Had a hotpot combo, an additional broth as well as a vegetable combo. I wasn't sure what to expect from the vegetable combo, and it was mostly greens (bokchoy, watercress, broccoli, Napa cabbage, lettuce, and a few slices of sweet potato). Partner had a stir fry and we shared a few appetizers while our pots boiled. Service was completely fine and what I expect from an Asian restaurant. I really appreciated the buttons behind the table to ask for service. I prefer this dining style because no one is interrupting you while you eat, and they come so quickly with a press of the button. Soooooooo disappointed I had seen the photos which I thought were cool and wanted to try it out. The menu was a little confusing and I explained that to the server and that it was my first time there. She did explain the menu a little better so I understood what I was getting. She failed to tell me that I controlled the pot and needed to turn it on. Once receiving my food, luckily another server walking by realized my pot wasn't actually on. The other server also explained the station of sauces they had as I was definitely wondering how this raw food was going to be seasoned. While choosing your food options, you pick a broth for your flavor. I chose seafood which unfortunately seemed like water and imitation crab meat. The food ended up bland. Several of the sauces at the station were empty. The ones I did try I was not a fan of so stuck with soy sauce. This place could be a gem with better communication and some instruction. They also offer breakfast/ brunch on Sunday if you want to check it out. Approx $10/ person. A friend wanted to check out this place so we stopped here last night. We got here at 5pm and there wasn't a wait for a table. There are many booths and I noticed a private dining area for groups of 10 or more. We each had a pop. (Orange pop for me and lemonade for my friend.) It was two small cane for $1.75 each. Monday through Thursday they have a $26 All You Can Eat special. We decided to get that, even though they have a separate menu. (The other chef wasn't there so we were told that we couldn't order an appetizer off of the regular menu.) I received one paper menu for both of us. You check off what broth and other menu items you would like. I ordered a seafood broth, shrimp, scallops, sliced carrots, and steamed rice. My friend had a different broth with thinly sliced rib eye, cabbage, baby bok choy, lobster flavor balls, and shiitake mushrooms. The broth is brought out and you heat it up yourself by turning on the burner. The dial is in front of you. I didn't realize the shrimp would come out raw, with their eyes still on there. (I didn't know WHAT I was thinking.) I gave them all to my friend and told her she could have them. Once we had our food cooking, we got up and added ingredients and sauces together to create our own dipping sauce. I added my dipping sauce to my rice and my friend added her to her broth. Our waitress asked that we use gloves, when we are at the dipping sauce station. There is a karaoke area here but the sound was odd (or really low), which I was fine with. Was craving some hot pot and found this cute place. It's a large venue, chill ambiance, and very spacious. It was a weekday afternoon so there weren't many customers. For a party of 3, did a la carte style with the yin and yang (spicy vs non) broth + picking various vegetables and meats off the menu. You check off what you want and give it to the waiter. I liked being able to try all the different dipping sauces and toppings to spruce up your food. Unfortunately, we spent $50 + tip and still wasn't full. With hot pot (especially during family hot pots at home), I can usually eat large amounts of it and $50 can get tons of food for a DIY hot pot. This was more of an afternoon snack for me. Next time, I will probably do the all you can eat (AYCE) buffet. I did not know about it at the time and the waiter did not mention anything like that to us. Im not sure when this place opened, but I can't believe it's taken me this long to get here! Giant tv screens with sports and news and music videos, public karaoke stage, fully sound proof private karaoke rooms... it made me feel like I was home (Taiwan). Hubby and I came 2 weekends ago for a late lunch, it was around 2pm on a Saturday, there were maybe 2 other occupied tables (not all having hot pot though, since they also offer a full menu of typical Chinese dishes). If you've been to the melting pot, it's kind of like that, except a million times better. We decided to go with the big yin yang pot (split pot) - half herbal broth and half tomato broth - both were solid choices. Btw, you can also choose to have individual pots with your own broth so you don't have to share, this is a great option especially if you're a germaphobe or simply don't like sharing. I showed hubby how to make the dipping sauce since it's been a year since he had hot pot in Taiwan when we were there last year. I use satay sauce as the base, top it with sesame sauce, peanut sauce, garlic, tons of cilantro and green onions, and finish by drizzling a bit of sesame oil and chili sauce/oil. We ordered a ton of food... started with an order of the Mongolian lamb pie (pretty good, but didn't like it enough to order again). For the hot pot we got the beef and lamb platter, cuttlefish balls, mushrooms, radish, spinach, homemade noodles, pork stuffed meatballs, frozen tofu, lotus roots etc. It was a ton of food, but we soldiered through what we could and took the leftovers home and made dinner the next day at home with more spinach and noodles. We