    Big Mark Breakfast

We had the BEST server, Mebratu! He was so full of energy and attentive even when he was sprinting around to his other tables lol. He's the reason this review gets an extra star. My mom loved her food (her grits were delicious) but I didn't really enjoy my food. My favorite parts were the toast and bacon. My eggs were VERY plain and weird tasting (even though there's an upcharge for cheese it added nothing) and my hash browns tasted like grease. They have an odd chicken sausage that reminded me of pork sausage. The blueberry cheesecake poptart was great. Overall I would come back but try something else!

So good. Love Ted's. Everything is so fresh and hot! Service was nice. the big breakfast is definitely a steal! Love that I was able to change the bread of choice to a biscuit.

I recently went to Ted's Bulletin for a double date. My go to is the Marks Breakfast. We all shared the Jumbo Cinnamon Bun which was good. The cinnamon bun was large but it didn't really have an X factor. Service was good as well. I call ahead to get a table specifically to accommodate a stroller but I didn't get the correct table.

The service was average for any restaurant. The manager and other servers did many rounds to offer everyone at the different tables if they needed more waters. The atmosphere is laid back and very casual. The food was decent but nothing made it stand out. The deviled eggs with mustard seed was a nice touch and I love deviled eggs with bacon. The truffle fries taste more like a slight version of garlic fries and the flavor is just not there. The grilled cheese was good but nothing made it stand out. The tomato soup was the best thing I ordered as it was very creamy and rich but again didn't blow me away. I believe the serving size of almost everything can be shared between friends or couples. This is a place to stop in for a bite but level expectations.

Grilled Cheese and Ted's Tomato Soup

I am in DC for a conference, so obviously solo dining can always be an interesting experience. I decided to give Ted's Bulletin a try as I was craving some classic comfort food after a long travel day. First off, service was phenomenal. I felt so welcomed and received equal amounts of attention compared to those groups of people who may have a larger bill. The inside was cozy and casual. I ordered the classic Ted's grilled cheese and tomato soup. The grilled cheese was so incredibly melted and perfectly toasted. The tomato soup had a delicate, not acidic and not salty taste. It was just right. I also got the marshmallow cupcake to go, which unfortunately I did not grab a picture of because I was too busy enjoying it! A great spot if you want a good meal with a casual environment, given DC is a fine dining city.

Great place for lunch! The food here is amazing. Got the fried chicken sandwich and it was enough for 2 meals. We had a large group and the service and food came very quickly. They treated us very well, especially for a group. The space itself was also nice looking and modern.

It was my first time there and Omg . The food was absolutely amazing . It was very packed in there . People kept coming in and out. Service was great. I got the steak cook medium and that sauce was 10/10. The pancake . Can't wait to go back

50% good 50% not good. It's so iffy. The good. Very kid & family friendly and the day staff is great. But the food is not so good. For a one visit experience okay. But not a regular food spot.

We stopped in for brunch and thankfully we had a reservation because they were busy and bustling. After a short wait we were seated. The menu has lots of yummy options to pick from. We selected the chicken and waffles and grilled chicken. The chicken was white meat and said to be juicy and flavorful, the waffle was said to be on the drier side and some extra hot honey was helpful. The grilled shrimp tacos were lacking flavor and not enjoyable. Definitely not something I would order again. The server was attentive despite being very busy in his service area. The hostess was also friendly and full of energy, great person to have at the front.

Was impressed by my initial visit. I've been an occasional customer at Cap Hill, so my first time to try another location of Ted's (there are 8 now). Ages ago, I used to live in an apt. on 14th Street, 3 blocks from here. Ted's was nowhere on the radar screen then. My, how this neighborhood has changed. Ordered the crab cake benedict. It's high quality, topped with a splendid, homemade hollandaise sauce (not from a mix). Split the order with hub; plating was lovely. Hash browns were golden crisp and cappuccino was delicious, plentiful. Very good customer service, too.

Ted's is a perfect spot for breakfast in the city! It's so cozy, with a traditional diner feel, but with so many awesome and diverse options. They are famous for their Ted's tarts which are always so fresh and I love trying the seasonal flavors. We recently went for breakfast and I got the Turkish eggs - so flavorful, light, & delicious. Our server, Karina, was amazing and so sweet!

My sister told me this was the place to go for breakfast in DC, and she was right. Ted's Bulletin was packed when we arrived, so there was a long wait, but we decided to sit at the counter instead. That turned out to be a great choice. Our server at the counter took good care of us, and the food presentation was very nice across the board. I ordered the pancakes with chicken sausage, and everything came out hot and well prepared. I have to say, though, the cinnamon rolls were calling my name. If my diet would have allowed it, I would have ordered one on the spot they looked incredible. They also had house-made Pop-Tarts and other pastries that looked really good. My sister had the Huevos Rancheros , and she really enjoyed her meal as well. The place was so busy that by the time they called our name for the original table, we had already finished eating and were ready to leave. On the way out, we saw more of the Pop-Tarts and baked goods on display, and it just confirmed that this is a spot worth visiting. If you're coming to DC and want a great breakfast or brunch spot, Ted's Bulletin is definitely a place you should put on your list. I'd give them 5 stars.

Happy Hour Chicken Tenders and Truffle Fries
    Marc R.

    1. It took forever for us to have our order taken. Not the servers fault it was more of a staffing issue that day as only one person was manning the bar area during a busy happy hour. 2. Chicken Tenders batter was too thick and mushy. Truffle fries (Had no truffle flavor at all) must have been a busy day indeed in the kitchen as well as they may have forgotten to season the fries properly at least. Nothing else to say.

While I was tempted to order the falafel, I couldn't justify shelling out another $5 for another upcharge and spend $10 on them for a total of $26 for just an entree - when these 2 upcharges should have been included in the entree by default. To be honest, I almost skipped it entirely after seeing the line, but I'm glad I stuck it out. Since it was later in the day, they were out of some of their baked goods items. So we grabbed the bbq lamb shoulder wood-fired pita sandwich and shatta batata tots to share. The sandwich was big in size, so you can easily share it. My daughter and I shared it and we both liked how filling it was and the ingredients were fresh. The lamb was super tender and the combination of flavors were amazing. The tots were also seasoned well. It also came with a tasty creamy dipping sauce. I did wished they were cut in layers like a hasselback potato like I saw on the show. I thing texturally it would have been more interesting than the current tots which had chunky pieces of potato in squares. For the drinks my sister got the coconut cardamom and I got the peanut dalgona. The peanut dalgona drink is the drink to get. I loved the flavor profile and the creamy topping. The place was busy. More surprisingly, it was one of the toughest steaks I have ever eaten. At $49, that is unacceptable.
