    Seafood Mac and cheese sauce
    Marina F.

This was my first time at Rumrunners for dinner and it was delicious! We got one pound of cold peel and eat shrimp. They were definitely the best peel and eat shrimp I've ever had!! They were very large shrimp, served on ice, and tasted so fresh! We will definitely be getting these again. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat outside and it was very nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] After sunset, it got very buggy and our waitress accommodated us and moved us inside. The service was excellent! For my entree, I got the seafood mac and cheese, which was full of shrimp and scallops. I would definitely get this again. It was very tasty. The sauce isn't a typical cheesy Mac and cheese sauce, and it compliments the seafood very well. Someone I was with got the salmon. It came with rice, beans, and plantains. They also raved about their meal. Excellent food, service, and beautiful place. We will be back!

First time here. Our server was Hailey. Outstanding. She made great suggestions, her timing was perfect. Friendly, and knowledgeable. Was here to celebrate some Anniversary's. The food was amazing Give this place a try if you visit The Cape. We sat outdoors with great views. They had live music.

Understaffed at best. Negligent at worst. We were told this was a great place to go so we made a dinner reservation for our group. Fridays are busy in the winter. I completely get that. It took us 10 minutes to be greeted and another 10 for us to get drinks. Dinner took another 45. Unfortunately, most of it was overcooked or underwhelming. The tuna poke bowl was a delicious exception. You could tell staff were trying their best but were stressed and stretched way too thin. That creeped into the service and demeanor. The real kicker was when the toddler was served a vodka water. Yep, you read that right. Instead of a water, the toddler got one with a shot of vodka. We quickly figured it out and told the server but it seemed to be more of an inconvenience than anything. This place has so much potential but I don't see us coming back again.

From parking to dining everything was excellent. Hostess greeted us upon arrival; she was kind & courteous. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We asked for a water view with partial shade & she seated us at a table that exceeded our expectations.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We loved our view of the canal with passing boats and dolphins swimming nearby.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server, Vicky was gracious, attentive and provided excellent service. Everyone's food was delicious; we had no complaints. I loved the sushi; flavorful & nice portion.

Stopped for late lunch yesterday and really enjoyed it. Grouper sandwich and cocktail was delicious. Doesn't disappoint!

Jamie was great. She made lunch fun! She's very entertaining and enthusiastic! We almost forgot that we were there to eat!! (App won't let me select service and ambiance)

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Came in for 1 quick drink at 4:30 and wanted to sit outside. There were at least 20 empty tables, but we were forced to sit inside sandwiched between two tables because the ones outside "all have reservations and they might come an hour early."[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Obviously by the time we had our 1 drink and left at 5, the vast majority, if not more, outside tables were open. Horrible customer service and lack of foresight on their part.

Nice "boathouse" vibe, on the river. Very nice views. Family friendly restaurant, and even has a big sandbox outside. There were 4 of us dining, and all ordered different things. Wife ordered seafood pot pie. She said it was amazing. I ordered the French onion soup, and slow cooked beef short ribs. They were both done to perfrction, and full of flavor. Cousins ordered airline chicken, and Moho salmon. Again, both raved about the meal. We truly enjoyed the meal. Our server was Haley. She is very friendly and professional. She explained everything we asked with great detail. We would definitely return, and we'd even ask to be seated where she was. I highly recommend this one.

My hubby and I have been here many times a while ago. We used to take a boat ride over here with friends. This was the first time that we came here by car driven by us. The atmosphere is fun and inviting. The food is very good and their rumrunner is excellent. We will be coming back more frequently in the future.

I will start by saying great place to sit out if you have young kids, they can play in the sand, you can listen to live music and enjoy the views. The food was ok, we liked it but didn't love it. Just wanted a little more something! Spice or salt or something was lacking. Atmosphere - A++ Food - B

This is only half of a huge wedge salad that they give you. It is absolutely delicious.

Another great place to eat! We all went here for lunch an wow!!! We were greeted right away as we walked in and decided we wanted to sit outside by water which was a great call because the weather was amazing and the view was great. Our server came over right away and took our drink order then gave us time to look over the menu. We finally decided what we wanted to eat and gave her our order. Food came out in a timely manner, and everything was perfect. My husband and I shared a large wedge salad and the bacon ranch chicken flatbread. My sister and brother in law shared the shrimp wrap with a Caesar salad. When it all came out, I couldn't believe how much food we had. The portions were huge and all the food looked amazing. Our flatbread was so good and the wedge salad was perfect. My sister said the shrimp wrap and the Caesar salad were very good as well. The service was spot on. She was training the girl that waited on us and I have to say she did an amazing job. Our drinks were always full and they were always checking to make sure we had everything we needed. This place has it all great food great service and great prices with amazing views. I also love how they have it decorated on the inside and how you can shop for merchandise if you feel like having some of the cute stuff they have in the shop. There's also plenty of room and plenty of space so bring everyone. Highly recommend trying rumrunners.

