Made a random stop here on a recent road trip and we're glad we did! We had a party of three and we sat at the counter and had a front row seat of chef Ryan (the owners son) prepare some of the best burgers you'll find anywhere! We each ordered the cheese burger with chopped brisket, grilled onions and grilled jalapeño!! The burgers were also served with lettuce, tomato, mayo and a spicy bbq sauce!!! We also had sides of fried okra and tater tots. The tater tots were average at best but the fried okra was very good, but the highlight of the show was definitely the burgers topped with the chopped brisket!!! Chef Ryan was quite the character and really made our dining experience fun. I'm not sure when I'll find myself out in Hugo Oklahoma again, but if I do, I'll definitely be stopping by Pit Stop BBQ & Burgers! read more

Fast, friendly, and fabulous! The first nice thing was the easily accessible, ample parking. we immediately found a parking spot even though it was peak lunchtime service. When we walked in, we were met with a mixture of scents ranging from burgers that make you want to forget your manners and dive right in to BBQ that had been carefully watched over for hours and served up the moment it reached perfection. If that hadn't already put a smile on our faces, the fact that our server, Stormy, was at our table taking our drink order the moment we were settled would have done the trick. While we were enjoying our iced teas, we reviewed the well balanced menu and after an appropriate (and short) amount of time , Stormy came and took our order while having a very upbeat, pleasant, and accommodating attitude; This was also quite a pleasant surprise considering that the place was packed along with a constant stream of customers coming in to dine. Our meals were brought to our table in less than ten minutes, and everything was tasty and ample portion-wise. My partner had the two meat meal consisting of sliced brisket and a spicy sausage with pinto beans and coleslaw. We are both partial to a more moist brisket, but he said he really enjoyed both meat choices and the beans were nicely seasoned while the coleslaw was not too sweet. I had the same meat selection with the same assessment, but only had a nice side salad ( big enough for 2 or 3 people); we were both very happy with our meals and absolutely stuffed! The only things I might change would be, 1) ceramic or paper plates instead of styrofoam, and 2) a BBQ sauce that was hot and spicy instead of sweet. Other than those minor items, this place was great and we both would recommend coming here for a nice, quick, enjoyable meal with friends and/ or family that gives you that down home, welcomed feel. The staff is excellent and the food was bomb. We stopped here nearly every day for the duration of our family reunion and spread word of the location to other family members who were also here visiting. Definitely one of the best spots around and had excellent experiences here. read more

Dang. This place is good! Stopped here on our way home from a day just spent driving to get out of the house. The ordering was drive thru only and they made quick work of our order. It was delish. Everything tasted fresh. It was a good amount of food for three hungry people. In fact we were worried about food comas on the way back home it was so good. While the dining room was closed and we were far from home we were great full there was a covered patio and tables. It was nice to finish up our day relaxing there. Next time I'm in town this is on my must eat list!!!! read more

Had to wait several minutes to get waited on. The sliced brisket was tender but cold. The potato salad had no taste. The pinto beans were good. The roll was straight out a package, why bother? Ambiance is nice. The bbq sauce is good. read more

Usually love the service and the food is usually great but had bad service yesterday with a glob of hair in my food so nasty!! This is just one time and I understand stuff happens but should've at least offered a refund read more

We stopped in on our way through the area. I was a little put off that we were the only people in the place wearing masks, but decided to get take out and eat on the road. Ordered the sliced brisket, sausage, beans, coleslaw & potato salad. The brisket was sliced thick, tender and delicious, cooked perfectly. The beans were pretty good also. Sauces tasted like Head Country, and weren't anything to write home about (in my opinion). The sausage tasted like Hillshire Farm. Potato salad: tasted like lemon cleaner. Coleslaw tasted like Reser's from the store, which is fine, just not "amazing". The brisket was GREAT, and I'd go back just for that. The rest of the meal, I could take or leave. read more

Great place in a very small town....friendly greeting as soon as we walked in the door...promptly seated and severed delicious southern sweet tea within minutes.....small menu but some great choices...pulled pork was most excellent and served on very fresh bun, fries were reminiscent of board walk fries back in OC Maryland. Cute, well done interior is very clean and neat. Excellent food and service!!!! read more

Stopped in last weekend. Got a couple of bacon cheese burgers w tots and rings. Damn good! Great quick service. Will go again.

Not sure what the big deal is. Stopped for some BBQ ribs one evening because this town doesn't have much to offer as far as quality artisan restaurants. Was told they don't make ribs on weekdays.............did someone not pass the memo to these folks down here that RIBS may be the single most popular BBQ menu item.......annnnnd they don't make them during the week. So I ate some mediocre pulled pork. Gotta lot to learn about BBQ. Put ribs on the menu and I might be back. read more

Wow!! Stopped by for lunch on our way home. Everything we ordered was fresh and good!! The brisket was so tender!! The pulled pork sandwich, hot link sandwich & hamburger were ALL good! The service and owners were friendly and helpful. If your going through Hugo, this is definitely a great place to eat!! read more
