Our chips and salsa / cheese were ABYSMAL. Gas station chips are much crispier, the salsa wqs like water + tomato paste, the cheese was thicker and dark yellow, worse than cheapy movie nacho cheese. This was a nice treat. The burger was juicy and the bacon sufficiently crispy. The onions were wildly underwhelming and had zero flavor. I understand they were raw but raw onions can still have flavor! My colleague had a Cobb salad with blue cheese on the side and wow was it large!! Staff was nice and attentive. It was the lunch hour on a Friday but it was super busy. Lots of seating available but they sat us with the sun directly in my eyes. Unfortunate but I was too hungry to care. This place fits quite well in Roswell, N.M., especially the very cleverly designed bar with all the old computer boards underneath acrylic. I was geeking out over that as soon as I sat down. (See photos) The bartender was very friendly as I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon. The bar was busy for lunch time; there's plenty of televisions to catch the latest games, and overall it has a great vibe across the board. I had the Bird Club sandwich with fries. All was excellent, served quickly. Fries were not overdone and the serving sizes were great. Decent beer list, I opted for Shiner Bock. I look forward to stopping by the next time I'm in town; I'd love to try them for supper as well. read more

The high tops were right next to 3 pool tables, so we had to dodge pool sticks the whole time. Our waitress was super helpful and sweet. Four of us visited Farley's for dinner, and I have to say, the building itself really caught my attention. There's so much to look at while you're chatting and waiting for your order. Be sure to check out the walls--there are hidden details everywhere, which is fun to spot before your friends do. The ceiling is full of interesting things too. There's a lot of creative decor made from various parts, like an airplane wing with pieces of what looks like a radial engine exhaust welded onto it. At first glance, it doesn't even look like a wing, but it's definitely intriguing to study, and that's one thing this place has nailed--being visually interesting. Our server was fantastic and full of energy. If I woke up with my head stapled to the floor, I couldn't have been more surprised! The service was great, and the atmosphere was a lot of fun. Now, let's get into the food. We started with the Jack Rabbit Droppings as an appetizer, and they were solid--definitely a good start. I tried a bite of my daughter's patty melt, and it was pretty good. One of the other kids had the Smoky Bear Burger, which I didn't get to try, but they said it was really tasty. I also sampled some of the fries, which were excellent. As for my own order, I had a pint of Shiner Bock beer, which was perfect, but it's tough to mess that up. The real letdown, though, was the pizza--specifically the "El Chingon." From the menu photo, the crust looked hardy and fluffy, but what I received wasn't quite what I expected. The edges weren't really burnt, but the bottom of the pizza was undercooked, and worst of all, there were burnt bits from previous pizzas stuck to the bottom of mine. It wasn't terrible, but it was mediocre at best. In summary, go for the cool atmosphere and solid service, but keep your food expectations moderate. Don't know where the disconnect happened but we were seated and no one came to us. Flies everywhere. When we finally got help, the pizza stove was off (no signs said), and despite the menu saying there's pineapple and orange juice.. the waitress acted confused and said they didn't carry that. Made a stop over in Roswell NM for the night and decided on Farleys because they had a pet friendly patio. Visit didn't start out well. Walked up to the door by the patio where 2 employees were standing and talking, both could see had a pet and didn't acknowledge us. Wife took our dog to find a place to sit on patio while I went inside to the front counter where I found 3 more employees standing and talking. Stood there until finally one behind the counter asked if I had been helped. My hangry mind wanted to say no I just like standing around in restaurants, but politely said I have not. Person I assume was the hostess gave 2 menus to another employee and was to seat us. I told the employee that we were on the patio because we had our dog with us. She said "Oh" and then gave the menus to another employee to seat us and told him we were on the patio because we had our dog with us. He said oh you will have to sit on the patio. My hangry brain wanted to say something but I politely said yes and we already have a table. While waiting on the waitress we had to endure another table on the patio that had brought a Bluetooth speaker and thought that we and the