went back with friends last weekend and they loved it! We got the herbal broth and the mala spicy broth that time, but I would not get the mala spicy broth again - even though I like spicy food, I don't like it when it's that spicy. We ordered the usual but also beef balls, and tong ho veggies (Chinese green veggies). Just some pointers if it's your first time: 1-Wait until the broth start to boil before putting anything in. 2-Put all the meatballs and fish balls in first as they take a while to cook, but the thinly sliced meats literally take only a few seconds to cook so don't leave them in too long. 3-watch out for the pork stuffed fish balls, poke a hole in it first so the juice inside doesn't spray and burn your face as you bite into it. 4-eat everything with the special sauce you made! 5-throw in the homemade noodles and veggies last and finish the meal with a bowl of noodles and soup! 6-use the call button whenever you need service, or they literally never come to your table (which is actually more efficient - and how most hot pot/BBQ restaurants operate in Taiwan as well). Im only giving it 4 stars because some of the items can be a bit pricey, but I'm excited to bring back all of our other friends so they can experience the awesomeness of hot pot, and of course, karaoke! Tried hot pot for the first time the other day here with a friend. Can't wait to go back! For two people I'd suggest at least one meat each possibly one each and share another. Then get a veggie or two and some noodles. Get a mushroom if you like them, they soak up the yummy broth flavors. The black fungi were great and can hold up to some cooking. The enoki get lost in the broth so don't waste your time there. House made noodles were great. "Baby" bok choi was pretty big and a little difficult to eat but easier than the Chinese cabbage which was also cut quite large. I'd never eaten a lotus root so I ordered it and was not impressed. Weird rooty thing that didn't get tasty with broth. Fish balls were interesting but not bad. I got the spicy broth which was fabulous. My friend did the mushroom one and liked it too. We got the beef slices and I wish we'd gotten more than one order. The spicy dipping sauce recipe with vinegar and soy sauce is a good sauce to compliment spicy broth. Will be back to do it again soon! Staff were polite and helped us get set up. I was very happy to have chosen this restaurant for the evening, I ordered my food and waited not long for its arrival. Upon my foods arrival it looked stunning and amazing so I immediately started to eat on my second bite I noticed an extremely long strand of hair inside my food and was immediately disgusted with my food. I expressed my concerns with the waitress and told her I was done eating I didn't want anything else so I left the restaurant and was fully charged for my meal no discount or credit was given. I will say this, the staff was friendly and polite no issues there, the restaurant looks very nice and clean this could have been a freak accident but I was not willing to continue to eat. I'm not going to go into detail about how to cook and eat hot pot, but Little Lamb is a pretty good hot pot place, and I'm glad it's in Buffalo. What we ordered: - Mushroom broth (me), tomato broth (husband) - Non-hot pot dish: tofu with preserved eggs - in the Sichuan cold dishes section of the regular menu - Sliced pork loin (husband) - Shiitake mushrooms - Fried tofu - Fried gluten balls - Taro root slices - Chinese cabbage - Bok choy - Handmade noodles - Glass noodles The one item I wouldn't get again would be the fried gluten balls. I've eaten Chinese fried gluten before as a vegetarian meat substitute before, but these balls were weirdly chewy no matter how long we cooked them. I also agree with a previous review about how some of the green veggies should be cut smaller--it was hard to eat the cabbage and bok choy since the pieces were huge. My favorite hot pot item were the taro root slices, but they're something I always get at hot pot places if available. They're much more flavorful than regular potatoes. The tofu with preserved egg dish was great, but isn't for everyone (Google "century egg" if you're not familiar with preserved eggs, and you'll understand). I ordered the dish thinking that my husband would politely try a piece of egg and a piece of tofu, but that I'd end up eating the rest of the dish myself. Much to my pleasant surprise, he liked the dish. So if you're also feeling adventurous, try it. At any rate, I think ordering a cold dish in addition to the hot pot is a nice way to change things up. Eating things cooked in hot broth and drinking said broth heats you up quickly (insert bad joke here). I'm not a fan of all the TV screens in the main dining room, but I'll deal with them if it means I get to eat hot pot. The service is a bit variable. We first received a bowl of congee (rice porridge) instead of the tofu with preserved egg we asked for, and our waiter didn't seem to understand the issue at first, but the mistake was eventually corrected. We also asked him later for a box so we could take home the tofu we couldn't finish and he said sure, but we had to ask someone else for a box again after some time had passed. But it seemed like he and the other server working the room were attentive to other diners who were clearly first-timers with questions, so don't be shy if you're new to hot pot and you should be fine. read more

