The office rejected my wish to send my existing X-rays and pocket depth records when I called and made an appointment, requiring me to repeat testing that had already been done. The X-ray process took 40 minutes and was very painful which I am not used to in previous annual cleanings, but the hygienist was great and helped normalize that most patients say it's uncomfortable as well. She and the man who greeted me in-person at the front desk are the only reason this is not "0" stars. Dr. Attal showed little interest in my existing documentation or the urgency of my situation, which was very frustrating to me since I was experiencing pain. I was asked to schedule yet another separate appointment just to re-measure pocket depths already on file. Not every patient has the time or financial resources for repeated appointments and duplicate testing, especially when dealing with a painful gum condition requiring prompt treatment. I left feeling dismissed and no closer to the treatment I needed. I will now be driving 7 hours one way to see my previous dentist because Lalor was unwilling to provide the care I need. I would not recommend Dr. Attal to patients who come in with existing records or complex dental needs.

UN-fortunately I have a good amount of bone loss, and even some gum disease- that caused this current infection. SMOKING and COFFEE have had a poor effect on my 61 year old mouth. I was prescribed an antibiotic and advised on some better hygiene methods that would improve my gum health. I was never made to feel dirty or dumb! Though of course I need to stop smoking! I made an appointment for a cleaning-(it was so affordable I was angry I waited!) By the time my cleaning came around, the infection was healed. But the true highlight WAS my cleaning. The technician was professional and really took the effort to explain things and to make sure I was comfortable. She took the extra effort to really clean even my most coffee stained lower front teeth. I was worried the lady's hands would get tired! I recently moved out of the area and just had a terrible experience with one of those "chain" dental groups. I felt homesick for this dental group immediately. I made another appointment and that went well. I called a week later to schedule an appointment for the procedure I wanted done. The evening before the appointment I was told they had to cancel because the office was going to be closed and they would call me to reschedule. I called them because I didn't hear from them only to find out that the office was still closed and once again they were going to call me to reschedule. That never happen. No explanation no call no nothing. I hope everything is ok over there. I will not use them they have seriously inconvenienced me. Dr. Birdsall refused to do the extraction despite extreme pain due to an extraction with 2 roots being too complex, in his words. Left the office in excruciating pain in tears and given a prescription for round 2 of antibiotics. Their next move was to mail a dismissal letter. Pretty humorous for a PPO patient with perfect teeth otherwise paying cash for urgent service. My regular dentist was "flabbergasted" at Dr. Birdsall's refusal to take action, I can only imagine how he would react to the unprofessional conduct for a patient left in pain after the fact.

I thought great its not as bad as he thought! well filling went in and then got infected and had an abscess. I then had to go through an extensive process of having the filling pulled out and a root canal done. I had to be on antibiotic for a while, and unfortunately have yet to be comfortable. I have daily pain in my mouth and am in debt due to all the excess bills because this one "dentist" felt he was better than he actually was and still got all of his money while I am in constant pain.
