I decided I wanted to take a break from riding our motorcycles (road trip from San Diego & Page is a place we're staying in, along our route). Looked up TAXIS NEAR ME- and Buggy Taxi is what popped up. Tim answered our call & he inquired where we are headed. Since we booked a boat tour launching from Lake Powell Resort, he mentioned the $27 fare cost, very reasonable & the $30 National Park Fee (for the car load) to enter the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. The $30 fee is good for 7 days to utilize Glen Canyon area and can also be applied to the $80 annual National Park Pass! Tim said he'd meet us at our hotel in 5 minutes, and he was there in a snap! He was great with conversation and had us laughing! We even called Tim up after we had lunch at Driftwood Lounge in Lake Powell Resort. If you do call & need their services, be mindful of your time schedule. You could be waiting and you might not have to wait, so plan accordingly. read more

I was visiting page for a night and of course uber is not really a thing there. So I was looking at taxi options. I first called lake Powell taxi but they were charging me $40 each way to go to the marina kayak drop off area. I called buggy taxi and they charged $27 each way plus $9 for an extra stop to pick up my suitcase. I wish I remembered my drivers name but he was really friendly VERY punctual. He literally picked me up within 5 mins of calling on the way there and then I only had to wait like 15 minutes for the return trip because I was in a remote area. I don't know why there are so many bad reviews but my experience couldn't have been better with this company. The price, customer service and punctuality were top notch. read more

I was concerned after reading the reviews but we had a good experience with Buggy Taxi. We used the taxi service to and from our hotel to the tour office. Tim was the first driver and he gave us the option of going on the highway or through town. We opted for the scenic route and Tim gave us background on the area. Byron picked us up from the tour office. He had three other rides so he told us it would be a wait. It was a longer wait but we had limited options for rides. After dropping us off at a restaurant our son realized he left his sunglasses at the tour office. Byron really went out of his way to go back to the tour office to get our son's sunglasses. read more

It is absolutely wild to me that there are truly no other options for ride sharing in Page, AZ besides this taxi company that only has one driver out at a time. It's not their fault they don't have competitors (at least I don't think it is, ha!) but they price gouge appropriately and leave you hanging indefinitely. Our trio ended up waiting almost 2hrs in a gas station for the driver to show up. During that time the phone was shut off so we didn't know if he was coming or not (despite our previous confirmation of pick up). He eventually called us back and said he had turned the phone off because it "wouldn't stop ringing." We were so close to catching a ride from a local when we got the call and were kind of sad we didn't due to the rate. $90 for two trips. read more

My boyfriend caught a ride with this company on 3/2. He accidentally left his brand new pair of shoes in the vehicle. When we called to get them back, they denied they had the shoes and then proceeded to block our number. I work for a local hotel and recommend this company to tourists but I no longer will, as I realized their employees aren't trustworthy nor do I think they care. Came to Page, AZ for a week long houseboat trip with family on Lake Powell (Glen Canyon dam in town the reason for its existence). Wanting a casual trip, had a night in the local hotel (a ok Best Western) both at the front and back end. I like to support the locals over Uber or Lyft so as a friend called a taxi on arriving I picked up a business card of this company. Still, not knowing how they were I decided to schedule well in advance at my hotel at my check out time. Today, at scheduled noon check out (Bugsy was already there), Tim, my driver - company owner take note of your best employees - was standing by and we loaded up. Unlike Uber/Lyft I forgot that I could not pay and needed cash (they take Paypal but my motile died in the Lake) so Tim even helped wheel in the luggage and get me a chance to stop by the ATM. I was happy to tip Tim and give him my profound thanks for a job well done and even with a generous tip, the cost of the whole trip and assistance was dirt cheap. When booking with Buggy Taxi, please do not ride with Tim Daniels. Driver was very rude. When booking with Tim, was told there would be a 15 min wait. When driver arrived (less than 15 mins), the driver had a poor choice in words saying driver was in a hurry. Driver also had stated to have customers "ready to go" and "outside waiting". Russell was awesome! He was helpful and knew exactly how much time it would take for us to walk to see Horseshoe Bend and then make it back to the parking lot. He gave us a ride, inspite of the fact that we called for a ride same day. We didn't plan very far in advance, but he was still kind enough to pick us up. There are no Ubers or Lyfts in Page, right now. We were so grateful there was a him!! As long as you ask upfront, you will know the price of the ride. As the only taxi service he is busy, please keep in mind he is only one man! Yet, he is personable, kind, professional, and a great resource! Let me tell you about my experience... Called for a ride from my hotel to dinner with my gf, upon arrival we asked if he would be able to pick us back up after dinner, he confirmed. After dinner gave him a call and we were told he'd be there in 20 minutes. An hour passes we call back and were told he would been there soon, but would not give an eta. Another 30 minutes pass with no update. Did not answer following calls. Unfortunately this is the only taxi company in Page, AZ so we had no other choice other than to walk back to the hotel from the restaurant. I can't believe that this is the ONLY taxi service in Page. Because they have no competition - they pretty much do whatever they want and still charge you. My family of four was on vacation and had rented kayaks for lower antelope canyon/Lake Powell. We called the taxi service to pick us up at the rental office and drop us off at the public boat ramp in Antelope Canyon. They arrived within the quoted 10 minutes, however, our adult son was made to sit in the hatchback/trunk of the taxi because the Buggy Taxi driver had a passenger riding in the front passenger seat. Luckily, it was a relatively short ride. When we were done kayaking, we called Buggy Taxi only to get a recording stating their hours of operation and couldn't leave a message. I had to call numerous times for someone to answer. The person who answered sounded like I had woken them up from a nap. I was quoted 45 minutes for pick up. After 50 minutes I called back only to get the same "groggy " person answer and say that they would be there in 20 minutes. Finally 35 minutes later, a Buggy Taxi showed up. Giving them only one star because they did actually transport us. Wish I could rate them a zero. read more

I gave it a two because our first ride with the service was mostly fine. The taxi arrived on time. He never seat belted or asked anyone else to seat belt. He got us there in the nick of time. HOWEVER, the tour we were going to asked us to arrive an hour before the tour began. The dispatcher said something like "oh, you don't need to do that" and scheduled pickup 30 minutes before tour time. We arrived at our destination with 5 minutes to spare, which meant the tour company still had to run us through all their prep and safety info and we held everyone else up. Not good. The REALLY bad thing was after the tour. The earlier driver said to call when we got back and give them 20 minutes to respond. I called. The dispatcher said they would pick us up in 20-25 minutes. Sounded good. 20 minutes passed. 25 minutes passed. The tour company office was closing and a storm threatened outside. I called when 30 minutes had gone by and the dispatcher said the taxi was on its way. I called when 45 minutes had gone by and the new dispatcher said, and I quote "I told you it would be 25 minutes." "We are busy!" "This is not all about you!" and "Feel free to find somebody else!" I have never been yelled at by someone whose paycheck relies on my money! I wasn't going to argue. What would be the point? Fortunately, we did find another ride, who arrived ONE HOUR after the taxi service said they would be there! I called the dispatcher again and said we found someone else. No apology. Their phone's recorded message said the calls were recorded for QA purposes. I'm not making this up. If you are associated with this company, do NOT respond to my review until you have heard the recordings. You need to improve your customer service!!!!! read more
