4 stars! This was my first visit to the Elk River location. I noticed there are quite a few negative and subpar reviews. But in all honesty (on the evening of our visit) everything was great. I have no complaints or criticisms whatsoever. Our food was good and the service was excellent. Despite being busy as hell because of a Timber Wolves game, our server did a first class job and we left her a nice fat tip. LOW CARBOHYDRATE: It's very easy to eat low carb, keto, carnivore style at BWW. They have no problem whatsoever adding or subtracting from many meals...like burgers. For example, I got a burger without a bun, without most of the veggies, and I substituting carrots for fries (for the baby rabbit I have running around my back yard). And I LOVE the fact that they use tallow in their fryers instead of disgusting highly processed, industrial, vegetable seed oils. Because of this, I ordered deep fried bone-in wings with confidence. But I went with a dry rub because I highly suspect the liquid sauces have seed oils in them. The sauces taste great. But I value my heart too much to lather on seed oil based sauces. So the food was good. No complaints with the kitchen, just the hosting staff. Customer service was awful. On top of that they charge you a tip fee with your online order, that you are required to pay. I get tips, seriously especially now with co-vid. However when you're customer service etiquette is so bad you just don't deserve a tip. Restaurant had maybe 3 people in the dining area and there were 3 employees just standing around talking while I was waiting at the pickup window. The girl that finally came to help, seemed annoyed. Mind you this was not a busy restaurant at all, so there was no excuse. Can you judge a location of a chain differently than other locations....I think I must. Stopped in for a beer and they had boneless wings for $.63 cents on Thursday nights. Now I am more of a real bone-in wing guy, like to stick with tradition. Plus growing up in the generation that saw the development of the chicken nugget sometime boneless scares the hell out of me. Boneless wings really are the hotdog of the chicken world, nobody knows what the hell they throw in them to get that filling! These were horrible, scary and a little past bland. They barely had any sauce on them, love the Thai Curry, they were not cooked all the way through and the site of them alone was enough to send me running if not for the tasty beer I had. Now I had a couple of bite and they tasted off so I cut one open and it was pink in the middle, gross! They asked if I wanted more but for me, eating raw chicken is a little like drinking sour milk. I'm done with it for a few weeks or a month or a good night of drinking, until my taste buds have forgotten the experience. Kim! Kim with the long blonde hair! She was our waitress/bartender. Can I say amazing? Super amazing? Amazeballs? She deserves a promotion!! I ordered an Apple Redds. Which she brought, along with my husbands Newcastle. Then she brings me a sample Redds Ale with caramel and cinnamon rim as a sampler. Holy cow. I may never eat dessert again. I will drink it! The food was good and typical for Buffalo Wild Wings on footballs Sunday. Kim made this place great. She never hovered or stalked, she was always present as a glass was drained with "would you like another?". She had good recommendations. She was excellent. Another well defined favorite, there is no going wrong with B-Dubs! Especially perfect when you are working late and need to find a quick bite to eat after 11PM on a Tuesday! On this particular night, this BWW location was pretty slow at about 11PM, and although they were winding down for the day, they were especially friendly and very customer focused. A few months ago when i was living in MN, my mom, dad and I decided to take the 30 minute drive into Elk River to check it out. The restaurant portion was full on the Friday night we went, but luckily the 3 of us were able to find an open spot in the bar, and we were able to sit right away. One of the things I like best about BWW is the extensive selection of beer (even if it can be a bit pricy). They had a Lagunita's IPA on draft, which is one of my favorites. And the wings.. ohhh how I love their wings. I'm a fan of wings, and I'll try them anywhere I go, but something about the wings at BWW that no other place can match.The waitress actually brought out the wrong wings initially, which was an honest mistake. But she let me keep the incorrect wings free of charge, as well as comping the wings that didn't come out initially. I have a lot of respect for establishments and employees that will attempt to "make it right" when they've made a mistake. That goes a long way for me. If you're still waiting to go to this BWW or another one of the chains, it's definitely worth checking out. Went here for dinner with my husband. We were ignored by the hostess for about 3 minutes...there were about 3-4 girls just standing around. We were finally seated and our waitress Jean took our order...husband asked for a summit and they were apparently out of anything summit. She then had the nerves to point at the list of beer that they had as if we couldn't read. She came back 10min later with our drinks...ignored us some more...finally took our order...ignored us and socialized with everyone else...finally we got our appetizers...ignored us some more...seated a family next to us who she knew well...they got their order in. We still waited for our food while the next family received their appetizers. We were ignored some more...the next family got their food and then we received ours after them. My husband had some food missing...I received the wrong burger. Ordered a cheese curd and bacon and I received a bleu cheese burger instead. Told Jean...she looked and said I did order the cheese curd bacon burger...took it and walked back to the kitchen...came back within a minute and asked me if I did want the bleu cheese or the cheese curd...I said I ordered the cheese curd. Both burgers were burnt...you could literally taste the burnt meat in the cheese curd bacon burger. Oh...I did receive the right burger but no fries...I did receive the fries about 5 minutes later. By this point we asked for our check and a to go box...Jean said of course....but we were ignored again as she worked the other tables and mingled. Husband was pretty pissed by now...so about after 15 minutes of waiting he finally asked a different waitress for our check...and lo and behold Jean comes with a box and our check....so no. This is the first and last time at this location or any other locations. Ended up boxing the leftovers and throwing them away. I mean...we did pay for it. Lol. I dig this place except that it is so damn loud. Besides that, the service is good and the food is better than most sports bar type places. I recommend trying the deep fried pickles for an appetizer, they're pretty fantastic. I asked for an ice tea and the waitress told me they were out of ice tea, that was kinda lame but O-Well. There is no attempt at compensation or her going back to find out. Another girl brings up my food and red shirts only respond is fo you need any wet naps or regular napkins. I do