to ensure everything was looking good. Journey Auro Repair is the same company as Kurth's Auto Repair according to my receipt. The…read moresynthetic oil change coupon for $49.97 is a scam, as they charged $92.49 then subtracted $20 for the coupon - with no explanation other than I approved a charge of $10 when I left my vehicle for their up-charge for a better oil filter. So $60 + tax is what the bill should have been. So there is about a $10 charge that they just added on. They also said my vehicle needed $1,000+ work, but when I declined and tried to print that quote, it would not print or give me details anymore. They also would not print it for me. They wanted me to approve work without letting me have a printed copy of their quote with the descriptions. When I went outside to find my car, it was no where to be seen. They had it parked about a block away! They don't have enough space to give good service. They don't want to schedule appointments but rather have you leave your car in the morning. They did offer a ride because I live close, but that doesn't make up for the frustration of not honoring the $49.97 coupon and not giving me a printed copy of the $1,000+ work they wanted me to approve and sign. My experience today was enough that I will not be going back to Journey/Kurth's Auto Repair.

I had a couple of friendly experiences with Brady already but I will say, both times, they forgot to have the car washed afterwards but the second time, as we were headed out, Brady saw and asked them to get it washed before we left. I kind of miss the cookies they used to offer but nbd. They do have hot coffee or tea available and flowers or a snack bar for you as you check out. One negative thing I don't like about this place, is the seating. All the seats are too deep. I had been in a car accident a few months earlier and could not sit without pain in their waiting area because there is not enough support in their deep seats. Not everyone is tall and the difference in the back support of a seat or chair is huge after a car accident. I'd love to see different seating options or some seats with extra pillows for support.

The facility will text when your vehicle is fully serviced and ready for payment and pickup. There is a pay counter towards the entry. After payment, you get a choice of a rose or snack. if I had a Honda, I would always sit and work here during service maintenance due to the cleanliness and variety of amenities. On my way home I noticed the time and thought I would pop in to ask for an estimate appointment. I entered the office to owner Joe & told him what I would be requesting. Joe kindly suggested we step outside and estimate the damage. I showed him the few small defects; he noted that the headlight placement had been damaged and that likely all repairs would be roughly $2100. I asked if they did loaner cars during the repair? They do not, but if it's the other persons insurance they should allow a rental car. I discussed the "Selected Service Shops" the insurance had suggested. He stated that those places are usually commission based and that Wayne-Val is just him, his wife & brother-in-law compared to larger shops that are 20+ associates. I feel confident in leaving my vehicle w Wayne-Val and will do another yelp/update this one once I have actually had my vehicle repaired. I appreciated that Joe quoted me a realistic 19 February as what I'd be looking at for a service date. I mostly appreciated that Joe told me some of the questions that the insurance may ask, such as: do I approve used parts? He said I don't have to say yes and he wouldn't recommend used parts and it could only save insurance a couple hundred dollars.
