Words can hardly describe how much I love Buffalo Chophouse. I'm originally from the Buffalo area where there are certain local food creations that are dear to us. One, that everyone has heard of, is Buffalo Chicken Wings, as were created at the Anchor Bar on Main Street by Theresa Bellissimo in the mid-1960's. And I can honestly say that I had a dish of Buffalo Chicken Wings prepared for me by Theresa. Another is Shalen's hot dogs with their smokey flavor and natural casings that get crispy when grilled. But the ultimate is Beef on Kummelweck, sometimes known as Beef on Weck or just as BOW. It's thin sliced roast beef served between a sliced kummelweck roll that Buffalo Chophouse gets from Costanzo's Bakery in Buffalo. So, you're getting the real Buffalo thing right here in Florida. I came across this restaurant on yelp for our normal weekly date night. It had mixed reviews, but I am always willing to give any place the benefit of the doubt. The restaurant is in the shopping center like most places in Port St. Lucie. When you walk in you have your hostess to your left and the rows of tables to you right. We walked straight through to the back bar. It seems like a very nice ambience and casual vibe. The bar wasn't overly long, but could fit a decent amount of people. Our bartender was very friendly, but seem to have a hard time multitasking while putting in our food order. We both ordered a cocktail which came out pretty strong. Nothing is more disappointing than getting a weak drink. For our appetizer, we ordered the muscles. Between the seasoning and butter this was phenomenal. I'm even curious to add some pasta next time and make this my actual entrée. I don't think I would have been disappointed. We ordered steak for our entrée and the sides were seasonal veggies and mashed potato. This meal was pretty good, but nothing that would make me want to order this again. We also did order two side salads. Just a typical salads can't go wrong. We did share this meal because that's usually the way we order. Came here to today for the first and the last time on Father's Day's. The sign said, "wait to be seated" so......we waited and waited and waited. Finally we walked up to a very rude waitress who told us "that's why we have the sign", so my question is why didn't you come seat us after you saw us. The reply "there's only 2 of us". So sad to be that rude. So we left, didn't have a chance to try their food and as far as ambiance, old and dirty. Enough of wasting my time complaining. read more

Wooh! Attended a meeting in a private room at Buffalo Chophouse! The Owner (didn't get her name -- she and her husband own the restaurant), was a very nice woman. I hadn't been there in about five years, and the place looks totally different inside -- much, much nicer! My memory is that I loved the chicken wings! Guess what?!?!? I still do! They are reasonably priced, cooked to perfection, and come with celery and carrot sticks, plus a dipping sauce of your choice. One of the meeting participants ordered onion rings. They looked delightful. So ... what did I do? Why, I ordered onion rings. They were WONDERFUL! Crispy, crunchy and oh-so-tasty crust with tender onion inside. Ahhhh! Heaven. Our server was awesome. I finally made it up to Buffalo Chophouse in Port Saint Lucie, Fl. I lived in Buffalo for many years, and this Beef on Weck is the real deal! The wings were really good too especially with the side of extra hot ghost pepper sauce, but the BOW was the star. They even get actual Costanzo's Bakery rolls from Buffalo. The fries were amazing too., crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is nice & laid back and I loved all of the Buffalo memorabilia. We went for dinner on Fryday. Crystal our server was great. We had the fried shrimp special, came with fries and coleslaw. My husband also got the wedge salad, which looked awesome, lots of crisp bacon, tomato and the wedge was a nice size, he loved it. The fried shrimp had some type breading, wasn't crisp at all sorta grease laden, luckily it didn't stay on, while the 6 shrimp were a nice size, not a hit for us. Fries were seasoned. The slaw, we could tell they do in-house (not packaged), we appreciate that and the dressing was good. The tools were nice and hot. I'm sure we'll go again. read more

About 3 weeks ago, we went to the Buffalo chophouse for dinner as we had done several times before. There were empty booths but we stood in the foyer for at least 20 minutes. We finally left. My husband is from Buffalo and felt a connection with the owner so he called the next day to share his concerns. The owner wasn't there so left a message. No return call. Another call, another message no return again We received a gift certificate for Christmas so we thought we'd give it a second try. The wait to be seated was only about 5 minutes. Stopped in for a quick dinner tonight only it was a terrible idea. We got there around 6 and the restaurant only had 2 tables seated. Our simple order of an Angus burger & Beef on the Weck took 40+ minutes to come out. My husband's medium rare burger came out well done & dry. We had to ask another waitress to please send ours over. This took too long. When she finally came to the table she grabbed the plate and said " oh this is very well done" After waiting 20+ minutes for his dinner again it arrived on a bare plate no French fries or pickle or Lettuce & tomato and rare! Cold in the middle and undercooked. This is their $18 burger! Remade and thrown back at the customer like it was his fault. When our waitress finally came back over she said the fries will be ready soon. 10 minutes later she brings out FF. This is when we asked for the check. When asking the waitress why all this happened she became argumentative & unconcerned. She then said " well we're closing on Sunday anyway, landlord raised the rent " So she really didn't care. They were telling us 10 min that turned into 20 min. Them, when we asked for our food again, they told us 5 more min. We are both hungry. We decided to pay for oor drinks and leave. We went early on a Sunday evening. Happy hour wine prices in play ($4 per). Not crowded. We both ordered beef on weck. It was excellent. We ordered a second glass of wine upon receiving our meals, but the waitress came by after we finished our meal apologizing for not bringing the wine. She had an "issue" with the kitchen. Ambience was rustic, noise level low (not crowded). We'll probably go back, maybe trying the bison. read more

