I came to Lalor Dental Vestal as a new patient from out of state with an active periodontal…read morecondition that had already been fully diagnosed by my previous dentist (moved), including current X-rays, pocket depth measurements, and a DNA bacterial test. The office rejected my wish to send my existing X-rays and pocket depth records when I called and made an appointment, requiring me to repeat testing that had already been done. The X-ray process took 40 minutes and was very painful which I am not used to in previous annual cleanings, but the hygienist was great and helped normalize that most patients say it's uncomfortable as well. She and the man who greeted me in-person at the front desk are the only reason this is not "0" stars. Dr. Attal showed little interest in my existing documentation or the urgency of my situation, which was very frustrating to me since I was experiencing pain. I was asked to schedule yet another separate appointment just to re-measure pocket depths already on file. Not every patient has the time or financial resources for repeated appointments and duplicate testing, especially when dealing with a painful gum condition requiring prompt treatment. I left feeling dismissed and no closer to the treatment I needed. I will now be driving 7 hours one way to see my previous dentist because Lalor was unwilling to provide the care I need. I would not recommend Dr. Attal to patients who come in with existing records or complex dental needs.

Customer service here is impeccable. They are responsive and truly care. I will recommend them to everyone I know.

I had a chipped tooth that had a sharp edge. Dr Riley filed down the tooth and recommended a crown…read moreto prevent further degradation of the tooth. At the next appointment she placed a temporary crown on the tooth which worked great...no sensitivity, and protected the tooth for the permanent crown. The last appointment was brief and the permanent crown was placed quickly. No issues whatsoever! My thanks to Dr Riley and her Dental Assistant Kathy...a great team!

With no dental coverage I was afraid my toothache would cost me a fortune that I didn't have. I had…read morealready decided to just extract the tooth if repair cost too much- rather than have it properly fixed. I saw Dr. Olbrys on short notice, and luckily the tooth was fine. UN-fortunately I have a good amount of bone loss, and even some gum disease- that caused this current infection. SMOKING and COFFEE have had a poor effect on my 61 year old mouth. I was prescribed an antibiotic and advised on some better hygiene methods that would improve my gum health. I was never made to feel dirty or dumb! Though of course I need to stop smoking! I made an appointment for a cleaning-(it was so affordable I was angry I waited!) By the time my cleaning came around, the infection was healed. But the true highlight WAS my cleaning. The technician was professional and really took the effort to explain things and to make sure I was comfortable. She took the extra effort to really clean even my most coffee stained lower front teeth. I was worried the lady's hands would get tired! The ladies at the front desk were pleasant and professional, and the care was very good. I'm SO glad I picked Summit!

Clean appearance, but problems with actual business. Multiple appointments were scheduled for…read morespecific treatments, we show up to the appointments and they didn't slot time for services so we had to pay for more appointments to complete what should've been done in one visit. Zero accountability. They love charging for additional services and exams even when it's their fault. Makes no sense but it's happened a few times. Our PPO is in network and we still received bills of $60-80 per appt for fully covered services because they don't follow their contracted rates schedule? We were incorrectly told our insurance didn't cover routine X-rays and after investigating, a note was put on the account not to do covered X-rays...so they lied directly to parents and neglected covered routine preventative care for a child. When addressed, we were told it's not their job to know insurance coverage. Then why are you telling us what is/is not covered to begin with? When asked within the same hour as the appt to do the covered xray they said wasn't covered but is in fact covered, they said we need to make another appt and pay another exam fee. To get an appointment outside of school hours, you'll have to neglect your child's health and only take them once a year for cleanings because it takes 11 months to get an appointment outside of school hours. They take state aid and this level of service may be acceptable at zero cost of share, but it's not worth the frustration for those who pay their own bills.
