I really enjoy the store, it has elegant holiday decor, skin care, and the obvious, plants and a floral section. I have been to this store several times already and have always had a positive experience, but if this was my first time, I'm not sure I would be going back due to the unfriendly staff member. I visited the store on 11/ 26/25 around 10:30 am, I asked the staff member a question, and she responded in an annoyed, condescending manner. She was putting together flower arrangements, so I shrugged it off, although it was not the most welcoming exchange. I then picked out a few items and went to the register. She continued to work on the arrangements, then put one in the fridge near the register, then another. I was patient, but when she walked past again and didn't acknowledge my presence and went back to the floral counter, I asked, "Do I check out here." She came over claiming she didn't see me and checked me out. The entire interaction with her was not pleasant, I'm hoping she was just having a bad day. Although this visit was not pleasant, my other visits to the shop were, so I would not judge this place based on one bad experience, although this time for me was a 3, it's typically a 5. read more

I can't remember the last time I've written a Yelp review, let alone a bad one. Typically I love my experience and the service at the Plant Hatch, but I am dumbfounded by the customer service (or lack there of) I just received, which turns out to be the owner, Jeff. Jeff began to ring up my items (roughly $50 worth) and a sweet girl behind the counter helped wrap/bag. I did have a coupon as I am rewards member and in addition was attempting to use a visa gift card along with cash. Jeff could not figure out how to manually enter the gift card (although he barely even seemed to try). I reiterated to Jeff that I had just used the gift card at his location at my last visit and the girl who rung me out had no issues. Jeff was quick to decline even when his co-worker next to him offered to go ask someone for help, he said no. I couldn't believe it, I easily could have paid in all cash but the principle of his actions made me want to not buy anything. I politely said I won't make the purchase than and asked if my $5 coupon he already scanned would be put back towards my account. Jeff's reply was a sheepish "I'd have to look into that" and proceeded to call the next customer forward. I was speechless on how poor the whole transaction played out.
