I love this little local farm. We go every year to pick strawberries, blueberries and raspberries. It is certainly no frills, but charming. The hours are 9-1 when in season. Some days they are closed for maintenance, which they will notify you of on Facebook. You drive in the gate and park on the dirt path along the berry bushes. There is a small table set up under a canopy. The farm takes payment before or after picking. They accept cash, check, or Venmo. Today, a quart of blueberries cost $8/quart and $5.50/pint. I found their prices to be high and their customer service to be poor. This is the second bad experience I have had there.

we purchased almost $50 worth of flowers today, and the flowers were manhandled and were being wrapped in wet paper up near the face of the flowers. So the person working just had no idea how to handle flowers at all. although he was very nice. I asked if I could have a plastic bag, so I could put some water in the bottom and then just put the whole thing in a paper bag. I was given a cut off milk carton, which made me happy enough because I could get the flowers home without them dying since we live about 30 minutes away. Meanwhile, they were already wilting because it was so so hot outside. They never would've made it home otherwise. then a third employee walked in and told me I had to give back the cut off milk container. I said I was already given permission to take it. And she said they didn't have the authority. I'm not kidding you the authority to give a cut off old milk carton. Meanwhile, she had no more authority than they did. It was the worst customer service! The judgment used by the first two employees was common sense. It was so blazing hot outside, and the flowers were wilting as we were standing there. One that had not been down in the water while we were picking was already completely wilted over exhausted from the heat. The third employee was ridiculous. We were all really excited about going today, and she really put such a damper on the whole experience. read more

We went late in the season however my son and I had a great time picking strawberries early morning as their hours are better than other orchards as well. I guess I'm the first one to write a review for them but this place is definitely worth trying out. We will be returning for blueberry picking season in a couple of weeks. The only thing I'd change would be to have the walking area a bit clearer. Overall we were happy with our venture. read more

The you pick was great BUT we bought a bag of peaches from the farmers market and when I got home I saw this sticker on one of them. Clearly they bought the peaches from a grocery store and then charged $8.50 for 7 peaches. Total scam. read more

Have made only one visit and won't go again. Why? Fruit and veggies were no better than any farm stand and higher in price than many. They charge you a fee when you use a card. I believe it is 4%. I can't be certain because this fee is not separate from the food charge on the customer receipt. The customer gets no hard copy of the charge. You are told about it at checkout. Is the merchant fee charged by credit card companies for the customers' use of cards 4%? I bought a considerable amount of produce which they crammed into one bag. When that bag ripped as they packed it they did not offer a new bag or to divide it between two bags. There was no rush at the register, in fact, there was no other customer at the register. One employee (out of three) was truly helpful so there was that bright spot. I'm sure that, as Buhrmaster notes on its website, the owners work very hard to bring local produce to buyers. Buhrmaster Farms exceeded expectations! Today they had figs, multiple varieties of grapes, plums, blueberries, and peaches. Hanging flower baskets and bouquets and raspberries and strawberries. Plus prepared pies, maple syrup, honey, lots of fudge, carrot cake and brownies. I bought two Turkish eggplants which look more like unripe tomatoes than an eggplant! Plus much, much more. So happy to stopped by here on a whim and walk away feel like I hit the jackpot. What a special little gem in the Glenville/Scotia area. read more

I bought firewood from here, expensive ($140 for a face cord),. I was assured it was seasoned an ready to burn. I did get a full face cord, but it was freshly cut, wet, and useless in the fireplace this season. DO NOT buy firewood from these people expecting to use it right away. read more
