The ability to choose your own toppings and the diversity of toppings make this a favorite place to get a pizza for me. My favorite add on is the polish sausage beyond that we load em up with whatever sounds good. Dont think the pizza has ever been the same as any of my previous ones I have had. I live in Yankton and drive to Sioux City for a pizza at BA's over going to Charlie's not that Charlie's is a bad place but I prefer BA's and by the time I pay for gas it's a wash in price. read more

Their pizza is the best in Sioux City in my opinion. We go here often and its one of the first restaurants I'll take visiting family and friends. Pros: Awesome pizza and large beer selection. Great decor as well. Cons: Noisy and slow service. Sometimes they won't open the second half of the seating area even if there isn't any place to sit in the first half. read more

First timer. Happened to be in Sioux city for work and was looking for Surly on tap. This place had it so here I am. Decked out in Christmas lights on November 16th. Whatevs. Opens at 4, I got here at 430 and it was empty. Friendly staff and decent tap list. No complaints. Place is pretty big with 2 separate sides, each with its own bar. Plus I guess they have an outdoor patio in the warmer months. Prolly a fun place on a Friday night. Looks like the kind of place that gets loud and busy. read more

this place would get 5 stars because their pizza is really good and the options for toppings is awesome but..... the service is just awful. I have been here four, maybe 5 times during the afternoon and its just terrible(not busy either). For an example the last time I was in there was about a week ago and there was a table of about 6 people who were done with their meal and just talking, I came in and sat down saw the server walk by about seven or eight times....waiting....waiting...seriously about 20 minutes before she even acknowledged my presence......food took another 25 minutes ...remember no one is here (or ordering), the time before this i just left without ordering....so in conclusion BA's get your staff together and explain how a job works! read more

The pizza had fresh ingredients. The sauce was light and tasty. I will say it is one of the best pizzas I've had in Iowa. The bartender Gina was awesome and attentive. We always had drinks before our last ones were empty. I would definitely recommend Buffalo Alice's. read more

A centralized downtown location on historic 4th Street with great decor that gives you plenty to look at. Incredible variety of pizzas to choose from and the service was always exceptional. If I was rating this on taste and selection, I would easily give it 5 stars. However, I believe the service is (and has been as long as I can remember) terrible. The servers/waitresses/bartenders are generally very rude and pay little attention to those waiting for a drink. Although I love their pizza and selection of beer, I often go elsewhere just because of the poor service. And sadly, I know many who share this sentiment. read more

My wife and I have been going to BA's since they were old their old location, so a long long time. We usually go at least once a week. The service is great and the staff is friendly, I like Mondays when we have fresh popcorn before our pizza is served. The pizza is excellent and they have a wide variety of toppings or you can order a standard. Fun decorations and great beers on tap, always something to satisfy a craft beer lover like me. We go early as it gets very busy with the younger crowd at night. They have a very cool mural in the back room, don't leave without checking it out. read more

A Historic 4th Street staple of the night life in Sioux City for years now, Buffalo Alice is frequented by a diverse group of people, ranging from hipsters to professionals to the older crowd. Known for their wide selection of beers (on tap or bottle) and the "gourmet" pizza. Depending on the night you're there, it can seem like a local neighborhood bar to a jumping hotspot. The decor here is eclectic, with photos of staff and patron vying for space with advertisements, model trains, record covers, neon signs and other various items. They do have an outdoor beer garden in back that is open during summer months. The staff is a mix of hip, young people who may or may not be happy to see you. In fact, the wait staff can either be great or terrible depending on who you get. All in all though, this is a good place for beer and pizza. One other thing, don't try to drink and drive in this area, the police are thick on the streets in the 4th street area from 11pm to 2am. read more

I have no complaints about the food. The food is wonderful. I agree with the other reviewer about the slow service. It seems like I get ok service when its a super slow, almost dead night, when drinkers aren't in there but just the after work eating crowd. However, if I go there in the evening when drinkers are there, the waitresses are all talking to each other, or seem to be just serving their friends, or talking to guys. It takes 5-10 minutes to get noticed and then 5 minutes to get your drink. It doesn't appear that they are overly busy either - I have been a waitress myself for years so I am not one to complain about small things, but the long waits for drinks is excessive at BAs. read more

woooooorst service ever. pizza was half blackened and when we said something there was no argument it was we will give you half off. seriously i would have been embarrassed to serve the pizza. boneless wings (which were 9 dollars) were obviously fried then re fried again, half were hot half cold. got the wrong beer twice and after saying something it was corrected with a "shit"- no apology even after i said i drank the other one. never saw such an OVER staffed bar with people that just don't give a shit. servers and bartenders were more interested in texting and playing juke box songs. literally felt like they were annoyed that we were there. oh and the menu is a joke. here it is- pizza, wings (bone in or out), breadsticks, nachos, jalapeno poppers. only good thing about the place is you don't need to tip because of the horrible service and food. read more

Great pizza's and beers. The beer selection not as good as in the past but the food is great. Slightly dingy but it gets a huge crowd and does well as the place to be. Ok, been travelling to Sioux City on business and I love just a plain pepperoni pizza. Went there for supper and really enjoyed it. Nice thin crust. Too bad they don't do lunch or delivery. One of Sioux City's best if not the best pepperoni pizza. Great decor inside too, entertaining. read more
