They make it convenient to schedule appointments either online or by phone and communicate every step of the way. This location damaged my vehicle during service, hid it from me, ignored my calls for weeks, and then gaslit me into thinking the damage was there before my service. DO NOT trust these morons with your car under any circumstances. I brought my 2020 Sonata in to get the transmission fluid changed. When it was finished, I drove it off the lot and immediately heard a loud banging sound. I brought it back and they told me they hadn't fastened the underbody shield correctly. 5 minutes later, they "fixed" it and I went home. A month later, I noticed the shield sagging under the front end of the car along with two zip ties that had been used to secure it. I called the dealership every day for a week leaving voicemails each time. On Friday, I had had enough and called their front desk 16 times in a row until they finally answered. They asked me to bring it in that day which I did. I was then brought back to speak to the technician who did the original repair. He lied to my face and told me the damaged shield was like that when I brought it in. I couldn't prove it so I left. Then I remembered the stupid little video they send you during service to try and upsell you tires/filters/etc. I found the email and the video was still there showing my completely intact underbody shield. After another week of daily calls and voicemails, they finally texted me that they had consulted the video and would replace the part free of charge "as a gesture of good will". It took two weeks to get the part and 3 hours for them to change it out. This has been the single most frustrating customer service ordeal of my life. Over a month of hounding the company to get them to do something they should have owned up to immediately. Walser Hyundai is a perfect storm of incompetent technicians, lazy associates, and shady managers. Do not give them your business. read more

If I could give their service department a zero I would. I purchased my Santa Fe new from Walser Brooklyn Park in 2022. Since then I have had several issues with the vehicle (fuel injectors replaced twice, bad camera, ITM replacement) but that is a car issue, not a dealership issue. These repairs were not performed at the Walser BP, as towing my car was closer to a different dealership at the time of failure. Where this dealership's problem came into play was my most recent issue, where I did drive to their service department. My car had been juttering upon acceleration, and I was worried it was bad fuel injectors for a third time. After sitting in the lobby for a few hours a service rep came out and said I would get a loaner and should be back on the road by noon. Eventually the same rep came out and told me since my fuel injectors were out of warranty (even though they had been replaced the year prior) I would have to pay for a loaner. I brought up the fact this was the third time they would be replaced, and that I thought the parts themselves were covered by a manufacturers warranty. I was also still covered by my power train warranty, although injectors are not part of the 100k coverage. He then tried to tell me that it was "the two injectors that weren't replaced last time" so I would have to pay for the replacement. I called the dealership that did the last set of injectors and they stated all of them were replaced, not just two. When I relayed this to the service rep he disappeared again, this time for almost two hours. When he came back I had a different diagnosis, it was my ITM that needed replacement, not injectors. Amazing. When I was presented the estimate I asked if they could request a goodwill replacement or have Hyundai split the cost with me given all of the issues I had with a car that was only a few years old. They said they would try but it was unlikely. About an hour later the rep said it was denied. Nobody cared, nobody batted an eye when I expressed my frustration with how many issues I've had with a new car. I asked to talk to a manager and all I got was a chuckle and a "they're not in today". I felt like they just wanted my money and to get me out the door. This entire experience took from 10am to after 3pm... and their "loaner" was $35 a day. I declined and took my car to the previous dealer that replaced my injectors, Buerkle Hyundai in White Bear. They not only gave me a loaner at NO cost to me no questions asked, they also put in a goodwill claim to the dealership. The process took a day or two to get it back approved, which was amazing. It also proved what I thought, that Walser never submitted the claim to Hyundai through the proper channels and just handed me a bill. Ridiculous considering I bought my car from them just a few years prior. Walser BP's repair department is worthless. I've never left a bad review but here I am. Hoping someone will read this and save themselves the issues I have had by NOT buying from Walser. Turns out the issue was actually bigger than just the ITM, I needed an entire transmission. Hence the weird driving issues in lower gears and accelerating. Buerkle has been amazing every time I've been there. Their team is full of communication. They act like they care, and I didn't even buy my car from them. The Buerkle name has not only earned a customer for life from me, my mom just purchased a new car from them based off of the level of service I received. read more

I already had diagnostics done elsewhere. I knew the wiring needed to be looked at. I was first told there was no one there on a Saturday to do the diagnostic, which I didn't need, so no big deal. I was charged for diagnostics and told to look into it further would cost another $350 (ish) plus whatever parts and labor were needed in addition to that (if they were even in stock and oh, we close at 1 today) I basically lost 2 hours of my day and $116 for nothing. Service girl was great!! So no complaints there! She was professional and empathetic. read more

I purchased my car from here, and have had to bring it in for service three times because it keeps getting stolen. The parts are constantly on backorder, and nobody ever gave me any updates... I would always have to reach out to get an update. The first time it sat there for a couple months before it was repaired, and the last two times it was there for a couple of weeks. It would be nice if they gave loaner cars to those of us who keep getting our cars stolen! The guy I had to deal with this time was apparently fired (thank god), but it was not a smooth process with any of the people I worked with there all 3 times. Just got my car back, and they gave it to me with the check engine light on! read more

