Our tour guide was great and it's a shame I don't remember his name. Don't worry, we tipped him well. All of the guides were friendly and informative. The canyon is beautiful and even with my crappy phone camera I was able to get some decent pics. The canyon really looks like the pics you see on the internet. We only had about a dozen in our group - we went at 1 PM. We were told to go earlier but the size of our group was smaller because we waited and the colors were still pink amazing. There are some pretty steep steps to climb down in the beginning but don't let those deter you. Just go slow - it's worth it! read more

We did the lower antelope. Be there 1/2 hour before your time. Their time is same as Page AZ. They start calling groups 15 minutes prior to departure time. Closed toe shoes required per fact page but I doubt they're checking. I liked the tour guide in front of us. Super knowledgeable and interactive. Ours really couldn't care to be there it seemed. Kinda dismissive when questions asked. Just wanted to get out of the canyon it seemed. It's an hour long for lower antelope tour. Mostly standing around waiting for folks to move. Crowded. Guide said the upper antelope is half the length and only worth it if sun is shining which is why they only tour between 10-1 for that one. They have a gift shop and cafe inside with food. read more

The place itself is absolutely stunning and almost unreal, but unfortunately, the overall experience was very stressful and disappointing. The tour guide rushed us through the entire canyon towards the exit, leaving us barely any time to stop and take photos or actually enjoy the surroundings. It felt like we were constantly being pushed to move faster. Awful! The organisation was also very poor. All the groups basically enter at the same time, so you end up surrounded by people throughout the entire experience. There should be at least a 20-minute gap between each group so that people can properly enjoy the canyon without feeling rushed or overcrowded. Unfortunately, it felt like the priority was maximising the number of visitors and making a profit rather than providing a genuinely enjoyable experience. The location itself is incredible, but because of the way the tour was organised and rushed, the experience was ultimately very disappointing. read more

Fabulous experience with incredible colors made by nature. This Navajo Nation experience is like no other. Nevan, our professional and friendly guide was so knowledgeable about these earthly sculptures and quite the skilled photographer as he took pictures of all the guests individually in various rooms of this magical tour. Cost was $86.00 and up depending on which tour you want to do with a minimal wait to go down into these spectacularly sculptured colored walls. There is a gift shop and cafe you can grab a cold beverage and a bite of food that is worth visiting. *NOTE* You must check in 30 minutes prior to your tour time AND you can only bring a water bottle and a camera/cellphone . Put your keys in your pocket and leave everything else in your car. Wear shoes you can walk through sand to get to site and that you can climb down and up ladders. This is a very busy tour but well worth it. The tour is on Navajo Tribal lands so please respect the land and those that work this tour and even more so when it's hot out. read more

On a recent trip to Arizona, I rememberied visiting this beautiful attraction a few years ago.. They had the upper and lower tours and we chose the lower. I've heard they're both beautiful. There were alot of people touring and they separated us into small groups. Our guide was informative and entertaining. We walked around curves and it felt like being in a cave. The tour lasts about an hour and there are steps and some uneven terrain in the lower canyon so dress appropriately. It truly is the most beautiful experience - lots of photo opportunities. We visited in mid-November and booked our 2pm tour directly through their website. The weather was nice--just a bit cloudy. We arrived about an hour early to check in, and the process was fast and easy. They do require the ID and credit card used for the booking at check-in, so make sure to have those ready. Our guide, Ala, was amazing! Super sweet, knowledgeable, and an excellent photographer. She helped us capture so many great photos and made the whole experience fun. We chose the regular tour (about $70 per person) and had around 15 people in our group. Our 8-year-old had no trouble walking through the canyon, although the first set of steps going down were a little steep and intimidating. We wore hiking boots, but most people seemed fine in regular sneakers. They only allowed phones, cameras, and a bottle of water--no bags of any kind, and no video recording. Nice convenient spot to do a tour of lower antelope canyon. I would suggest getting there early and bringing someone else to help take photos. I went by myself but there were lots of cool shots and areas that I wish I could've spent more time in. There was a tour group following closely behind. No video allow, only pictures. I would also bring a cooling pack or fan because my phone got very hot down there while taking the photos. I hadn't seen that message before. Very cool overall. read more

Deluxe Tour. We were the only ones in our group (2 people). Includes parking right in the front of their parking lot, your very own waiting room with cold water and couches and where you can read up on the Navajo culture, herbal remedies, and clan structure. I'm not sharing any pictures of the canyon because you need to experience this for yourself. Our guide played his traditional flute for us and showed us traditional huts and explained rituals and beliefs. Then we got a Navajo meal. The tea was really delicious. The lower canyon is stunning! But we all know it's the guide who either makes or breaks your trip right? Well, I'm here to tell you Jonas is the man! My group of 5 walked up to our guide Jonas and when we said good morning, he dead pan looked at us as if he didn't want to talk to anyone so early in the morning. It was 11:00 am!!!! He told us the rules and we started on our way. I will warn you now, I am not going to do justice trying to describe how much fun we had. Jonas was hilarious. It started with that dry engineer vibe and ended with straight up had us rolling. He did a fabulous job offering to take photos of our groups with our phones. WHY, just WHYYYYY were his photos so much better than mine? It's MY camera!!!!! He showed us his magical camera settings after a bit of begging. He offered to take photos often throughout the tour. He was super patient, but also kept us all on schedule. When two women fell behind a little bit, he asked if we knew what language they spoke, we didn't. This man just starts rattling off, "let's go please" in different languages until you hear the women respond and catch up. Again, the canyon was beautiful. Our group was small. In the beginning I was worried it would just be group after group all stuck together walking through, but it was not crowded at all once we were inside. I felt like we had all the time in the world. I highly recommend Ken's Tours. And maybe all of the guides were great, but if you're given a choice, don't ask for Jonas unless you have the cash to tip him well because he's hilarious and knowledgeable and apparently a professional photographer on the down low. read more

