Let's talk about my experience using Chelsea Pet Control for bedbugs. Let me just say, Yelp helped me find this pest control company after deserpately searching for someone to take me right away. After several different chats, Chelsea Pet control accommodated me right away and saw me briefly after. We had an exterminator come over and spray the first two times, but the issue still did not seem to go away. Although he was extremely friendly and we loved his personality and kindness, we knew we needed a more advanced technician. We were not satisfied yet, there was definitely a lot of questions left unanswered. I messaged Chelsea Pest Control to request another technician to have another look themselves and see if someone else can figure it out, and then they sent over Sammy. In a matter of MINUTES, Sammy was able to detect the problem and what was causing this infestation! He was confident and diligent, not afraid to get his hands dirty. You can tell he works hard and is extremely determined to finding a solution NO MATTER WHAT IT TAKES. He took the extra time to spray our apartment extra, give us a clear explanation on how to stop it, and answered all my questions and concerns confidently and patiently. These guys completely wiped out a German roach infestation in our kitchen with just two visits a couple of weeks apart. It's been about 8 months and we haven't seen one since. And this was in a fairly large Brooklyn apartment, no mean feet. I'd been told that German roaches are pretty much impossible to eradicate, and they were already at the stage where they were reproducing. Really an incredible relief and a surprise. *****-- Ants? Gone. Bees? Still Buzzing! Let me tell y'all about my adventure with this pest control service. So, we recently bought a house (yay, us!), and while giving our deck some much-needed TLC, we found a surprise guest--or should I say, a few guests. We pulled up some old, worn-out boards, and BAM--giant ants, as in, "Are these things on steroids?" size. I'm talking huge. Naturally, we hit pause on the DIY and called in the pros because, listen, carpenter ants are NOT a game. I reached out to this company, and even though we were a bit out of their usual service area, they made it happen! Talk about customer service. They were out here the very next day, geared up, ready to go. The serviceman took a look around and said he didn't see any carpenter ants (praise hands!), but he treated the area anyway, just to be safe. And let me tell you, since that treatment, I haven't seen a single ant--big, small, or in-between. It's like they vanished into thin air! But here's the cherry on top: my beloved bees are still out there doing their thing! I was so worried we'd scare them off, but nope--they're buzzing around like nothing happened. Were the first to respond on a Saturday when I turned my gf's disastrous fly sitch into a Yelp project. Their name made it sound like they were based in Chelsea, Manhattan, but they're not, which is cool. Sammy came that day and was sensitive to our pets, and even if he wasn't Stan, the owner, who probably would've been more through the first go-around, he spotted the source of our nasty problem pretty immediately and was very sensitive about our pets. When the fly issue reemerged in the living room, which Sammy avoided spraying because it was our kitchen that was the main problem and we thought it'd be good for the pets, I texted Stan here a few nights later. Sammy returned the next day with someone else, sprayed the room and resprayed all the others he had done only a few days before. Friendly, caring men. I had a couple of squirrels get into the soffit of my house. The guys from Chelsea Pest Control came out in the rain and installed a one way door. They did this in the rain, and they were very neat and professional. They will be returning soon to remove the one way door and seal up the soffit. Last year we had work done in our house and not sure if it was the traffic of people or equipment or food containers brought in but a roach problem followed. I lived in the city most of my adult life and now that I am in a house I was totally freaked at seeing roaches - knowing they are hard to get rid of. I called a "city professional" and Stan did a great job -- even showed up in a uniform! And he returned for a followup, when I saw one roach a week or so later, at no cost. This year I had the same issue -- I think it was pizza boxes that brought them -- and we just had an employees, Sammy, here to spray. Chelsea Pest Control helped my family take care of a hidden wasp infestation. They were able to come at the end of the day and got the nest cleared away in an hour. They were extremely patient, kind, and had enough knowledge to explain why they did what they did. Turns out there was a wasp nest in a microwave vent that led to outside. They sealed it up from the outside and inside and we have not seen any wasps since. I cannot stress enough that they were able to send folks out at the end of the day at 6pm and by 7:30, we were good to go! You definitely get what you pay for with these folks, and although the price tag is a bit pricey, it is DEFINITELY worth it! He was very thorough and identified the problem areas immediately. It was very clear that he was a professional (unlike the last two people my building management has sent). I was very thankful that after posting my project that Stan and Chelsea Pest Control reached out. Stan was responsive via messages and was prepared to assist me at my residence with a sudden yellow jacket issue. Taras, the technician, arrived the day after I reached out, on time, and promptly evaluated and estimated the issue, explained it to me clearly, and once the estimate was approved was working within the hour. We had a yellow jacket issue near the front bay window near our front door and definitely appreciated Taras coming out quickly to treat (both liquid and powder, both pet-friendly, we have dogs) and then seal any cracks or openings. Sadly, after 3 days, the problem was not resolved and actually escalated as the yellow jackets began coming in the house. There were an INSANE amount. After messaging Stan over the weekend, we agreed to wait until Monday, at which time I called promptly at 8AM, spoke to Mia (who was very kind and understanding), and I luckily was able to have Taras come back again that same day to retreat in and out of the house. I was booked for first thing Tuesday, but Stan kindly called, heard me out (we have a family member who is allergic) and he was able to accommodate me immediately. I'm so thankful. After posting my need for a wasp nest removal service, several pest control companies replied back. Unfortunately, many had said the nest was too high up in the tree, they were not insured, or didn't have availability until a week later. Luckily, Stan from Chelsea Pest Control reached out and was available sooner, was insured, and had a ladder high enough to get the job done. The price was very reasonable as well, considering the location height (over 20ft) and the size of the nest. Sammy and Shadee arrived to complete the job and they couldn't have been nicer. They were punctual and very politely patient as they had to wait to begin the job since my neighbor had a refrigerator being removed and delivered to her home at the same time. Obviously with a wasp removal, the area would need to be free of activity. They spent the time analyzing the situation and their approach, as well as answering all my questions. Both were extremely knowledgeable and clearly had the experience. Once they were safely able to get started, they worked very diligently and were done in about 30 min. Sammy was kind enough to spray down my garden to protect my flowers from any effects of the pesticides while Shaddy cleaned up the remains of the fallen nest and brush that came down with it.
