I've really only been to a couple of chinese buffets in my life, but this one was one of cleanest ones I've been to. They're pretty quick with it and they do have a leftover charge for excessive waste. (note the excessive part) the sushi is definitely not on par with like a yama, but its edible. i'm honestly not sure where they get their fish from, but it just barely passes the acceptable to eat mark. some key food items i liked where the pepper beef, green beans, cheesy broccoli. the pickles were actually my favourite, very easy to eat, and very well done. the hibachi was good too, it was my first time having it. I think the pork and the veggies part was the best. they also had a spicy sauce... and it was very spicy. lastly for the fruit, i liked the oranges the best, and the mandarin oranges the least. it had a bit of an artificial taste. oh also forgot the hot and sour soup was bad. probably would not come back again, but its a good option for people who like chinese buffets. read more

My kids took me here to eat lunch buffet on a Monday. We were surprised by how busy the buffet was even on weekdays. The buffet is so spacious with so many rows of buffet food trays. Workers were frequently cleaning the buffet area and refilling the food so it was hot and fresh. Our favorite were the sautéed snow peas and mixed clam wood-ear salad from the sushi bar. We ended up coming back another day because we liked it so much compared to another buffet we tried in the area. This day the make your own Mongolian grill station was open and the young man cooking the food at the station did a fantastic job of cooking my vegetables and shrimps just right so that everything is so snappy/springy and plump. My kids especially loved the ice cream freezers. Parking was easy. While in the Fort Myers area, I became hungry, I saw the sign, Buffet City. Said to myself, "Let's try it." And wow, I was not disappointed. This has got to be the largest buffet in the local area. The food is okay so far i havent found another buffet i liked as much as i liked this one. Its a good thing i only ever eat the cooked sushi because seeing this today kind of scared me, with all the risks that come with eating raw fish, letting it sit out and lose temp like this is literally a stomach virus waiting to happen. The workers are always walking around which is a plus so there will always be someone there to help. Now all the other food is kept hot and the salad bar is good, only complaint is that the raw fish is just sitting there. Its a family establishment so kids are welcome and i also think service animal are welcomed. Its warm and cozy in there the lights are pretty dim so the vibes are cool. The worst experience at a restaurant, ever! Horrible food, horrible service, horrible communication, horrible management. Made a reservation for my 10yr old daughter's birthday. Spoke to young man who sounded like a Floridian. I very clearly stated that I was making the reservation because I have 20 people, and family coming in from out of town. I needed to make sure that the tables were set up and ready to go so we can sit together and if possible decorating ahead of time. So we went over this and mentioned in general they don't sit anyone until the entire party is there. But we cleared that up and he agreed there would be no problems seating everyone as they came, especially since I had family driving into town. So...... They WOULD NOT SEAT MY FAMILY that arrived before me. Finally after most of the group got there they sat us,,.AT 4 DIFFERENT TABLES. I didn't even get to start my salad and finish saying hi to every and she was asking me to pay. ALL OF THE FOOD WAS DISGUSTING!!! Inedible! for that many options ( this, and the pretty tree and pond, is why my daughter requested it) you would think I could find something other than a salad I could eat. Everything tasted like, in all seriousness, they have a rodent problem. They were using dirty dishes, The seafood bar does not meet food regulations. That will be my next call. Especially after how I was treated. I said well maybe it's just me. Nope. My entire family did not like anything. Some thought the desert bar was ok. Idk what happened cause the reviews are generally good for this place but I went with my wife and daughter maybe a month or 2 ago and mid visit the waiters kept eyeing us and refused to come and even check on us. My wife asked for Dr Pepper and they didn't have anything similar so she asks for a water and the waiter rudely replies it costs money for water which is no big deal no need to disrespect someone for no reason. Cool I'll let that slide but what I won't let slide is them further disrespecting us and trying to force us to tip at the end of our visit. Mind you I left out so much of them being a-holes cause my daughter started crying when she hurt her hand on the table. Im trying to get up and one of the ladies legit blocks me and my kid in pointing at the tip spot in the paper basically trying to force me to add a tip and specifically might I add the 20% tip. Now tell me what type of establishment treats their customers like that. I'm not even trying to pull race when I could or say it was for anything like that but at the end of the day I've never went somewhere and gotten treated like that. Boxing me in with my daughter in my hand and trying to force me to tip is so insane I couldn't even believe it was happening. Buffet City 6-23-24 Ok we got here around 4:30 on Sunday and the place was packed. The lobby was full of people waiting to get in. We got our beeper and waited less than 10 minutes to get seated. The place was clean and neat for being so packed. This place has such a large variety of food it will blow your mind. I would suggest you go there hungry as you're going to overeat. I do believe they seem to specialize in Seafood such as Shrimp hot or cold, Clams, Crawdads, Oyster on the Half Shell, and Crab Leg Clusters. They also had simple items like Ham, Beef and Steak Strips. Sides would be Mashed Potatoes and Gravy or French Fries. There was a made-to-order counter where they would cook some food fresh and how you liked. There were lots of Chinese food like Pork and Shrimp Fried Rice, Egg Rolls and some kind of noodles just to name a few. There was a large Cantaloupe, Water Mellon, and Salad area. Up in the front I seen a Sushi and Desert area. For what you paid it's a lot of food to choose from. I would suggest you take along some Old Bay if you like it on your Shrimp as I did not see any