Even the drinks were served in chilled glasses. We stopped by for our Anniversary dinner. This place was neat and clean and very elegant. Once we were seated Jay or server came over to bring us bread and get our drink orders. Our drinks were out fast, then Jay took our food order. I ordered the Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail for Appetizer to share. For our main course I got the 12oz Ny Strip med well with a Lobster Tail on top and the wife got the 6oz Filet Mignon med well with a Lobster Tail on top. For our sides we got the Baked Potato and Honey Buttered Baby Carrots. Now for the review starting with the Bread, it was warm, fresh and very good. The Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail was spectacular in size and served chilled. Our Lobster was done perfect and served with hot butter. The Steaks were done to perfection very good and tasty. The Baked Potato was served with Sour Cream Butter on the side. The Carrots were al dente and so tasty. All our food was hot and so flavorful. Jay, our server was right on point with service. This entire night was perfect thanks to Prime 239. I have reviewed over 187 places in the southwest Florida area, and this makes the top 5. If I could give this place 6 stars I would but I must give it a 5 plus. I can't wait to go back. + Gulf Coast Terry

Turns out they have an incredible happy hour, but we were truly interested in dinner... So we asked for a table. The interior at Stone Throw is beautiful, well decorated, and in a great location on Cape Coral Parkway with ample parking. Our waiter, Shawn, was quick to greet us and offer drinks. Husband had some beer questions, and Shawn was ready with answers/suggestions. Being a red wine girl, I happily ordered a bottle from their ample list. We started with an appetizer of brussels sprouts. They were absolutely amazing with pecans... Not something we have had before. Highly recommend. I opted for their prime fillet, Husband had steak Diane. I cannot say enough good about these steaks. We've been to some of the best stake establishments from Naples to Punta Gorda, this ranks right up there! I did get the lobster tail add on, it was the most flavorful lobster tail I ever had in southwest Florida. Overall, one of the better meals we have had in our years of living in SWFL. Shawn kept our drinks (and waters) full, and was absolutely charming during our entire experience. He was always watching and nearby, but not obtrusive. He packed our leftovers for us, and then bagged the containers. Great touch, Shawn! Kudos to the manager who walks around to tables and asks about your meal, what brings you in, and if there's anything he can do to make your trip more enjoyable. Fabulous touch! I truly cannot recommend this place more highly. Will definitely be back! Five stars, Stones Throw!

The place was beautifully decorated, and there was live music, saxophone player which definitely added to the vibe. We were seated outside, likely due to how busy it was. There was also a large wedding party, maybe 15 people or more, taking up a section outside. Our server was managing both that party and our table, and while he was friendly and clearly doing his best, the service just didn't land. It took a while for things to get moving. He brought the menus, but it was a long time before he returned. Drinks took over 20 minutes to come out. Bread came after the drinks, but with no plates or silverware, so we had to eat it with our hands. Not ideal. That said, the espresso martini was excellent--no complaints there. When the food came out, the presentation was beautiful, and everything tasted fresh and well-executed. That part of the meal definitely hit the mark. But then it took just as long to get the check, and by that point, the waiting added up. One small but noticeable issue was the smell of the table and menus--it gave off that old rag scent, which pulled me out of the otherwise upscale experience. I think this place has a lot of potential. The atmosphere is great, the food is solid, and the concept is there. But based on this visit, I would like to see sharper execution on the service side before I'd give it a higher rating. I will return.

We started with the mozzarella and prosciutto appetizer with tomatoes. It was an interesting dish and definitely well executed, though I expected a few more tomatoes on the plate. The prosciutto seemed lightly pan-seared, which gave it a crispy texture that I really enjoyed, and the bread was wonderfully crisp as well. Overall, a solid starter. The main event for me was the Kona-crusted bone-in New York strip, cooked medium. I've had this dish at other Capital Grille locations, and it continues to be one of my favorites. The Kona coffee crust paired with the sauce is such a great flavor combination. The steak itself was a very good cut of meat, tender and not tough at all. I personally would have liked a little more sauce, but I can also understand that the coffee marinade and crust are meant to be the star. For dessert, I had the chocolate espresso cake, and it was excellent. It struck a great balance: rich and decadent without being overly sweet. The service was also excellent. I feel bad that I can't remember our server's name, but he mentioned he was fairly new, around seven months in, and he did a wonderful job. Friendly, attentive, and professional throughout the meal.