The 2 stars are for the fact that I did enjoy my food and the server did try her best; other than that everything fell very short and then some...first, there's only 1 server (Dee) on for Sunday lunch (running her own food, pouring her own drinks, basically running the entire restaurant which had several tables including a party of 6-7ppl) and while I can tell she is good she cannot be great because she has to do it all. The next issue is I did order 1/2 dozen wings tossed with hot and garlic Parmesan with bleu cheese on the side...I received a full order with hot only and no bleu cheese...Dee had to run back to get it for me (I also know she did make the mistake of ordering the full order, but I love wings and they'll heat up fine later...however, Dee did order them tossed in both sauces and the kitchen did not do so...I know this because I was charged an additional $1 for the double sauces on the bill). My fiancé ordered the meatloaf, and he said it was pretty flavorless...he ate it, but wasn't impressed...he did say the fries were very good. I thought the wings were really big, crispy enough and definitely juicy. The hot buffalo sauce I did try was very good... I also ordered the prime rib sandwich on the weck roll instead of the hoagie and the horsey cheddar mashed instead of fries which were Luke warm and had no signs of horseradish or cheddar to be found...the sandwich was good, the cheese was melted then you could tell it cooled down because it was kind of a blob on top. They forgot to put the garlic aioli on the sandwich and when I asked for a side Dee went to get it; we were sitting right across from the kitchen entrance and I overheard the cook say he forgot but that it was because I changed the bread choice...you forgot a key component of a sandwich because I asked for a roll instead of a hoagie...and then proceed to blame it on the customer? When Dee returned from the kitchen I let her know I heard everything that was said and she went back to let them know I did...no one came over to check in (manager wise; either from the floor or the kitchen for that matter)...very unprofessional in my opinion. We ended up boxing up 1/2 my sandwich and 3/4 of the wings for later...unfortunately my experience was tarnished by the kitchen; their lack of professionalism and their multiple mistakes... Not sure we will return after an unsatisfactory overall experience, which is a shame because I honestly did enjoy what I had eaten and I think with a better support team Dee would've been more successful serving her customers. read more

Our meal was cold and looked disgusting, we ate some of it and just decided to pay and leave, before we did I told the waitress I could have gone shopping at Publix and cooked a better meal my self, she went to tell the Mgr but nothing was done, just as I thought, afterwards I left a review on FB I believe and that started arguing with me? First of all in business you should NEVER argue with a customer, there is an old saying, The customer is always right, and a review is not an invitation to argue with a customer, it should be an opportunity to try and do better! The restaurant did not live up to the expectations of our group. The chicken wings were great, as suggested by many reviewers. However, the steaks were definitely not great - lacked flavor and seasoning. The mushroom sauce on the side definitely helped improve the taste. The carrot cake and the molten chocolate cake were not the best either. Overall, not a great culinary experience. Our waitress was really good. She was funny and efficient. After a pretty long absence, recently went with a friend for lunch and was very pleased! The mussels were delicious as was the cheese steak. You must try the onion rings they are off the chart!! Barb and I enjoyed Happy Hour today at Buffalo Chop House in PSL. Today they offered wings, a buck a wing. You had your choice of 10 different flavors. The wings were meaty, large, and not pre frozen. One of the best wings we've had in St Lucie county. Another option we tried was a roast beef sandwich that was moist and on fresh roll with two different types of sauce. The service was attentive and very friendly, With five beers, order of fresh onion rings made from scratch, six wings and cheese cake, the total bill was $42 before tip. Will be back again for sure. Last time I got take out and this is the first time, my wife salad was missing. 10.95 for a salad, and it was on the order right but M.S. did not check everything was in the bag. Then when I called to have it credited back to my credit card. I was told no one there could do that and I would have to call back when a manager waw in. Maybe you should take my number and have a manager call me back. Note when I called to let them know. It took several calls for someone else besides M.S. to answer! Tucked away on a small strip mall is a hidden gem in Port St. Lucie, Buffalo Chophouse. The service is fast and friendly, the food is not only good but provides good value. We shared the Chop Salad, which I highly recommend. It's plenty big enough for two people. I had The Weck, a name my spell checker hates but you'll love the sandwich. It's a big, fat sandwich stuffed with sliced roast beef and topped with pretzel salt. The meat is surprisingly tender and comes with fries or onion rings and horseradish sauce and au jus. Fast, friendly service, good food coupled with good value make Buffalo Chophouse one of our regular stops in Port St. Lucie. read more