The service technician was friendly, and servicing of my car went well. I loved that they washed my car as well...an unexpected surprise! However, as I sat in the waiting room, a customer sitting next to me was apparently in for the same service (60,000 mile service). Whereas her tech took the time to explain the recommded services, I didn't get this same level of customer service from my tech. I guess he just assumed I already knew what I was agreeing to pay for instead of making sure I understood the full array of services presented to me. Overall, the service was great, but for the amount I ended up spending, it would have been nice to be given at the very least a brief explanation beforehand. He was friendly to work with and gave us a lot of information . He made our car buying process so smooth and simple. We walked into the dealership with no intention to buy and to only test drive. Rhett got us in a test drive and we ended up falling in love with a model that was on the showroom floor. We ended up buying it and couldn't be happier. So unfortunately, we decided to start looking for another vehicle because I'm pregnant again, and our third child would not fit in a little Toyota. I contacted them. I told him I didn't want to come in until I did the credit checks and that was because I have two kids and it's just too much to bring them. We did the credit checks same day. We were texting the first two days he never got back to me and then this morning after like four days, he decides to email me that they lowered the price of the vehicle that I wanted, so I responded and he said I was supposed to get an email saying they wanted to see my car but that the car I wanted was no longer available. Mind you I didn't get an email. This was less than two hours after the email stating the price was going down. I do not recommend this place. I would know I've worked for car dealerships my whole life and I have never treated anybody like this I get you wanna make your money but that means you have to respond to people in a timely manner or even at all. I've always had really great service here! The employees are professional, efficient, and personable. I've never met any of the mechanics, but they do a top notch job because I've never had any issues after I've gotten my Hyundai Sonata serviced. Plus they usually get me on my way in a lesser amount of time than first quoted. They have a nice waiting area with basic complimentary water bottles and coffee. It's a bit noisy with a TV and 80's music piped in over the speakers. There's tons of magazines and the daily newspaper though I always bring a book. As always I wish their prices were lower. Or at the very least I could get some deals since I've been so loyal for so long. I'll keep looking and checking for those! It's a bit confusing getting here off of highway 169. Bought a Tucson in early June. Got the extended warranty and was told we could cancel it up to 30 days after purchase. Decided to cancel 4 days later. Tried calling to do so. No one picked up. Finally got a hold of someone and they said they would have the appropriate person call back. They did not. Called next day and was told their system was down. Finally got the issue resolved, or so I thought. On June 12th after emailing the cancellation paperwork , I received an email saying "Thank you, I will get this submitted and our corporate will issue a check after the bank has created your account number." Fast forward to June 27, the money had not been refunded ($3,100) and I texted my salesperson as to why. No response. This morning I called at 10:45 to inquire as to why it had been over a month and still no refund. Was told a sales manager would call me back shortly. Over 4 hours later I get a call. They looked into it and said a check would be cut today and sent. I asked how this happened that it took over a month and several calls on MY end to get this squared away. The had no answer. Asked if I hadn't caught this, would the warranty not have been cancelled? "I'm not sure", was the response. This wasn't a very pleasant experience for me. It seems to me that the customer is not important to this dealership, especially after the sale. I recommend going elsewhere. read more

On Sept 20,2023 my wife and I stopped in to Walser Brooklyn Park to find our next car. Wanted to check out a Hyundai Santa Fe Palisade. Walked into the store to look at the new cars and was not greeted. After determining there was no palisade in there we asked the receptionist who were all these people in there and she said they were all sales people. All of them were sitting at a computer station and none seemed interested in a 'Walk-In'. I asked in they had any palisades in stock and she said she didn't know. Then she yelled something to some one in the back and a young women walked up. I had to ask her if she was in sales and she said yes so I asked her if there were any palisades in stock and she replied that there should be. I said we'd like to see one and di she know where one was. She said she didn't. She said we could go look for one out in the lot because they looked just like a Santa-Fe. She only wanted to get back to her computer station I guess and left us to do our own looking... We left. read more

I was extremely discouraged by my most recent Walser Hyundai repair experience. In June I was informed by my normal mechanic that one of the repairs that was needed on my car showed up on a warranty notice. My mechanic took the time to call Hyundai to verify the warranty for the steering coupler. When I called to schedule the warranty repair, I asked if my 2009 was covered, and they reported YES. 3 weeks later I arrived for my appointment, and was told that the warranty had expired, and they would charge me $390.00. My options as my coupler was getting progressively worse were the following: - Go ahead with the repair and they were willing to knock 50.00 off from the cost. - Attempt to contact Hyundai to extend the warranty which could take multiple days to weeks and which I was told by the service department was not likely to happen. - Schedule with my mechanic who I know is pretty busy and could take another few weeks to make an appointment. Due to the speed at which the vibrations in the steering wheel were getting worse I felt forced into option 1 as it had already taken 3 weeks to have this appointment. Soon after the repair I started my car and my Electric Power Steering signal started flashing. I notified Hyundai, as timing is very close to when they worked on my steering column. I am now informed that they will do a diagnostic for 190.00 however if the service department admits that it is due to the work that was recently done, then they'll omit the cost. This has been a stressful experience that I would not want anyone to have to go through. read more
