After the low overall review average on Yelp, I almost opted for another spot but I figured it's Buffalo Wild Wings. In town for business and working late, this spot was near my hotel and it did not disappoint. Quick service at the bar and very clean/comfortable. Pretty extensive beer selection on tap and it's was very cold. Opted for a semi healthy salad tonight with roasted shredded chicken. Great flavor and the bacon crumbles hit the spot Good crowd at the bar and plenty of sports options to watch on the numerous TV's. I would easily return on my next visit to Clovis. I was originally going to get some wings but decided to go for a burger which I thought was a bit risky but turned out to be a great decision. Just an average BWWs. Lite on servers but the ones they had were friendly and attentive. Nothing to complain about what we ordered but nothing special either. The one major downside to this location is its tv placement. They went with a wide open floor plan which is fine in concept but all the tvs are high on walls around the dining area and most are of only medium size. If you are not sitting in front of one of their 3 large tv screens above the bar it is very difficult to watch the games all the way across the restaurant or you are forced to crane your head way up to see them. Again, the food and service are probably 3 star range but the tv placement is the worst design I have ever seen at a BWWs and that is of course the main reason anyone comes to BWWs. If they could fix that by either setting up a wall of TVs in the middle or reducing their overall number of TVs by getting some larger wall TVs this place would greatly increase in overall appeal. read more

Finally a Buffalo Wild Wings in Clovis! I've been to a few Buffalo Wild Wings in the LA area, so I actually felt like my experience at Clovis's location wasn't too bad compared to the ones I've been to back in CA. This place does get packed on weeknights and weekends - especially when there's a game going on. The atmosphere is lively, with people walking in and out, conversations being had all over the restaurant, and servers running back and forth to take people's orders. Came with a group of friends on a weeknight. It was still pretty early in the evening, so the restaurant wasn't too crowded - but there was a good buzz from all the customers that were already seated. Our server was really friendly as she navigated through our quite-large party. We were given menus right away, drink orders were taken, etc. Since visiting NM, I've become hooked on Wingstop's wings - and since I've had them only days before my visit to Buffalo Wild Wings, I decided to compare the two. They have a plethora of sauces and seasonings for the wings ... way more than Wingstop. You can order boneless, traditional, or get a combination of the two. I think I ordered the small sized wings - 10 traditional wings and I could try up to two different flavors. I tried the honey bbq and the lemon pepper flavors; both were pretty good, but I think the honey bbq was the winner for me. Very juicy, good flavor and the wings were a decent size. The lemon pepper was just alright - kinda dry, and the flavors were not as intense as I would have liked. It also came with a side of veggies. I opted for celery sticks and blue cheese sauce - nothing too special. I know that the BWW's in LA sometimes offers unlimited veggies. Not sure if that was just a one-time special or something. We also ordered a sampler that included tacos, nachos, and quesadillas. The price was a bit over $12 or so, but I thought it tasted pretty good. They definitely give you a good amount of food that can be shared (or you can eat it all if you're hungry enough). Comes with sour cream and salsa - flavors of the nachos and tacos were pretty spot on. Don't mind ordering this again. Was able to try their margarita. The cup was pretty big, but the drink was also $6. Flavor was good during the first several sips although the amount of ice in the cup eventually made the drink taste watered down. tl;dr - A pretty good place to relax and hang out with friends if you want a quick bite to eat or something to drink. If you're in the mood for wings though, I would still recommend Wingstop over Buffalo Wild Wings. The quality seems to be much better over there compared to here; however, the food that I did eat was decent and pretty worth it for the price. read more

So this place is a constant miss. From servers not paying enough attention, sometimes a little attitude, etc. Clovis has a big military population however they don't serve to vertical ids any alcohol even though they do as I've witnessed it multiple times, so what will it be? They do accept CACs which is weird since those are also vertical... Other issues is to the food being average, a little below sometimes, food not coming out in a timely manner sometimes it can be up to 35-40 mins for even just an appetizer to stretch into your entree. The worst is they tend to really forget your order and will ask you repeatedly what you ordered. You don't really feel welcome at the front desk as they sit on their phones not paying attention. Decided to go to this one to watch 3 hours of commercials that included one hour of an nfl game The wings weren't as scrawny as they use to be and were pretty good. Not good enough that I'll be back for more any time soon but not bad. The service was pretty good albeit the absent minded dude waiting us was a little busy. We sat next to a brick wall and were cold the entire time. Sure we could've moved or asked for the heat to be turned up but liked our perspective of all the commercials, I mean games being shown. Three of us went to BWW on a Monday night. Surprisingly, it was pretty crowded. But we were able to get seated after a short wait. The server arrived pretty quick and took our drink orders. Despite handling multiple tables she was still attentive to us. She did a great job. I ordered the medium wings which came in 3 flavors. The size and the taste of the wings was very good. Both my friends ordered the BBQ chicken sandwich which they loved. Overall it was a great meal with great service. My only complaint is that they were out of the beer that I wanted to order. Good food... bad service. Simply put, they are way understaffed. We stopped in to catch the last 20 minutes of a game. As soon as we sat down we ordered 4 beers and 20 wings. It took 15 minutes to get the beers and 25 mins to get the wings. Then another 20 minutes for the check, and a 10 minutes to get the card back. The bathrooms were messy and out of paper towels. To top it off, more than half the tables were empty. I can understand longer wait times when the place is packed, but they had 50% of their tables open. read more

Terrible place, portions are tiny. The wings are over priced over cooked and tiny. Ordered cheese curds and got maybe less than a hand full. Ordered fried pickles and got maybe ten slices.
