We are from Dallas, TX and found this place as we were on a road trip for July 4th weekend. The food was fantastic. I had the chicken salad, my daughter had a cheeseburger (which I sampled) and my wife had a barbecue burger. Outstanding flavor and well seasoned meat. The burger is one of the best I have tasted. Well we found this great place by accident almost. Traveling with my kids and we never been to Oklahoma. We are staying in nearby Paris,Tx and decided to head up to OK for dinner. That's the way you get credit for being in a state. Driving through doesn't count. We had great BBQ here. My kids had the pork and I had smoked and spicy sausage. All were amazing. I wish this place was closer to home or I'd be a regular for sure. If you ever find yourself in the Paris TX area take the ride up. Avoid the local chains. This place is worth the trip. Really good place. I stopped in to get a hamburger but the smell of the barbecue was too good to pass up. I ended up having a Holy Smokes BBQ sandwich , which is a brisket or pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw and a side order of fries. The sandwich does not come with BBQ sauce on it but they bring it separately. I had them bring the spicy sauce, but tasted the sandwich before they brought it and it was so good that I did not even use the sauce on the sandwich. I tried some of the sauce with my fries and it was really good but the sandwich just didn't need it. The staff was very friendly & kept my tea glass full (which is quite a job for me). Another silly little perk is that when checking out I noticed that they had wet wipes. I will definitely be stopping back by here again the next time I am in Hugo. read more

I had the Buffalo burger with cheese fries. The meat was cooked perfect. Was juicy and great flavor. Vegetables were fresh and crisp on the burger. I also had a single rib that was fall off the bone good. Unique flavor, not a typical smoked flavor. Almost a baked flavor. Their spicy BBQ sauce isn't hot at all, just a hint. After several locals pointed me to the Buffalo Grill for lunch, I'm glad I listened to them. The restaurant sits on the westside of the little downtown area by the railroad tracks which adds to its atmosphere! On the menu you'll have many choices to choose from. Exotic meats like Bison, Elk and others depending on market availability. I had the Bison burger which was cooked perfectly and very tasty! Service and speed only add to my 5 star review! Not too bad. Not amazing food but good selection. For the size of the building the dining room is quite small with only 12 tables inside. It does have a huge outdoor patio with TVs, lighting and ceiling fans, but none of that matters when its hot and humid outside. I think they should serve beer atleast. read more

Far be it from me to give this place anything but 5 stars. The food was delicious and plenty of it. We got the meat plates and I Mr Piggy decided on two meats. The pulled pork and sausage. Won't make that mistake again. It was too much. Should have stayed with the pulled pork only. Potato salad was one side and the other was the cowboy beans. The beans were the best. We were camping and came to town shopping at Wally World and decided at the last minute to eat lunch. Glad we did. The staff were very friendly and the food was out quick. Will definitely be back. In Hugo on business. Saw the crowd at Buffalo Grill and opted to give it a try. Very glad I did. Could smell the hickory as I opened my door. Brisket was great. Nice spice and smoke ring, and fall apart tender. Ribs were very meaty and tender as well. Sides tasted great. Waitstaff was very good and attentive. Bre, my waitress took great care of me. Although we love your establishment, we are very disappointed in the choice of GM you have chosen for the Hochatown location. More than 13 employees that have previously been employed at the restaurant he used to GM have complained he would delete hours so his labor cost would look better, letting people loose their hard earned money. He would edit tips so the cashiers that he "LIKED" would get more. He was stealing from the company by staying on the clock while leaving and drinking. Then he would hire women just because he wanted to look at them, not because of the experience. We would not say this because we are angry. We say this because we do NOT want your employees to all go downhill. People who had families lost money. This is NOT a person you want running you establishment. But again.
