So as a casino it's fine. Located in downtown Buffalo the casino has been drawing crowds. That's why I came actually - I had driven by twice in the early evening and saw many cars heading into the parking lot. So I thought I should check it out. We saw a few craps tables, a few roulette, and various card game tables, blackjack included but many others as well. And then slots. Many many slots. This is a small casino overall, which can have pros and cons. Pros include easy to get into and out of, a small more intimate environment. Cons include small, not many tables to choose from. The drink servers were visible and it was easy to get water, small bottles, but water was easy. I'm not sure if you pay for alcohol or not. But tips for water are assumed. Smoking is allowed. Including cigars. So from the minute you open your car door to the minute you take a shower later you smell smoke and will smell like it. It did seem many people were not bothered by this. And I grant you all casinos except one I have ever been to allow smoking. So it's the norm. But it did result in us leaving sooner than we might have otherwise. Loosing also helped that departure along though. All in all I enjoy casinos on occasion. I'm not sure I need one in the middle of a city but judging by the crowds many people are quite happy to have this casino. I only hope no one is banking on winning, the odds favor the house always. There is a small place to get a sandwich, gelato, coffee, breakfast and more. Have to say, it looked good and clean but we did not try any food. I can see going back here to kill some time or entertain out of towners. Easy access, close, easy parking, all good. Smoking not as good, would be great to have a smoke free area. 3 stars - it's a-ok. Worth a visit if you like to gamble. Parking was easy and free. read more

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!! Highly recommend staying away from this place. Covid rules are way to laxed. This whole place is a "super-spreader" petri-dish. As for the gaming....forget about that too. No action for the money. Slots are so tight, the only way to get some money out of them is to pry em" open with a crowbar! This place was garbage before the pandemic and somehow, they managed to make it even worse....I will NEVER go back. As for the other Seneca properties, they are horrible as well. Tried to have a late lunch this afternoon. Restaurant was probably one quarter full and most people were eating. I was seated promptly and was assured that my server would be right with me. I waited patiently for between 10-15 minutes without being acknowledged by my server. I left. Pitiful service. read more

Hello just finished eating at the western door buffalo creek. We had a great time food was spectacular. The service was truly warm n friendly. Our server Lucas made us feel as if we were eating in our dining room and he was serving us . It has been a package deal after a long Easter Day Lucas was spectacular even though he put in long hours. We would recommend the restaurant and ask for Lucas to be your serve As good as the western door is that is how bad the buffalo creek restaurant is. They just can't get it together The old system was far superior than what is going on now. I try to avoid this place but the western door is closed on Monday. The service is horrible read more

Unlike many people, I am happy there is now a casino in downtown Buffalo. Although I understand that there is a link between gambling participation and casino proximity, it is still a win for Buffalo to have people visit this otherwise forgotten about area. With that being said, this casino is nothing to write home about. It's very small with little gaming variety. Get ready for a lot of penny slots and a handful of craps tables. Dining options are also limited. You can pick up a sandwich or a snack, but don't expect to have a sit down dinner while visiting. After enjoying a couple really great meals at the Seneca Niagara casino, I was hoping for more from Buffalo Creek. Unless you suffer from a serious gambling addiction, do not plan on spending a full day here. Additionally, doesn't everyone visit casinos for the free drinks? I know I do! Unfortunately, no one is receiving any complimentary cocktails here. From what I've heard, the casino is not allowed to serve anything for free due to an agreement with the city of Buffalo and the surrounding bars and restaurants. Disappointing for my liver! On a positive note, parking is free and there are often promotions for free slot play. Just sign up for that handy Players Club card! All in all, true high rollers might want to go elsewhere, but for those of us who are just looking to sip on some well whiskey and see what happens with a twenty dollar bill and a slot machine, Buffalo Creek will work just fine. read more

Convenient but cheap for a casino. The food sucks, no real restaurant or entertainment. $25 minimum bet to play a real shoe on a blackjack table. Automatic shufflers ruin the game of blackjack. $50 minimum tables give you option for no mid shoe entry. Too many bums that buy in for $20 at a time and slow up the game. Valet is a little slow. The only thing worth using your player points on is the booze. No place to sit down and enjoy bar atmosphere like at stir. If you plan on gambling and enjoying yourself just drive the extra 20-30 minutes to seneca Niagara. Good luck read more

For all the hype, I was underwhelmed. I think it would have been nice to have an alternative to Seneca Niagara in the city, but really, in terms of bells and whistles....not so much. Little to do or see when you want to take a break from gambling, but at least the location is convenient. read more

We had a party of 8 for dinner at the Western Door. Never again, five of the eight meals were awful. The apps and sides were room temp, the service was blah. Dinner took over an hour to be served. Go gamble if you like breathing in heavy smoke from others but eat elsewhere. read more

This place reeks of smoke and has no air circulation. The table games staff are friendly, but the other staff at the restaurant, gift shop, and cafe seem to all be degenerate high school dropouts who are not qualified to tie their own shoes let alone run a register or serve you food. read more

Drove quite a long distance here in my electric car (which is my only car) because I heard that they had electric car charging stations. What a surprise when I got there to hear that they have them but they are not installed yet. So, with not enough charge on my battery to get home, I had no choice but to find another place to spend my money while my car charged. read more

This place is TRULY raking in the dough, forget about winning anything significant, you are LUCKY to get the money back that you came in the door with. No free alcohol(takes away the sting of losing), no buffet, no rooms to schedule work conferences, lots of seniors and smokers, oh and lots of table games which keeps the craps inside and off the city streets. There is a smoke free area that will freeze your buns off as you try to get any kind of free spin!! High Limit slot area with slots from $1 per line to 45.00 per nine line machine and higher. Buffalo is the 4th poorest city in the nation and if you patronize this place, Buffalo will graduate to number ONE. 1) Good parking. 2) Usual fast and unhealthy foods: pizza, hot dogs, wings(check make sure cooked properly), pastries, cookies and ice cream. 3) wine costs 6 and beer cost 4 per glass. Usual gimmick given to card holders of small free play to get you to come back (in other words stirring up that addiction) and slot dollars for points earned on your card while trying to get that cha-ching/jackpot. I guess it is OK if you take as much as you can afford to give away, leave your check books and cards at home; visit with the purpose of filling up on free water, soda and some juices.
