Cutest shop, all the seating is at bars stool height so not perfect for like a group maybe. Awesome service, DELIGHTFUL bagel, very decently priced. See receipt. Also got a little limade, OOO refreshing and delicious. And they give you a whole freaking pickle instead of a quarter spear like other places. Honestly, just a great experience with the staff, quick, delicious, reasonable price. I would go again and again.

Amazing bagel. From Maine this is the best I have had yet in DC especially if you look for a firmer bagel. Really good, I got an egg and cheese and tomato on an everything. Absolutely great. I got a latte too and the size was great and espresso was really nice. I have had 2 in the week that I've been here. Super friendly staff, it's worth mentioning. Clearly everyone loves the place, and Bob Ross tutorials were playing so I can imagine why. Nice outdoor seating sect as well with a smaller inside. I'd take it to go if you could.

Great bagel sandwiched! Frezh squeezed OJ is delicious. They also offer knishes at breakfast.

$8 for a substantial breakfast bagel sandwich?! Sign me up. The bagel was toasted perfectly and wasn't dense. I probably would try the bacon one next time since I wasn't the biggest fan of the sausage. It was super cute to sit at the counter. Service was fast and great too.

A solid if unspectacular Jewish-style deli. I recently went here for lunch with a friend to check Buffalo and Bergen out. Buffalo and Bergen is small inside, with room for 15 people max to sit. It is also loud, compounded by music, and hard to have a conversation without raised voices. I ordered the pastrami sandwich and matza ball soup and split a potato knish with butter and parsley. All of the food was delivered to our table in a timely manner. I was underwhelmed by everything I ordered. The matza ball soup needed more flavor-I could not taste any chicken in the stock or duck fat in the matza balls. The lemongrass stock combined with the lemon slices overwhelmed anything else I might have tasted. The matza balls were a nice size and classic "sinkers" (very dense). The potato knish tasted like it came out of a package (even if it was house-made), and needed more onion flavor. The parsley and butter did not add to the knish. The pastrami portion size for the price ($19.50) was a bit on the small side. The pastrami needed a bit more fat and the coleslaw would have been better served on the side. However, I enjoyed and appreciated the deli mustard and pickle on the side.

As someone who grew up on Connecticut and New York bagels finding a good bagel in DC has been a challenge. A friend recommended Buffalo & Bergen and I'm so glad he did! The Rude Socialist is now my go-to bagel on the weekend (which is usually when I treat myself to a bagel for breakfast). In addition their latkas are amazing!! Cannot say enough about them. When my CT and NY friends came to town they all loved not only the names of the bagels but the bagels themselves. If you are from the Tristate or New England area and missing your bagel, this is the spot.

Overall an okay experience. We ordered two bagel sandwiches online around 11:15 with an expected pickup time of 11:45. When we arrived at the pickup time, we were told that the wait was over an hour with no explanation and given no update as to when our order would be ready. Didn't receive our food until 12:15. One of the bagels was wrong, but knowing how long the wait was, we just went with it. Seating was extremely limited with several large groups taking majority of the chairs outside. Food was as expected but thought we'd get more bacon given that it was $4 to add it to each bagel. We also never received our side of chips. Probably could find a faster and cheaper bagel shop but the interior/location was pretty cool.

Loved the ambiance and the food. Was amazing with a great/friendly staff. It was my first trip to DC and if I ever return I will be coming back here.

Re-visited a 2nd time and it was a bit busier (had to wait a little to find seats together), music was a little louder, and this time I didn't have a friendly chat with a neighboring breakfast eater. I tried the deconstructed Breakfast Bandit (which I liked) and took the wheat bagel home to eat later. My husband had the B's Knees and he says he enjoyed it. I do wish they had pumpernickel bagels but what they have IS good.

Food was delicious. Enjoyed our breakfast sandwiches. Ambiance was unique, felt like a 50's diner mixed with a bar. Service was kind and quick, only thing is that the tips went up to 30% which was different but fair enough. I suggest a visit if you are looking for a quick place to eat and want some more unique food. Thanks for some great food!

This remains one of my favorite places for breakfast in DC. The staff is wonderful, the patio is gorgeous on nice days, and the food has never disappointed! This time around I got the Cheezus Has Risen... YUM! It was exactly what I wanted and the perfect serving size. Can't wait for next time (which will inevitably be... soon).

This neighborhood gem is one for the books! We stopped here ahead of our Capitol tour on Monday to grab a bite. I have never had a bagel so light and airy before. Esther was so kind and gracious with us and helped us with ordering. I chose the egg, cheese meat with an everything bagel and side of cream cheese ($8) my parents ordered the Body Count on an everything bagel ($13) We were so surprised that a bagel could be soooo good! If you are in DC and want a New York made bagel this is your place! Trust me!

Placed my online order for pickup and it wasn't ready until 10-15 minutes after. Decided to pick up some iced coffee and it was strong but way overpriced for what I got, the coffee cup even wasn't filled up all the way! But, the staff were really nice and attentive when I had some questions about my order. As far as the bagels go, the fillings were great but the actual bagels were tough to chew and a little dry for my taste.

It's a basement bar with a bit of a dive vibe, but it's hard to ignore the nautical, blue crab theme throughout. Turns out that one of the owners is a Marylander, which is cool to see reflected in the decor in a place in dc, even though it is next door. They have a happy hour and they have a great variety of drinks in general. It's bring-your-own-food (BYOF) and there are a bunch of delicious looking Asian spots nearby, including upstairs. It didn't start getting crowded until closer to 10, which, as I said, is surprising for this part of town to me. Everywhere in Chinatown is not going to be packed and busy, and this place is here to remind you of that. Stop by if you're looking for a more chill vibe. Staff are pretty cool.

For $45 per person, the all-you-can-eat experience feels like a really solid deal considering how many protein options and side dishes you get. They start you off with a variety of banchan (side dishes), including a salad with this super tasty dressing that had the perfect little spicy kick. For the BBQ, we kicked things off with the spicy bulgogi and butter garlic shrimp, while the others tried the pork belly (I don't eat pork). Later we ordered the steak, spicy brisket, and grilled squid, which were all delicious. The spicy brisket especially was a standout for me. The guys also ordered two rounds of fried dumplings that looked amazing, but since they contain pork, I had to sit those out. I'd love to see Chadol add a veggie dumpling option to the menu! As for the sides, the kimchi and cold glass noodles were both hits at our table, and of course we all added white rice. The "mashed potatoes" though? Definitely more like potato salad and unfortunately very bland. On the other hand, the cheese corn costs extra but is 1000% worth adding. For drinks, the guys enjoyed the Woody Old Fashioned while I had a mezcal margarita-style cocktail that was smoky and refreshing. We also ordered one of the chicken options but never received it and eventually just gave up on it. One of the coolest parts of the experience is the ordering system. Most meats are ordered directly from a machine at your table, and the food comes out quickly on this conveyor belt-style setup which was honestly so fun. Drinks and side dishes are ordered through the servers. The atmosphere was lively and energetic without feeling overwhelming. The restaurant is actually much larger inside than I expected, with a modern setup that works well for smaller groups. That said, I didn't really notice tables for larger parties, so I'm not sure how they accommodate groups bigger than 6 people. Service started off a little rough because our server wasn't very attentive, but after I called it out, he definitely stepped it up and things improved. Overall, Chadol was a really good experience and absolutely worth the price. The 1.5-hour seating limit makes sense too, both to keep things moving and give others a chance to enjoy the experience. I'd definitely go back!
