    Breakfast burrito

Traveling through Canyon Texas and wanted to get early breakfast before hitting the road. Buffs was open at 7am and was a quaint setting with bar and dining area. Ordered at the bar and food was delivered promptly. My husband got biscuits and gravy and I got breakfast burrito. His biscuit was buttery with a little crispness on the edge and plenty of sausage gravy. My burrito was made on a 12 inch tortilla and stuffed full...enough to split. Highly recommend! I noticed a girl at the bar with an omelet...which was huge, bet servings are hearty on all. Stop in. It's worth it.

Glad we stopped passing through! Great service, drinks and food was superb. We had the Philly Cheesesteak and green chile burger. Fries homemade along with the ranch. Super soft buns and onion rings legit. We will be back.

Over all, it's ok. A bit pricey for a simple breakfast w/ pancakes. There's no waitstaff and you bus your own table.

We found Buff's on the way out to hike. We stopped in originally for breakfast and realized their breakfast menu only consisted of a few items - taped on the wall at the order counter. Yelp typically doesn't disappoint so we opted to stay and order breakfast. My guy's breakfast burrito was huge - and flavorful. We didn't realize how large the portions were and so couldn't finish the biscuits and gravy we ordered to share. Dang, as they were SO good - white gravy, on point seasoning and crumbled sausage. Yum. My Avocado Scramble plate was also really tasty. We were intially bummed that their online breakfast menu wasn't available, but 3 out of the 4 or so choices they did offer were all fabulous. Staff were helpful and friendly as well. This place is massive, with indoor and outdoor seating areas. And they have a bar, so we made a note and stopped back by on our way home from the hike. Cheap drinks, strong poors and local beer. Score! Buff's is really close to Palo Duro Canyon, and you can bet we will stop back in for lunch / dinner and drinks when we travel back through!

Yummy burger joint with nice patio seating. We stopped here on our way to Palo Duro Canyon for lunch. Plenty of street parking for our 21' Winnebago. :) The fried pies sounded yummy but we were too full after the burgers. Nice service from polite college student studying psychology. Didn't catch her name. Fun outdoor sandbox for those with tots

Not good at all. Been here 4 times and I simply don't like the school cafeteria taste.

It was just ok. Typical college town fare, fried and greasy. Limited parking so if you're close it's better to walk.

I hit the one in the Summit shopping center, and on my way out of Amarillo back to Austin, I stopped at their original location in Canyon. What a cozy spot that it was. Summit and Wolflin feel so established with their black walls, tables, and decor while the Palace in Canyon has this timeless feeling. Inside, the walls have a floral wallpaper, the lighting feels classic, and the ceiling looks like it's been there for decades. I ordered a hot Bluebonnet at the suggestion of my girlfriend and took home a whole-bean bag of their Monarch blend to try at my home in Austin. There was a decent buzzing crowd in the main space with plenty of seating in the back room. There was a group of older gentlemen next to us enjoying their coffees together. What a life. The baristas here during the morning we went were all so friendly and conversational which seems to be the norm at all Palace locations. There's just a level of sweetness in the atmosphere I get at Palace that I don't feel like I get at most shops. Their merchandise is excellent (not valuable to the review, just thought I'd share) and it seems like they truly care about the entire coffee experience instead of hastily throwing out drinks. Palace really stands out as a top tier coffee shop in Texas. Every community needs a place like Palace, and Canyon y Amarillo definitely benefits from them. The first time I came I…read morewas in the mood for something savory and they only had the sweets on the menu because it was opening day and they were trying to keep things simple. So I went back a week later and tried the Kalua Pork plate with nachos. It was delicious. It's been so long since I've had the opportunity to eat Hawaiian food! I've eaten it in San Diego, Arizona and Austin but there never was any in Amarillo until now. I came back today and just had to try the musubi. I'm not even that crazy about spam but it was so good! Rice and spam and seasonings inside nori. Yum! I made sure that I got here before 10:30 so I could try the breakfast but I was so full from one musubi I was only able to eat about half the breakfast. I'll save the rest till tomorrow. Breakfast is $5.75 for a full container of rice, scrambled eggs, Kahlua pork, optional green onions and sauce. That will be my breakfast tomorrow unless I get hungry and eat it tonight. The musubi was so good I bought two to take home along with two Kahlua pork sliders and that will be dinner tonight or lunch tomorrow. My total bill was about $20 with tax and tip and should make about three meals for me. The ladies who run this place are a mother and daughter team, as nice as can be! They are super friendly to everyone who walks in and customers are greeted with an Aloha. You'll hear them say Mahalo a lot also. They are very attentive and appreciative to their customers. Everything is neat and super clean. They are located inside the Collective from 6th building along I-40 on the north side. It was only about a 10 minute drive or so for me from 40 and Coulter. Their hours as of this writing are 6:00 a.m. to 6 pm Thursday Friday and Saturday. 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday when they have a brunch menu and serve breakfast foods all day. One of their specialties is waffles. I don't eat waffles real often so I haven't tried them yet but I will eventually. They have a different flavor every day. They also have different specials everyday. I'm including a picture of the specials board but not all foods are available everyday. They have a Facebook page that I think will list what the specials are for each day or you could call them. I heard people raving about the waffles both times I was sitting and eating. If the parking lot should look full you can pull around to the right side of the building as you approach it and there's the door on that side that leads directly into their place. I parked there today and it was a much shorter walk but I got here early so the parking lot might fill up later. I highly recommend this place! Quality food, quality atmosphere, great service and very clean. A perfect combination.

The moon's over my spammy, if I remember the name correctly, is super bomb! It's a fried Spam Egg & Cheese Sandwich with Hawaiian donut bread...sounds wild but it was out of this world. Definitely different but I did not regret trying it. I know spam isn't everyone's favorite (my wife usually avoids it), but we both now swear by this sandwich. It's a must-try!!! We also had the steak fingers, katsu style, with rice and Mac salad, made with the all-natural Rancher's meat from the storefront. You can taste the quality in every bite. To top it all off, Auntie surprised us with refreshing orange and mango shaved ice... the perfect treat on a hot day. We sat in the shade with our pup, soaking in the beautiful Canyon weather, enjoying some great conversation from Auntie Lisa (who is an amazing person), learning a little about the "Big Island", and of course savoring some of that incredible authentic Hawaiian food. Auntie Lisa's isn't just a meal... it's an experience. We'll definitely be back every time we are anywhere near Canyon, TX!

We always order fish Tacos or fish and chips. Tonight we had a table of 6 of us. Friends that live right behind the Restaurant as well. My wife and I ordered fish and chips like always but Tonight we were served something that looked like Gordens fish sticks out of a box. I'm not kidding there was 1/4 of the fish and same price 14.99. The fish was bland and you could tell it had been frozen for some time that the flavor was washed out. When we asked the waitress who was bartending, waitressing, at the same time. She said I have no idea what is going on. Almost like she knew the fish dinner had problems. My wife likes the fish Tacos but the last two times we were there they are out of cabbage which is a big reason why the tacos taste the way they do. That said it's been two strikes at the corner grill for both us families and the next time we visit will be the last if they don't start Managing this place better. The owners used to wait on the tables when it first opened and after getting busy they stated just hanging out in the bar all day while everyone worked. Now you don't even see that. I'm thinking they don't understand that as fast as this place got busy it can loose customers even faster!
