What a great spot for a casual, affordable date night! Tried out C Bao on a whim after seeing a post about them on social media. What a delightful, delicious experience. Some of the best crab Rangoon I've had in ages. March special is two styles of dumplings for only $8.99, and you get two full plates of 8 dumplings each, which is an incredible value, and they were fantastic. Give this place a try as soon as you can!

My friends and I stumbled upon C Bao and Dumplings and decided to stop in for lunch on a Sunday. I was pleasantly surprised by their variety of tea options--we chose the chrysanthemum tea. It was served in a teapot with a small flame underneath to keep it warm, and a filter at the spout to keep the flower petals out of the cup, which was a nice touch. We started with the pork and chive fried dumplings, and they were absolutely delicious! I wish we had ordered a second round. They offer a wide selection of both steamed and fried dumplings, which made choosing fun. Next, we tried the shrimp rice rolls and ha gow. We all appreciated how thin and delicate the wrappers were--nothing ruins dim sum like a thick, doughy wrapper. My only minor complaint is that the ha gow and siu mai came in sets of three; I wish they served four instead, which would be perfect for sharing. We also got the soup dumplings, pork and shrimp and just pork. They were good, but I wish they had included spoons and added ginger to the soy sauce--it would have made the experience even better. The beef udon was another hit--flavorful and comforting. And finally, the adorable pig-shaped buns filled with red bean paste were a sweet way to end the meal. I'd definitely recommend stopping by C Bao and Dumplings if you're craving dim sum!

This place looks adorable. There is so much seating inside and the place is so nice and clean. The workers are also super nice and accommodating the food is so good. We had a bunch of items and loved all of them. Wish there were more dumpling options that were either beef or chicken instead of pork that would've made our visit even more good but of the items we had we loved everything.

Delicious! We got the pork bao buns, chicken and vegetable fried dumplings, and pork xiao long bao. Service was kind and the inside was very clean. I 100% recommend this spot, so worth it.

Can't wait to go back! It was delicious. The dan dan noodles were hit and all the dumplings had good flavor! Normally I have to add seasoning and I thought they were delicious!

When I saw the soup dumplings they serve here, I knew it was frozen right away. I love soup dumplings, and I know I can go get a bag of soup dumplings for $5-$6 at the Asian Supermarket on Niagara Falls Blvd. It's crazy they sell the same thing here but for $1 for a single soup dumpling. Who knows what else they're selling that's just frozen stuff they heat up. Save your money and go to the Asian Supermarket and buy your own soup dumplings and steam them!

Very fresh tasting food. The dumplings were absolutely delicious. I love that the orange chicken has the orange peel in it for added flavor. I was overall very impressed with how the food was prepared and tasted.

The cashier was a little gruff, but the woman running back and forth between the kitchen and the front had a better business sense about keeping customers happy. She didn't want me to wait long, so I think she rushed the kitchen a little bit, which I appreciated, but also may have led to some of the demerits on the food I mention below. I was happy to see one dish I ordered, the pig intestine with fish, on their picture board above the cash registers. That gave me confidence that they knew what they were doing and it was the best dish by far out of the three I ordered. The intestine was fresh and flavorful, the spice level was high, but also not too salty. It was a lot of food. Only drawback here was the fish (tilapia?) seemed to be heavy on the breading. The other two dishes were disappointing. Penang curry with pork had good vegetables, but the sauce had too little flavor since they went too heavy on the coconut milk. The pork seemed like chicken, not pork. Way too soft and flavorless. The Singapore Chow Mei Fun had good noodles and veggies. But the curry powder was not blended in. Eating it, I could still feel it in powder form. It was also far too oily. Overall, I think they had a lot of options but next time I'd steer more towards classic Chinese, since that seems to be what they do well. I hope next time the flavors will be stronger and blended better (i.e. powders actually stirred in). I'm willing to give them another chance, since they do have a lot of dishes I like. Last note: the online ordering service does not indicate that dishes come with rice. I thought they would have rice by default, but then when I added the penang curry to my cart, it asked whether I wanted rice or noodles or something else. So that made me think I had to order rice separately, which meant I had twice as much rice as I needed. It also said "quart of white rice" was sold out, but "pint of white rice" was not, yet the rice that came with my meal came in a quart container.

I love authentic Chinese food and seek it out when traveling. So, when in the area recently I did…read moresome research and this place came up as being probably the most authentic in the Buffalo and Niagara areas, so I went for lunch. Sure enough, their menu is legit, filled with many of the recognizable delicacies you won't find at the ordinary Chinese-American joints. Entering the place is odd, they have a weather barrier (those plastic slats) hanging from the door after you open the glass door - very odd placement of them. Inside is rather small and simple, not decorated much, it's truly a carry-out place that provides table service too. Service was decent, far from fancy. I decided to try their cumin beef and an order of scallion pancakes. The cumin beef came out first and though I asked for it to be spicy, it most definitely was very mild. The flavor was a little bland overall and this is typically a dry-wok'd type of stir fry with more oil and less sauce, but mine was slightly saucy and lacking flavor completely. The scallion pancakes looked and tasted decent. Perhaps if I ordered something different I would have enjoyed the food more. I still recommend stopping in if you're seeking authentic Chinese, I'm sure they have some great dishes here.

Secondly, white rice is ordered separately: It is not included in the cost of the dish. The owner handily takes orders (table service as we were alone and I was senior to her); the chef had my order on the table in just five minutes!! Lamb with cumin: Absolutely delicious! The side of rice was just the right degree of sticky to absorb the lamb juices! I plan to stop here every time I shop for groceries at the Asian Market (it's right around the corner).

I usually get chicken but I wanted to try the beef and I was pleasantly surprised. The beef had a really good flavor and tenderness to it. Everything was cooked and assembled beautifully on the plate. This place is tucked in a little bit and you could drive right past it. It is definitely worth the trip over and you'll have plenty of leftovers to take home.