there. I tried the cold Shrimp with and without the Cocktail sauce, and it was a little bland without. It needed the Cocktail sauce or Old Bay or both. The Crab Leg Clusters were large, and they were good dipped in butter. Most of the food we had there was good for a buffet. I loved the cold Shrimp as they were very large. The hot shrimp was not made with Old Bay, but they were good. You need to try this place specialty if you like Seafood. There is so much to choose from. This place gets full and it's loud in there with kids running around at times. Service was good and she kept our drinks filled. Her English was very hard to understand at times. I only mention a few food items, but they have way too many to name them all. They also serve beer there if you want. We went about 6:30 on a Sunday with 8 friends. Place was packed, but they did manage to seat us relatively quickly. Waitress was friendly and tried to accommodate us, but definitely a language barrier. We could barely understand her and she didn't understand us. Food was very good and lots of it. My only complaint is the desert section was plentiful but taste was just OK. So I decided on ice cream, SO disappointed with Hersey bars and hoodsie cups! Can't they get at least a soft serve machine with cones and assorted toppings? Otherwise the place was clean and very well appointed. Koi pond and crystal lighting gave an elegant entrance! This place is a guilty pleasure of mine because I love Sushi. Also, I'm very fond of Chinese food. This place has a great mix of food. If you like Sushi, the yellowtail and salmon rolls are not to be skipped. I used to catch my own salmon and in my experience, it's just as fresh. The service can be somewhat dismissive but it's a buffet and they pick up plates and bring you drinks. It can be loud but they do have a hibachi grill and a lot of people. It makes sense why it's loud. It's a great place to go if you can't decide what you want. I'd recommend going when it's busy or first thing after they open. Today's visit was one of the better buffets that I've been to lately and I had a pleasant dinner. Well spaced steam tables. All of the food looked fresh and there was updated food arriving constantly. Disposable gloves were on display and encouraged. Masks required for all customers. I did see one person reminded to put his on properly. As for the food, it was quite good. I had no problem getting portions that were mostly protein and low carbs, but there were other options for folks who preferred that. Some items were not covered in sweet sauces, which is a plus for me. The hot mustard was HOT and that's great. Overall, a good experience and I would definitely eat here again. When we first got there & sat down, there was pizza and all kinds of food under our table we had to ask our server to clean something in the first 5 mins.. We went to make our hibachi plates , & we went to grab the onions , inside were them NAPKINS , there were onions mixed with DIRTY napkins!! I have not been to a buffet in a really long time. I am so glad my wife and I stopped in for lunch this week. The staff is friendly and efficient, the restaurant was clean and food was well prepared and presented. We sampled as many things as we could including sushi which was really good. I had read a prior post about everything having cream cheese in it however that was not the case on our visit. Yes about half of the rolls had it (which I have never been a fan of) but the other half did not and were really good. They even had a veggie roll. Other items included standard Asian dishes and they even offered pizza which was a surprise. There are so many choices it would be impossible to mention them all here. We did not have room for the hibachi or deserts. Next time I go I definitely want to leave room for the flan. I like that they have beer and wine. Of course the wine is nothing elaborate, and they come in individualized containers, which is actually nice because you know you're getting the same amount with every order even if it's nothing fancy, it tasted good enough for a buffet At approximately $15 for lunch or $20 dinner and weekends it's a great value. We will definitely be back again. So why only 4 stars? It's the decor. I think they have great food and service at a great price. I would love to see nicer surroundings that match everything else. One last note about the decor, it is older and nothing fancy. There are a lot of hand written signs about the "rules of the buffet" and of the restaurant. If the management reads this I would suggest a rewrite to enhance the customer service side of the messages and having the professionally printed on a board. It still is a pretty a decent buffet. Lots of choices. Some pretty tasty. Some were not. Some foods mislabeled. Lots of chicken dishes. Hardly anything beef. Beef pepper steak left a lot to be desired. No beef flavor and was bland. General tso chicken was bland. My spouse thought it was baked beans at first. Sauce was thin and runny We arrived before 4 pm. There were two aisles already set up for dinner. Signs were every where that if took one item from the dinner items you would get charged full price for dinner. Then they started expanding the dinner items in various lunch rows. It is not the same quality food. There was a big difference between the lunch ribs and the dinner ribs. So I don't know if I will go there again. Life is stressful enough without having to worry about which bin of food I self serve myself from. Ambiance?? There really isn't any. Basically a cram them in and let them eat sort of place. It's a Chinese Buffet in Florida, you shouldn't expect it to be the best thing ever. So don't go in thinking you're going to have the best Chinese food you've ever eaten. Do go in and expect a very wide variety of food - plenty of options for everybody, both Asian and American dishes represented. I was pleasantly surprised with the variety of food offered and the fact that at noon everything was well stocked and replenished. Also the food isn't piping hot but again you're going to a buffet where the food was cooked and then brought out to sit under heat lamps to be served. I bet your green bean casserole wasn't piping hot at Christmas dinner either Karen when you served it. If you go in knowing you're not going to have THE BEST and hottest food in the world, there will be unsupervised children running around and an old man picking his nose before he picks up a serving spoon, then you won't be disappointed.
