So Uber was having a promotion during March madness for 10.00 off a ride to a BWW. We decided to give this place another shot. They have made some drastic improvements since the last time we came here, 8 months ago as Yelp reminded me. Beers were nice and cold. They have an experience concierge Alvin that was amazing he offers us samples of wing flavored and said if we wanted something different on the TV just let him know. The to go order that did not happen. I called about 10:30 pm. I had to call back twice because the lady could not operate a phone. Then I place my order of wings and she said 15 minutes till ready. I love Buffalo Wild Wings but this location was a very big disappointment. The service was horrible, the waitress brought us our appetizer and we didn't see her again until we were finished with our meals which were served by someone else and I asked for another drink and didn't receive it. The pulled pork sand which had hardly any meat in it, the wings were dry and burnt and my salad had old/frozen cucumbers on it with dry burnt chicken as well. I visit BWW once every year hoping something has changed but...as expected, it hasn't. When you walk in with low expectations and they fail to meet those expectations, your restaurant has a problem. The following items were not even close to being satisfactory by any standard; First the facilities. When I approached the manager and mentioned that the men's bathroom needed attention, his response was "what's wrong with it". Does that mean there is no standard for cleanliness for your facilities? Must I be the one to tell you there is piss all over the men's bathroom floor, used paper towels on the sink and floor, the trash can is overflowing and piss saturated shoe stains leading out of the bathroom into the dining area? Does that also mean your kitchen doesn't have any cleanliness standards either? Any sane person can walk that thought process to the disastrous conclusion of puking your guts up for three straight days because of food poisoning. Second, when a restaurant's name includes the signature ingredient it should be knocking out of the park, i.e.wings, and you deliver half an order that is dry and almost warm and the other half hot and under cooked, you should either change your restaurant's name or drop your premier menu item and try something else. How does a restaurant delver their name sake so poorly and get away with it? Third is just a pet peeve of mine but it matters. Servers that are not trained correctly sometimes take liberties that cost them dearly AND piss off the customers. Case in point would be assuming I do not want the $.92 cents in change when I pay you in cash. When a server assumes that I do not care if he rounds my bill up to the next dollar and brings me only the bills, it's really hard for me to justify leaving a decent tip. Again a pet peeve. Overall rating of 1 is generous based on how bad this experience was. Another national brand that assumes that their overpriced draft beer, New Castle, and bad wings soaked in a warm sauce will keep people coming back. Shame on them for being lazy with their standards and service processes. I have to be honest. I will try this store again next year in the hopes that someone at the corporate or regional office will have actually gotten off their asses and walked into their north Irving store to correct their sub-standard food, service and facilities. WOW! Is all I can say. We walked in and were almost immediately seated. Our server Brandon was TOP NOTCH! Funny, polite, efficient and ON HIS GAME! The manager Bryan was also awesome. Our food arrived hot, and very tasty. I ordered the deep fried cheese curds and Brandon suggested caramel sauce with them. OHMYGOHS! It was amazing. Almost like a funnel cake. The cheesecake bites were so tasty for dessert. Unbelievable. Even though Brandon was running 90 to nothing with several tables and one that had about 15-20 people at it, he was still on his game. Brandon kept the drinks coming and always asked if he could get us anything. He made us feel like were were almost family. Worst experience ever. I have never been hard hustled this hard in my life. Sitting here with a group of 6 people watching the Rangers game and upon our third round of drinks we get told that we as a table are cut off unless we buy food. Unless we buy food? I was extremely skeptical about coming to this Buffalo Wild Wings location because of all the negative reviews I read. THIS LOCATION IS AMAZING When I walked in everyone was smiling and happy! They greeted me in unison which was pretty funny. Maybe I got lucky because the restaurant wasn't really packed, but the service was GREAT. I had Alexis as a server. She was very kind and attentive. My food came out really quick.. As I was sampling sauces so it surprised me. ( because that's one of the complaints I always see is the food takes forever at this location) The captain Mae was really funny and helpful. She came by my table and chatted with me a couple times it made me feel as if I came to the restaurant often. I felt welcomed and very well taken care of. It was amazing because I received great service from not only my server but another!!! Andrea was very sweet and saw my drink was kind of low and brought me a refill! Horrible Manager!! We had given special set of instructions for the surprise birthday, personally to the greeter who assured us that the instructions will be followed, however, when time came nothing was followed. When we inquired why it was not followed, the manager literally started screaming "it is illegal we can't do that". Well I had no idea what she was referring to as illegal, was it serving liquor on 21st birthday was illegal or serving liquor at 00:01 am was illegal. I am not even aware of any such rules but even if it was, they should have informed us ahead of time. If they forgot to inform us, they could have at least explained it to us properly instead of yelling out making a scene. So this was what was supposed to happen, we had planned the surprise after contacting Buffalo Wild Wings over the phone. We will turn in the cake and candles before 9 pm, we will come back with 11 people at 10:30, server will bring cake at midnight for Birthday with a shot for 21st Birthday. Everything was going as planned. We handed in the cake at around 8:30 pm, we informed them we will be 11 of us, she even asked us what kind of shot would we want along with the cake. Everything was set. However, when we walked in, their was different greeter. She rudely told us that they were not expecting us and asked us to wait. We waited for about 15 mins which we were kinda fine with. Then we order our meal and we reminded the server about our plan and he assured us that it will be carried out. UFC 246 fight night. We understood it was going to be busy. Sign clearly stated that anyone coming after 9 would have to pay a $10 cover. We showed up at 8:30 and still charged the cover fee. Whatever, we paid it. I understand your busy but no one showed up to the table for a solid 20 minutes. 2 fights later we place our order. Finished the meal and placed an additional order for a couple of friends coming to join us. They came and were told they could sit. And as soon as they sat down their order came. And right behind their order came Mo, yelling and punching her hands in a threatening manner. I understand its loud but as a "server manager" you dont come up to customers table being loud and disrespectful like that. We offered to pay our friends cover charge, no biggie. But the answer was "No and and everyone coming after 9 can't come in due to being over capacity." Yet there were multiple empty chairs around the whole restaurant. My sister in law and her husband were basically forced to place their food in to go boxes and leave. No GM or Asst. GM for a busy night, so no one to escalate the problem to. I was referred to the Hospitality Manager that basically did nothing. Poorly handled. Why wasn't anyone actually keeping count of the actual number of people in the restaurant?