love B dubs. Just the franchise name seems to bring a smile to a persons face when walking through the doors. Though I have been to way better staffed locations, the elk river B dubs is a nice night out with a few buddies for the game. Or A nice helping of Mango Habanero wings and garlic fried mushrooms with the woman. The bartenders seem to be decently knowleged on drinks. Even though a few of em cant figure out a blue MF'er or a tomahawk, dead nazi, and a couple others. they do birthday drinks (1 free) If youre lucky enough to coherse the wait staff or bartender to do it. (Since when did so many places quit doing a free birthday drink anyways? Booze nazis...) The food is quite hit and miss at this location, thus the three stars. Sometimes your wings are made to perfection, still kinda sizzlin and layered in your choice of sauce, other times, ive ordered food and had it come out super luke warm, with barely any sauce on the wings, as if the cook just said "F it, its the end of the sauce bottle and this person is only paying to be served a proper entree, but this is good enough..." Ugh, laziness. The wait staff, hit and miss also. Somedays they are very attentative and check in on you often. Other days its like theyre too caught up in watching snow flakes drop. I still return here from time to time, just for my mango habanero wings, occasionally a wild wing order when i feel up to it. While most B-dubs are great, the Elk River one is a joke!! We used to go there often and received great service. However, in the last couple years the food quality and service have gone down to the point that I'm predicting the place will close in the near future. This weekend we stopped in and noticed the foyer packed but hardly anyone sitting at tables. The worker told us that they were backed up and food was taking an hour+ after ordering. Yet several workers could be seen standing around doing nothing. We left and went Applebee's. This has happened to us at the Elk River BWWs many times. These reviews seem to show similar experiences by others. Do not go to this BWW and definitely don't order for delivery as you may not know the wait time your getting into...if you get your food at all. I used to go to BWW several times a month, always take out. CHECK YOUR RECEIPT ! The last 3 times I have been in they have over charged me, charged me extras that i did not order and did not get in my bag. The server will talk in circles as to why the charges are there. Then she will ask if you want to see a manager and you will have to wait for him... A couple of months ago they reduced the number of wings you receive in an order, now they have raised the price as well. read more

The Elk River Buffalo Wild Wings is located next to the Marcus Theater in Elk River off of Hwy 169. It can get pretty crazy and loud there at times but is a great place for anyone wanting a good meal. They are known for their wings and fourteen different sauces. Everyone has their different opinion of Buffalo Wild Wings. Based on food, service, and the atmosphere, the Buffalo Wild Wings is a great restaurant. Buffalo Wild Wings has all the food you would expect at a bar. They have burgers, wraps, sandwiches, salads, flat breads, ribs and of course wings. All the food tastes amazing. Buffalo Wild Wings has a number of different sauces you can have with your wings. From Sweet BBQ to Blazin' you will not be disappointed, just be careful which one you choose. The prices are also what you would expect. It is not cheap but it is not expensive. The prices are quite reasonable. The food looks a bit on the small side, but it isn't. You will leave full no matter what you get. The fries are really goo, you don't need to add ketchup or salt to them, they're that good. The food there is wonderful; just be careful on what sauce you choose, if it's too hot you won't be able to finish it. The service was ok, but since it was a busy Friday night when we went that's understandable. The hostess wasn't too friendly which isn't good. The person who sat us also wasn't too friendly and seem focused on seating people and nothing else. Our server was better but not quite. She was slow at getting to us and also was there to do a job, not be nice. She didn't say much to us, but she did talk to her other customers. That made us kind of mad. The questions are on a number of different TVs throughout the restaurant. To answer a question, just push the corresponding number on your keyboard. It's so funny hearing people all around the restaurant cheering or groaning after an answer has been revealed. It can get quite loud, but its a fun place to grab a meal. Any Buffalo Wild Wings is a great one. They have pretty good service and they have an amazing atmosphere. I was placed an order thinking I had to pay each order individual. Yelp wouldn't let me choose anything else for the wings. I didn't receive a phone call so I ended up just sauce and dressing. I am extremely disappointed with our visit to the Elk River location on 11/3 for my 6 year old son's birthday. We had a group of 17 at 2 different tables with 8 at our own table. Our goal was to celebrate my son's birthday and eat dinner as a family. We placed our orders at the same time however we all were served separately. I was asked if I wanted an appetizer and we declined but instead ordered a large wedge basket to go with our wing orders but rather that came out at least 30 minutes prior to our meals. My brother in law received his order next and was completed with his meal before I received my meal. Mind you the remaining 6 individuals at our table still had not been served. By this point my two children were starving and I ended up sharing the bulk of my order with them. When I was done with my meal we than received the wing order for 3 of our table guests while the remaining 3 still had not been served. This does not even include our 2nd table of guests that all ate at different intervals as well. The waitress finally mentioned that they have a newer "guaranteed freshness" program in which they are required to serve our food as soon as it is ready. While that sounds like a great concept that defeats the point of going out to dinner as a family and prolonging our stay. Perhaps timing should have been taken in to consideration rather than having us all eat individually with hungry children at the table. Our family eats at the Monticello, MN Buffalo Wild Wings regularly and have never once been served so sporadically however the manager at Elk River proceeded to say that, that location is doing things incorrectly and was rude. We had a combined bill of over $300 and could not even eat together and were treated terribly. My family and I will NEVER give business to this restaurant again and will be sure to pass along the word. read more

This place is great, but they keep it way to cold. The last two times we were there everyone in the place was asking why it was so cold, it is summer and the air conditioning was just to much. We put on sweatshirts before we left because of how cold it was last time, this time it was even worse. I don't think the manager is thinking of the customers, every table around us was unhappy and people left to get coats out of thier cars.
