We had a family dinner and lunch the next day while overlooking the harbor and waterway that divides Canada from the US. Yes, that bank of land? That's Canada right there. I giggle because growing up in Buffalo, many of us never thought of Canada as a foreign country; we thought of it as "the next town over." In these times, the club is a little short-staffed; that just gave us more time to mix and mingle and enjoy the view. One of the oldest yacht clubs in the country, founded when Lincoln was President, pretty cool.

When a few tables had finished there meals and left , they had put over 10 tables together , making excessive noise and scrapping tables and chairs along the floor so loud that you could not hold a conversation at our table without almost yelling across the table . There were about 6 of there employees doing the set up. The ambiance of this lovely quaint country restaurant was gone . Also, I realize it was a Saturday night and busy but really pick up the tables ( they are small) and pick up the chairs other people are trying to enjoy there evening and spending hundreds of dollars on this meal. Walking up the path to get into the restaurant is quiet and serene. When entering the restaurant you enter a portion of dining room and can see the bar. Super nostalgic. The food, drinks, and dessert were all fresh and delicious. I had the Norwegian Salmon and a glass of Col Taylor (Bourbon). Paired wonderfully. My wife had the prime rib with a glass of Jingle Juice. She loved them. The service was top tier and consistent. I thoroughly enjoyed small talk with the staff in between meals. Overall my wife and I love this restaurant. It has become my favorite place. Beer battered haddock taco 6/10 The fish was cooked good but the taco as a whole was suuuper dry. There's nothing wet on there besides the little tiny strip of sour cream. To make this better: turn the cabbage into a coleslaw, and add a crema or tomato salsa or something else to balance out the wet:dry ingredients better.