rest of the city block needed to enjoy their music. After a few glances over they did turn down so at least we could talk. I was about ready to tell my wife. We needed to bail them out waitress Kamilah came out. She was extremely friendly and personable. Took our drink order and even brought our dog a dish with water. Kamilah was very attentive and came out regularly to see if we needed anything and fill our drinks. She did an excellent job and a complete 180 from the other 5 employees encountered. Wife had the chopped steak with cole slaw and mashed potatoes. I had the fried chicken salad. I needed something to offset the stop for fuel and get back on the road Allsups burritos and Hatch green chili chimis along the Cefco hot dogs. Both of our meals were amazing and wife's chopped steak was prepared exactly the way she likes them. Despite the way our visit to Farleys started out it turned out to be a very good dining experience. May have gone on too much about the negative part of the visit but want to stress that had it not been for Kamilah's awesome personality and professionalism at her job and the chef that prepared our meals this review would have not been good. Well I've been in here a few times. The food is decent and the atmosphere is decent. The last time I was there the pink haired hostess ruined the experience for us. My wife and I walked in and she looked at us like we had ruined her life with our mere presence. We asked if we could have a high top in the bar area. She sighed like an angry child and took us to the table. While we ate, I was continually distracted by the pink haired hostess. She was SO lazy. The people next to us left and she came over to bus the table. She picked up a fork and pushed leftover food around on one of the plates for a minute. Then she left. I saw her walk away and wait for a couple other employees to clear the table. Then she came back to wipe the table down. She was immediately next to me. Right in my personal space. It took her five minutes! She just sat there and stared into space while she wiped the same spot on the table. The bartender was great though! The water is awful. Tastes like it came out of a toilet. My buddy ordered the Farley Burger and wasn't really impressed. The patty was small and thick on a huge bun. The burger looked large but it was all lettuce and tomatoes with little meat. He did enjoy the fries though. I ordered the fried catfish with onion rings, it was one piece of catfish lightly battered in a tasty cornbread batter. The onion rooms were more like breaded onion strings, my plate wasn't bad but I wish it was two pieces vs one Our waitress was great! A few weeks ago, we were only in town for the night, traveling through to Texas from Arizona, staying just down the road from Farley's. We were looking for a fun, relaxed but lively place to have some dinner and drinks. The wait to be seated was forecasted to be pretty long, about 45 minutes. However, it was less than that and we waited at the bar chatting away so the time went by fast. The kitchen staff was reduced so I can imagine that was the reason for the wait, but the hostess handled the situation perfectly. We were impressed with all of the staff and the food was great as well. We got to try some local beer and I fell in love with the pecan! Finally, order drinks 15 min in. water comes out, and it is terrible - definitely not filtered tap. Nachos, which were a meal, came out first, not with the rest of the food. Nachos were a huge plate covered with jalapeños, salsa, olives, chili beans, and cheese. Overall, it's not bad, not amazing..chili was pretty bland. My pizza came out crisp on the edge but beyond soggy in the middle. I found a manager who agreed it was bad. They removed it from my bill and offered to replace it for free. That was very cool of him. The man got a double burger, which I had a few bites of, and it was very good, although I wish it had been hotter, the cheese wasn't melted. On a side note, the patties were huge, and a single would have been fine. We did have an order of green chili wontons - overcooked and just ok. The cheese was kind of qaugulated on the inside - it tasted ok dipped in ranch but the four of us found the other soy sauce concoction to be absolutely one of the worst things we have ever been given as a dipping sauce. This place is so fun!!! After reading the reviews on Yelp I was a little skeptical but nevertheless I had to go anyway. It has kind of a steampunk type vibe to it with 29 taps on draft so if you're a beer person you'll be thriving. The food was all very good and reasonably priced which was my favorite thing. One thing I loved is that they have childhood favorites like grilled cheese. It is so rare to see that on a menu and sorry but adults love grilled cheese too! read more
