We stayed in a little cabin here. This campground is a nice little place. Very quiet and relaxed. Bathrooms were clean and showers were nice. It has a nice pool. The cabin was just right. Nice fire pit and little charcoal grill. It had decent parking for our car. It also had a water hydrant. We would definitely stay here again.

Cabin down the hill, short hill up to the clean showers and restrooms.

Place was awesome we were out camping in a tent for 6 nights at Custer State Park and this place was really close out of the park. I googled cabins near my location and this place popped up. We got a cabin to sleep 4 and I think the cabins accommodate for more. Right away after viewing the cabins we were pleased the staff and owner are so friendly. The showers and bathroom were fresh and clean. The campground accommodates for tent/cabins and RV with a fire pit and grill at each site. We almost wished we found this place sooner. The store at registration has groceries/souvenirs/ice/ice cream and other few goods for campers and visitors. I highly recommend this place and after talking to the new owner I know they will do great. -wishing you the best TM. New number is 605-517-0213

Camping Spots are unbelievably muddy when it rains, spots are narrow and difficult to navigate around, firepits are literally just metal rings that they move, showers are clean, but have absolutely ZERO water pressure and water only came out the bottom 3 holes. Uneven ground.

    Heavily wooded.

It's a tiny setup with only a few parking spots and a drive-through, but they make great use of the space. The menu is surprisingly extensive for such a small spot -- specialty coffee drinks, Lotus energy drinks, breakfast sandwiches, wraps, and plenty of quick meal options. We tried the cappuccino, caramel macchiato, and the Gold Digger sandwich with chicken, avocado, roasted tomatoes, and provolone on ciabatta. Everything tasted fresh and satisfying. What I liked most is that they don't try too hard to be trendy or overcomplicated -- it's simply well-made coffee and solid grab-and-go food. Service was great. Perfect stop if you're passing through and want something quick that still feels quality. Would absolutely come back again.

Many times they were busy and they handled the rush so well... we were quite impressed! I enjoy stopping at various coffee shops to try them out and this one has been memorable for me. The flavoring is always on par + so smooth. Their customer service is great and timely. The look of their shop and option of drive-thru a plus! I feel like you can't go wrong with this place + they really are a standout coffee shop. I even purchased a tumbler from them to remember our times out in Custer with. Drinks ordered were an Irish cream latte, huckleberry latte, + English toffee latte. I'd recommend them all! There wasn't one that was a miss... all were great with flavor + not syrupy tasting/ smooth. Although I do have to recommend sipping on a huckleberry latte while hiking around lake sylvan! (; I also ordered an outlaw breakfast sandwich was to die for! So flavorful + tasty! Thanks so much, Miner's Cup!

The staff are absolutely lovely - so friendly and personable, and truly seem happy to help and serve! The decor is adorable and so unique - cozy fireplaces, outdoor patio seating, big beautiful windows to let natural light in. The food was amazing. The breakfast banana split, the breakfast sandwiches, yogurt bowls and the strawberry croissant were all so delicious! And the coffee was on point - beautifully crafted and delicious. They even offer free strawberry infused water and free apples, not to mention the giant chess game you can play inside. All around a 10/10! We will most certainly be back!

We were pleasantly greeted at the kiosk. You order food as there is no table service here. Food is somewhat limited, but service was fast. The restaurant was rather cold inside and many people were sitting fully cloaked and hooded/hats on to stay warm as the front door was wide open. We asked the manager if it was possible to close the door as the temperature inside was so cold and reading the room you could see we were not the only ones that felt this way! Without explanation, we were told no and that's how it had to be. We noticed on the way out that the thermostat was set at 54°! Brrrrr So, we did not stay very long. We ate our less than adequate food with plastic cutlery and left. Probably not a spot I would go out of my way again to visit and would check out other opportunities in the area.

Fresh oysters for breakfast...in South Dakota? Yes, please!…read more My wife and I stumbled upon this gem on a recent trip through the Black Hills. A note about the restaurant from their website: Erik and Camillia opened Hjem A.M. in 2022 with one goal in mind: bring amazing breakfast food to the Black Hills. The food's focus is seasonality and is inspired by Scandinavian/American flavors. "Hjem" means home in Danish. Camillia and Erik found their home in Custer and want to be your home in the morning. Everything was divine. We wanted to sample the menu so we ordered "The Bob" (pancakes with lemon cream and lingonberry), Lobster eggs Benedict which they were out of unfortunately so the gave us some oysters as an apology. Their quiche of the day was a Mexican inspired elote style with a flaky crust and delightful crema, topped with some pickled onions. Their hollandaise was likely the best I've ever had. The accompanying potatoes and hash browns were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Ashly ordered a sausage patty that included a few chili flakes to wake up the tastebuds. I'd mentioned Ashly's birthday and they brought out a birthday treat - rice pudding topped with dried apricots and granola. And a candle on the side. We certainly felt at home at this lovely place. It had a charming decor and the service was top notch. Be sure to stop by on your next trip to the Black Hills.