It was very very good. They bring you a menu to check off what you want and take that back to the kitchen, so you do not need to tell them what you want to order individually. It was a little unorganized when we went in, there seemed to be only one waitress at the time we arrived and they told us it was going to be a 30 m wait but we got seated 10 mins after arriving. A few people left because they were waiting there a while but I did not personally experience that. The food is very fresh, I got to try a lot I had never experienced at other hot pots. It's the only one I could find in the Niagara area that holds a traditional layout, but there are a lot of TVs and it is quite loud at times but also very peaceful when not everyone is talking. I recommend coming with 2+ people so you can experience a lot of good food. Mon-Fri it's about $90 for 3 people before tip. The waitress was extremely kind and helped our friend who had never came to hot pot and explained a lot. The prices seem steep on weekends so I recommend coming on a weekday! Good variety of broths, vegetables, noodles, seafood, and meat. The all you can eat option is worth it. There is a sauce station up front that also has bibs. For anyone that hasn't had hot pot it's similar to fondue or an Asian version of the Melting Pot chain (but a much better value than melting pot). You get a pot of broth that is heated to boiling and you cook the other ingredients. Meats are thinly shaved and cook fast even though they come to the table frozen. I think they're frozen for food safety and to keep from sticking together. Vegetables usually take longer to cook. One warning, the shrimp still have the tail, shell, and head. I suggest the spicy broth, don't worry it's not best spicy. The menu comes with a pencil so you can mark off what you want. For vegetables I like to get the small size so I can have more variety. My friend and I for lunch shared one fatty beef, small carrots, small sweet potatoes, small carrots, large bok Choi, and it was plenty for two people, were had left overs. They refill your broth when your hot pot streams some of the liquid away. Don't forget about the sauces! Despite using the spicy broth sometimes your food will still need a dose of flavor. This was a FUN experience. I stopped in to give it a try with my teenage son and my daughter on a Thursday evening last week. This restaurant is in a small strip on the corner of Bailey and Sheridan. It isn't well lit but it is across from Starbucks. It's very large and kind of dark but intimate. The tables are pretty large with nice benches. They also offer a buffet option, which seems to be a favorite of those that frequent the establishment. So again I had never gone, so I had to get help from the waitress to understand the ordering and how it worked. My teen insisted on trying sweet and sour chicken and we also had a small serving of beef and broccoli. Then we tried the hot pot with chicken and beef. We also selected sweet potato, bok choy and carrots. Then we selected a spicy broth which had red chili peppers added. So now on to the "Pot" it is served and turned on to begin boiling. It was very full so it kept seeming like it was gonna boil over. One thing I didn't like is I had never been so I didn't know what I was supposed to do to avoid a mess ... Well anywho ...the menu is sort of Ala cart for the pot. You select which ingredients you want to have added to the broth. They give you a LOT even though its small and large options. I went here with my family for hot pot, and the quality was pretty good. We ordered half the pot spicy and half a mushroom broth and a variety of ingredients which were all fresh, if not large in quantity. In particular, the sliced beef and fish balls were a favorite. Tip: wait until the water's boiling before adding beef. Just swish it around in the water for a couple seconds until it turns brown, and then it's ready to eat. Don't overcook it. Also, always add vegetables and noodles last because the vegetables soak up the oil on the broth which is needed to properly cook your other ingredients and because noodles will make the broth more starchy. The price is a little more expensive than other hot pot stores, and the flavor from the broth wasn't the most powerful. Definitely make full use of the sauce bar because you'll need it. Hot pot is super easy (and much cheaper) to make yourself, but it's so much more fun and less time-consuming to eat at a place like this. The spare ribs were great tasting but fatty. I think they had more fat than meat. The roast duck was awesome. It tasted so good and there was a lot of meat on the duck which surprised me because normally roast duck are super dry and with only a little meat. Visited a few times. Each time a great meal. Hot pot is fantastic, with hot and mild dipping broth in a divided pot along with a dizzying number of meats, vegetables, and tofu. Buffalo Little Lamb is a really fun place and it feels like you've been transported to a restaurant in Asia. I've been here a few times and I continue to order the lamb. I go for the smaller mix plate, which is only $10-$12. You have to specifically tell that that you want this or they just give you all meat. If you take tell them that you want the plate with meat and vegetables, then it's fantastic. The toppings bar is really fun. I like the ability to create my own sauce. It's also nice being able to cook the soup for as long as you want. Overall, this is a cool place. It's great to meet up with friends here or have a casual dinner with your family. read more

They do an excellent job here! orders pretty much half the menu, ised a group on which saves you some. The hot pots work amazingly, awesome when you can adjust the temperatures of the pots.
