You go through a 45 minute training class before they turn you loose on the track. If you have never driven on a NASCAR style track, I highly recommend paying the extra money to ride with a pro for three laps before you do yours. It was an extra $99 when we went. I'm sure the prices differ by season and specials. I also highly recommend you get the insurance for $69. If you wreck the car and it's deemed your fault you will only be responsible for $1000 vs. up to $15,000. They allow your group to take photos on their phone in the pit area but offer professional photos (For An Extra Fee Of Course) before you get into the race car. They also offer a video of your driving experience. They messed my video up so I didn't get one. The things I really enjoyed was the freedom of driving a powerful car by myself. I would try to go during cooler weather if possible. It gets very hot wearing the fire proof suit over your clothes and inside a tin can with a very hot motor. The people doing the driving, training, and your radio crew were very pleasant and knew what they were doing. They make sure you understand all the rules of the track and genuinely care for your safety. You have a radio in your ear to get instructions while you drive. You cannot talk back to them but they will guide you as you make the laps. The car's are fairly nice but you can tell they have been retired from true racing. You can upgrade several times to nicer cars with better steering and more hp (For Additional Fees) It can get very expensive here! It's also not worth going through all this just to drive three laps. If you're not going to purchase at least six to ten laps. I highly recommend just riding with a pro for three laps. That is a ton of fun. You don't start to feel comfortable driving until around three laps. The things not so enjoyable were the nasty damp helmets and flame retardant suits. You definitely want to be one of the first groups out if possible. I would think for what this cost they could afford some Lysol to spray in the helmets. They all smell like a high school locker room. I also think if you purchase the larger driving packages they should throw in a few of the smaller perks. When I say everything costs extra I mean it! They even sell bottled water and Gatorade from a cooler. If you have a lot of extra money to burn and love speed, it's a great experience. I recommend having them check your driving video before you leave.

Everyone that worked with us there were really awesome. Talking with us as we stood in line. Helping us in all aspects of the drive and being patient as it was our 1st time there. The Nashville track was a great 1st track to do this I think. The layout is not too difficult. We chose to do the side by side ride along which was really cool to "race" another car on the track. We are looking to head back out and do the driving experience on our next visit! If you love NASCAR at all, this is a definite add to your bucket list.

One important note is that this dirt track is in central time zone. So, if you live in eastern time…read morezone, the races don't start until an hour later. They also end an hour later too. The first entrance is for the pits or tier parking. The second entrance is for the grandstands. They have great concession stands that usually don't have long lines and are easy to get in and out of. I had no problem parking because I got there early as I didn't know this was central time zone. They first have the hot laps, then the heats and finally the feature races. Some of the type cars that race here are super stock, Late Models, sportsman, FWD, dwarfs, open wheels and Jr. FWD. They have their feature races last like most dirt tracks. The most popular is the Late Models of course but their feature race is not until last. Their schedule says 9:45 but that didn't happen. Anthony White won the crate late model race the day I visited it. He has a nick name the "Dirty White Boy" for some reason.

This venue was okay . Parking is a shit show . Please for the love of God , wash up before you come…read moreto nascar . Somebody was stinking in our section . Wear deodorant. Avoid curry , onions and , garlic 24 hours before especially if it's hot and raining you are packed in like a sardine . The seat space is about the size of an airplane seat .we already got the smells from the track , gas , burnt tires , greasy food . We don't need to smell you too . Secondly , sit your ass down . The drivers can't see you .stop flipping them off . They don't care what you gotta say . And lastly , keep your flags and bad ass kids at home . You don't need to be waiving a flag in that small of a space . Keep your kids and husband from running up and down the aisles . Keep their toys and shit cleaned out the walkways . Be respectful of others and the money they spent to come to these events . Oh, and standing on bleachers in the front row . No . You didn't get spanked as a kid and it shows . Other than those issues , it was good racing !

I attended the Borchetta Bourbon Music City Grand Prix at Nashville Superspeedway, and…read moreunfortunately it was one of the most poorly organized events I've ever attended. I left feeling like I wasted both my time and my money. The transportation system was confusing from the moment we arrived. The maps online and even many event employees didn't understand that there were two completely separate tram routes. One tram ran between the front gate and the garage area, while another ran from the front gate to the rideshare area. I was repeatedly told there was one continuous loop and that every tram eventually went to rideshare. That was completely false. We only learned the truth after finding a small information booth inside the gate. Basic transportation information should never be that difficult to obtain. I also paid extra for garage access, expecting a behind-the-scenes experience. What wasn't disclosed anywhere online was that there is essentially no shade for spectators. The teams worked comfortably inside covered garages while paying guests stood in direct Tennessee summer sun. There was very little visibility into the garages, very few worthwhile photo opportunities, and almost no reason to pay the additional fee. It was a complete waste of money. Another surprise was that energy drinks weren't sold anywhere inside the gates. 5 Hr Energy and Liquid Death both sponsor race teams. A minor annoyance compared to the overall experience. The premium seating experience wasn't much better. Access relied on three manual elevators, with only two operating for the public. A staff member had to radio each elevator to coordinate trips. It took us approximately 30 minutes just to get from the elevator line to our seats. That is simply unacceptable for a premium ticket experience. Weather delays were handled poorly as well. Event officials repeatedly announced that "the weather wasn't cooperating," but failed to clearly explain that they were closing the gates and forcing spectators to wait outside during multiple lightning delays. Guests stood outside the entrance for well over an hour--more than once--without meaningful communication. It also felt as though officials delayed making difficult decisions because the race was being televised on FOX. The race start was already delayed while the FIFA Club World Cup broadcast ran long, and by the time the television schedule cleared, additional storms had moved into the area. Hours later the race was finally called. When lightning threatened again, the trams to the rideshare area stopped operating entirely. Hundreds of guests were left waiting in a small shelter with no clear information. The only alternative was walking roughly a mile uphill to the rideshare lot. The Gray Line shuttle service was equally frustrating. Buses weren't scheduled to depart until one hour after the race was officially called. Since officials waited several hours before canceling, many guests didn't get back to their hotels until late in the evening after spending hours simply waiting. To make matters worse, because the race was officially postponed rather than canceled, there were no refunds for fans who couldn't stay an extra day to attend the rescheduled event. I understand that weather is beyond anyone's control. What is within an organizer's control is communication, transportation, crowd management, logistics, and setting realistic expectations. Unfortunately, this event failed in nearly every one of those areas. I have attended many professional sporting events over the years, and this was easily among the most disorganized. Between the confusing transportation, poor communication, inadequate facilities, premium experiences that didn't deliver, and the complete lack of contingency planning, I cannot recommend attending the Nashville Superspeedway INDYCAR event. There are far better motorsports experiences where spectators are treated with far more professionalism and respect.