We booked this tour several months in advance and had to go with the deluxe tour since the general was all sold out. We arrived an hour early like our confirmation stated and then waited around for 50 minutes until we left . Fortunately, it was just 2 of us and our tour guide. We had plenty of time in the canyon and our guide did great taking pictures for us, telling us about life as a Navajo, and some history. Make sure you have plenty of storage on your phone for photos! After the tour, he talked to us outside for about 30 mins about Navajo traditions, it was pretty hot, but informational. They gave us some blue corn ?? açaí bowls at the end- they were ok. The tacos looked much better! Overall, very pricey (our guide says they make good money off us tourists) but well worth seeing. read more

Our guide's name is Shelby and she is - THE BOMB! She is everything a guide needs to be but sadly - rarely are. She is experienced, knowledgeable, super smart, chill, kind, generous, and I don't know how many languages she speaks but I think I heard her talking five different languages. There were 15 people total in the group she led and everyone had the best time. Hers was the last of three canyon runs in two days that I didnand Shelby was so leaps and bounds above everyone else that I wouldn't want to do it again without her. We did both canyons in one day. Ken's tours was a great experience. There were a lot of people so splitting into smaller groups helped. You have to be able bodied to do the tour. My mom had signed us up, but after going through I knew she probably wouldn't have been able to complete it. The canyons are amazing. Our tour guide (I can't remember her name which sucks because I would highly recommend her) was incredible. Our guide shared history, was able to greet everyone in multiple languages, showed us all how to get the best shots with our phones including filter, pano and angles. It's worth the trip. read more

We visited both the upper and lower Antelope Canyon. I became interested by seeing the pictures of the Wave which lead us to the more accessible tours. We did the upper first. You had to take a bumpy sandy ride three miles back and forth. The canyon was beautiful but older and easy to walk through. I loved it so much we went to Ken's Lower tour the next day. Here's where my experience skyrocketed. They placed their center 100 feet from the exit. No dusty truck and the canyon was bigger, more twisty and so beautiful. There were ladders and narrow stairs but so so worth it. Even windows 10 uses of one of their views. When you get out the air conditioned shop with couches and cold drinks was right there. This was important for someone like me in her late 60's I can't recommend Ken's tours to the lower Antelope slot canyon more. The history of monsoons and flash flooding requires a tour guide btw. read more

There's no denying it -- Lower Antelope Canyon is absolutely breathtaking. The natural beauty here is out of this world, and the photo opportunities alone are worth the trip. This place is a must-see if you're anywhere near the area or need to drive all day to get here. That said, the overall experience was mixed, largely due to the customer service. From the front desk to the tour guides, the attitude ranged from indifferent to outright rude. It felt rushed and transactional, and any questions or excitement we had were met with sharp tones. I do understand that this is a ran by natives on native land, and there's a cultural and historical layer that deserves respect -- but a little professionalism and courtesy would go a long way in making visitors feel welcome and valued. Afterall they are being supported very well by the looks of the traffic and difficulty finding a reservation. Go for the canyon -- it's worth it. Just manage expectations when it comes to the people running the show. read more

Tour groups are mandatory to see Antelope Canyon as it's on Native American land, so I highly recommend doing Ken's Tour for Lower Antelope Canyon. They do split you into smaller groups and the pace of moving through the canyon I would say is fair (unless you're trying to pose and take photos at every inch of the canyon). If you plan on getting photos with no one your photos, highly recommend being in front of the tour group so you're not the one dragging the group behind. We got to interact with our tour guide and the tour guide in the group ahead of us and they both are willing to take amazing photos for us. They also give good photography tips and what filters to use to take the best photos. After all, everyone is coming here to post for the gram right? Don't forget to take in your surroundings as it's simply amazing to have the privilege to walk through the canyons. read more

Ken's tours offers a great guided experience through the lower canyons. You have to have a guide in order to enter the canyons. The check in process was easy, and you do need to arrive at least 15-30 min early. They break up everyone into small groups to walk through the lower canyons. The walk takes about an hour. You should wear closed-toe shoes. And you need to be able to go up and down ladders and fit through some narrow spaces. The sights are amazing. You will get some super cool photos. The guide was also great at pointing out where to get the best photos. You get to learn a bit about the Navajo tribe, and we got to hear someone play the flute in the canyons. We visited Lower Antelope Canyon for a girls' trip and WOW! The views were absolutely spectacular! We were running behind the 45-minute before-departure rule but learned upon arrival that we needed to line up 10 minutes before departing. So, we had plenty of time to use the restroom (a port-a-potty, which was not ideal), apply sunscreen, and fill our water bottles before departing on the tour. When I visited in early October, the weather was warm but not too hot, which was great! The short walk to the canyon's entrance was quick and easy. In terms of the tour, I was blown away by the views of the canyon! In terms of the tour guide, I was very underwhelmed. I wanted to learn about the canyon so I asked him many questions, which he answered, but if I hadn't asked questions, I would still be wondering how the canyon formed, what it's made of, etc. Overall, I'm glad I went on the tour so I could see how beautiful lower Antelope Canyon was. However, it feels overpriced based on the tour guide we had. Had we not asked questions, I really wonder what our $90/person would have gone towards. I learned there are other canyon tours popping up so if I were to do another tour, I would choose a different company. read more
