Breakfast was great after we figured how how to go inside. The street side door is really the carryout door. The door to the dining room is back by the patio and the drive thru. The menu is pretty diverse for breakfast and lunch. We tried the kitchen sink omelet and biscuits and gravy and both were great. We thought about going back for the French toast and there were several lunch selections that I would have liked to have tried. We'll be back in Canyon TX and will go there again. read more

I got the buff special I think it was called but it was amazing comes with two patties Texas bread chillis onions and fries or onion rings. Definitely would recommend and would return if I could. The food was really good, the service is ok. It's billed as self serve, which is fine, but they didn't bring out the whole order. The layout of the place is a little odd too, I felt like we were coming in through the back door. Back to the food - the omelet was huge, we should have just shared that! Got there 8:10. Girl says we are closed. We say that online it says open until 9. She says Google hasn't updated we close at 8. We say the door says it right here you close at 9 also. She says we are under construction and we are closed. Clearly not true. Clearly didn't want our business. They were slow and looking to close early. Good way to go out of business. Husband and I are here visiting family, who brag about this place so much, so we decided we will try it while going to the farmers market. Sister said they call in their orders since the dinning room is closed. So she calls and they pick up and say we are not taking orders until 9...it was 8:45. She thought okay they changed their hours. We pull into canyon 8:47 see cars in the drive thru picking up their order so we where like what the heck they said not until 9. So we called back again spoke to the same lady she said the same thing. So my sister asked her okay well I'm confused because we see people in the drive thru getting their order and she stated "yes we open at 8 but we are not taking anymore orders at the time so we can catch up on theses ones"......I'm sorry that is beyond ridiculous what a way to lose customers and my sister even said we will never come back here just for this. We understand them being busy but they could have said okay it's going to be like a 20 min wait for pick up or something in those lines not flat out not taking our order. Hopefully they can get this situation fixed because we can't be the only ones upset about this.... read more

Breakfast was great. It was great atmosphere. The person who took our was kind, courteous, and down friendly. She was totally awesome and juggling all kinds of things; she manage to find us and serve us coffee and our food. My husband had one of giant burritos. It truly was big. He loved the chorizo. I went to Buff's for the first time the other day and it was really good. I had the En Ferno Burger with onion rings. It wasn't too hot but spicy enough that it was quite enjoyable. Dropped into Palo Duro Canyon last night on our way to Dallas. Yelped this place and decided to drop in for some breakfast the next morning. If you enter Buff's off of I-27 you will think this is just a to-go joint, don't worry- seating is in the back! The staff greeted us immediately with good ole Texas hospitality! The food was wonderful! Fresh baked bread for their french toast and the homemade strawberry syrup is to die for. Their bacon is thick cut and perfect. And don't miss their big breakfast burritos with fresh green chili stew! This place had been open three months at the time of this review but you wouldn't know that judging by the fast and excellent service. Eat here! read more

The food at Buff's is absolutely amazing! On each of my visits the food was perfect and the staff was friendly, patient, and helpful. What makes this place stand out is that all of their food is cooked to order and it tastes completely homemade! Their steak fingers are the real deal with actual tenderized steak and not minced meat. Their fries are some of the best fries I've had because they had a great flavor, were seasoned well, and they were fried perfectly. Their bacon cheeseburger was great with lots of thick bacon and their breakfast burritos were to die for. Even the included salsa for the burrito was homemade! Since Buff's is a fast casual, self service, made to order restaurant it would be wise to call in your order ahead of time or you can patiently dine in in their cozy space.