Easy self parking, reasonable admission, concession stands are usually short lines or fast serving, and most of all, you can see the whole race track. Whoever, built this track had all those things in mind. There is great entertainment when they have races here too. I have been here numerous times and had fun every time. I have never come here and not had fun In summary, self parking, reasonable admission, like the concession stands, you can see the whole track from every seat. When you leave, there is no problem with traffic getting out.

This is a drag strip of course as you see by my photos I took. Story: I got here early around 4pm on a Saturday. I paid $10 for admission to enter the race track from a nice little lady at the gate. They don't have much room to watch the race from the tailgate of your truck which I like. So I walked to the grandstands to watch the race. By the way, the grandstands are not covered with a roof. So, where a hat and some sunglasses. I did wish that I brought some ear plugs though. It is pretty loud here as most cars don't have much of a muffled engine. On scene: They do have facilities with bathrooms along with sinks and running water where you can wash your hands. The only concession stand that was open was the one under the call tower ( see photo). The concession stand was not open around the grandstands where I chose to sit. You can see all of the race track from the grandstands if you sit up kind a high like I did. Parking is good as I could park just about anywhere I wanted. They do have a scoreboard at the end of the track. I could here the announcer somewhat if I wanted to. Furthermore, it's pretty easy to get in and out of the track once you get here. Most of all, there was no one around me smoking. But, that could be because there was not many people in the grandstands. Now, there was a lot of people here but they were all race car drivers, pit crew members or race track officials.

"The fastest show on Dirt"! And this is the first race of the season this Memorial Day Weekend…read moresince last November. Hope folks still remember how to drive. When your weekend is looking like another stay at home ordinance, thus was a fun little unplanned diversion on our 520 mile trek to Atlanta. Big Mike coming over the broken PA and loud cars speeding around the dirt. Heck who knew anything like this would happen. I guess this is phase 1 or 2 of the patchwork-reopening. People are still practicing social distancing but just barely. However, I did notice that you could serve your own condiments at the concession stand. We arrived 2 hours early at 5pm but things didn't get started until after 7pm. We had a couple of cheese burgers and chicken tenders with two waters for $14. Not bad. $10pp to park and entrance fee to the speedway. This is 3/8 oval dirt track. They have bleachers but many folks brought their own chairs. We travel with ours everywhere so we did the same. Next to the wooden bleachers is grass and people were perched there as well. The track is watered down to prevent dustbowls. You should bring ear protection. We didn't this time although we could have purchased earplugs for $1 each. There were 8 different divisions with 4 cylinder to 8 cylinder and AWD and FWD cars. After sitting on a lawnmower for 3 hours I probably was half deaf anyway so the noise really didn't bother me as much, but Nicole and the little one didn't make it past the "hot laps", the introductory practice laps, which was fine by me since we'd been waiting for more than 2 hours and still had another 2.5 hours to drive to Atlanta.

Formerly Murphy Speedway, this is now a 3/8 oval track instead of a 5/8 oval. Yes, it's been…read moreredone. It's a lot nicer since the first time I came which was about 10 years ago. It has been improved but still needs more improvements. Location; take exit 60 off Interstate 75 and go west for about 4 miles and you will see a sign on the left. You will come up on a V where you decide to either go to the right for the grand stands or go to the left for the pits or tail gate parking. I of course chose to go to the left. The concession stand in the tier parking area was fast and friendly. I used my pick up and parked in the tier parking area. Just back your truck up and pull down the tail gate to watch the race. You can see most of the track from the so called "tier parking" which is what I call pick up truck or tail gate parking. One thing they need is a bathroom facility complete with water and a sink to wash your hands and etc. I saw only one portable stall to go to the bath room on the tier parking area. The dirt track racing was very entertaining and I would come back again. John Ownbey won the late model race on a Friday night while a Chevroltet Performance sponsored event. So this was a big race with lots of cars here tonight.
