A very sweet woman from the big island owns this place and she's passionate about sharing authentic Hawaiian flavors in Texas! She has daily specials and also a lot of other Hawaiian brands (sodas, taffy, etc.). We really enjoyed the burger and pulled pork, and how kind and generous the owner and her mother were. Definitely check this place out!

I hit the one in the Summit shopping center, and on my way out of Amarillo back to Austin, I stopped at their original location in Canyon. What a cozy spot that it was. Summit and Wolflin feel so established with their black walls, tables, and decor while the Palace in Canyon has this timeless feeling. Inside, the walls have a floral wallpaper, the lighting feels classic, and the ceiling looks like it's been there for decades. I ordered a hot Bluebonnet at the suggestion of my girlfriend and took home a whole-bean bag of their Monarch blend to try at my home in Austin. There was a decent buzzing crowd in the main space with plenty of seating in the back room. There was a group of older gentlemen next to us enjoying their coffees together. What a life. The baristas here during the morning we went were all so friendly and conversational which seems to be the norm at all Palace locations. There's just a level of sweetness in the atmosphere I get at Palace that I don't feel like I get at most shops. Their merchandise is excellent (not valuable to the review, just thought I'd share) and it seems like they truly care about the entire coffee experience instead of hastily throwing out drinks. Palace really stands out as a top tier coffee shop in Texas. Every community needs a place like Palace, and Canyon y Amarillo definitely benefits from them. We always order fish Tacos or fish and chips. Tonight we had a table of 6 of us. Friends that live right behind the Restaurant as well. My wife and I ordered fish and chips like always but Tonight we were served something that looked like Gordens fish sticks out of a box. I'm not kidding there was 1/4 of the fish and same price 14.99. The fish was bland and you could tell it had been frozen for some time that the flavor was washed out. When we asked the waitress who was bartending, waitressing, at the same time. She said I have no idea what is going on. Almost like she knew the fish dinner had problems. My wife likes the fish Tacos but the last two times we were there they are out of cabbage which is a big reason why the tacos taste the way they do. That said it's been two strikes at the corner grill for both us families and the next time we visit will be the last if they don't start Managing this place better. The owners used to wait on the tables when it first opened and after getting busy they stated just hanging out in the bar all day while everyone worked. Now you don't even see that. I'm thinking they don't understand that as fast as this place got busy it can loose customers even faster!
