We waited 20 mins in the outside sitting area before I went inside to find our waitress. And guess who it is? Yep, the same one. I gave her my food order at 10:20 It didn't get put in. She came to our table at 10:30 with a spiel on a new drink menu. We waiting 20 mins for that but still I assumed she had place the food order. Next comes out drink order finally. I ordered a peach tea. My friend orders a rum/ coke. After 20-30 mins we get our drinks. She actually fucked that up too. I received a crab crown drink while my friend got a cherry cola with rum. Like how did you f that up? The manager came out outside and we told her. She shook her head and said , "I don't know what's wrong with her tonight. It's worse than ever'. Finally got our drinks from the manager. The waitress comes back and say what did y'all order? I said boneless lemon pepper wings. My friend said fries. She ASKS do you want crinkle or straight? He orders straight. I wonder why wasn't the order for the wings not placed a long time ago at 10:20. I kid you not, I got my wings(20 piece) at 11:43. Now I'm asking where are the fries. Oh they're coming. 10 freaking mins later she brings us crinkle fries. I said, we asked for straight. She responded, oh I won't charge you for them. My friend was so disgusted by the whole night that he got up and went to the car. I got the bill and guess what, she indeed charged us for the fries. I paid the exact total and left. How does Legends have such a terrible waitress? Oh, at one point she came to our table while taking the drink order and was vaping. Not professional at all! I will never go to Legends again!

The options looked good salads and deserts and a decent seeming selection of mains. It was a mistake. I had my eyes on the mac bites so I ordered an extra appetizer and they were the best thing about the meal. They are the only reason for the 2nd star. The salads were salads nothing special or bad. The main dishes were where the bad began. My wife got the chop steak (a favorite of hers at home) with mash and broccoli. I got the Shrimp and Grits. The whole theme of the meal was "overcooked." The chop steak was dry and crumbling the sauce was almost sour. The broccoli was covered in clumpy seasoned butter (not bad tasting just poorly prepared) the mash was under seasoned. The Shrimp and Grits was a disaster from the beginning. The dish was served so hot, that the shrimp, no matter how they were cooked before, were over cooked and rubbery by the time the dish was cooled enough to eat. The sauce on top was scalding hot with chunks of undercooked plbell peppers (how they managed that I am nor sure). The grits were way too wet and were flavored only by the sauce. Desert was no exception to the disappointment. My wifes brownie was meh at best, but the creme brulee was a travesty. The sugar crust was way too thick and unevenly torched. I (a guy who loves hard candy and jaw breakers) could not eat the torched sugar because it was harder than rock and again, way too thick. The creme was nice but after having to excavate it from under the polar ice caps of sugar it was not worth it. Service was also not amazing. After a good start ordering and appetizers, the waiter disappeared for a long time. I needed to ask another waiter for some extra napkins and a spoon (grits were too watery) after over 10 minutes with no sign of our original waiter. This would have been somewhat acceptable if they had been busy, but there were less than 5 occupied tables in the building. Over all not a place I'd go back to any time soon. Maybe in a few years more time we'll try again and stick to the burgers.

There have been instances where it felt like security was watching us closely and waiting for an opportunity to confront us. I didn't want to assume the worst, but the pattern became difficult to ignore. Last night, things escalated. We were sitting at the bar, ordered food, and took it outside to the patio. Before we went outside, security specifically reminded us to make sure we paid our tab before leaving. We did exactly that and paid our tab before we left the building. As we were walking out, the same security personnel came rushing after us insisting that we needed to pay. We explained that the tab had already been paid, but instead of simply verifying it with the bartender or checking the register, the situation escalated. My friend was physically pushed by security, and what followed became an extremely serious and dangerous confrontation. What bothers me most is that this could have been handled so easily. If there was a question about our tab, simply check the payment. There was absolutely no reason for the situation to become physical. I'm not going to label the experience as racism simply because we felt singled out, nor am I going to make an accusation of homophobia that I can't definitively prove. However, we are two gay Black men, and the repeated scrutiny and aggressive treatment from certain security personnel has made us question whether our presence is genuinely welcome. I want to emphasize that some of the bartenders have always been kind to us, which makes this even more frustrating. My issue is specifically with the way certain security personnel are interacting with customers. Management should seriously review how their security staff are trained to approach and de-escalate situations. Customers should not leave a neighborhood bar feeling watched, targeted, or physically unsafe. I hope management takes this feedback seriously because we genuinely enjoyed coming here before this experience.
