First time at Build a Bear! It's located close to the Macy's side of the mall. I saw on tik tok that if your child is turning 1, they can get a happy birthday bear for the price of their age! (They do not ask for a birth certificate or ID Info to verify the age.) My husband and I took our little one to check it out. We weren't greeted as the employees were busy but we figured how the process works. Basically, you pick the happy birthday deflated bear from the designated bins near the cash register side. Once you pick your bear, you will then go to the kiosk station to register and it will the print out a bear birth certificate that you will pick up when you pay for the bear. After we registered, we then had to wait for the bear to be inflated with air and be made. At this location there are only 2 air stations and when we were waiting in line, only 1 employee was inflating the bear. When the line was getting too long, another employee stepped in to open the other station. Since we just wanted to inflate the bear and do no add ons, it was fast. Once we were done, we then proceeded to the register and paid a $1.08 for the bear! My daughter absolutely loved it. It's worth the experience and worth checking out! I would recommend going at opening time if you want less of a waiting time.

Came here for both of my kids since there birthdays were 2 weeks apart. They had a great time building a bear and finding what they want. We saw a Mario and Luigi costume from the bear at the window and my son wanted the Mario but we couldn't find it in stores. I asked one of the workers and she took it off from the bear at the window and gave it to my son which made him extremely happy! Overall a great first time experience (that they'll actually remember)

Such a great deal since one outfit was $16; get a second one for only $4 more.

This store was very neat and organized. There are so much selection, that if my kids had their way, we would he there all day. The bears / stuffed animals can add up quickly. Be sure to check out their clearance wall. Depending on the time you go, they run sales that are pretty good. We took advantage of their buy two Disney Princess outfits for $20; one outfit is regularly $16. The staff were very nice. I was in the middle of taking pictures and she was about to walk out from the back of the store. I motioned for her to walk through and I could wait but she insisted she would wait and walked around. Also the lady the rang us up was very engaging with my daughter and was telling her tidbits about her purchase.

Very welcoming! Came in to build a Pokémon friend, and the co worker in build -a-bear was very helpful. I felt very welcomed and the customer service was great! Totally coming back here again soon!

If my 8 year old could write a Yelp review she would give Build-A-Bear 5 million stars with lots of smiley faces. And truly, that's all that matters. If you are going here with a kid they will be in heaven. Everything about Build-A-Bear is geared towards the kids making the bears. The employees know how to talk to the kids and really make them feel special. That's cool. The process is made to seam magical, the kids make a wish and give their bear a hear... goodness! And the bears have birth certificates and clothes... It's just too much cute. As a mom, I find this store mildly irritating. It's crowded and the whole process is a little slow, and I hate that they try to up-sell to little kids. But whatever, my opinion doesn't matter so much on this one.

This place is super cute. We were a little confused about how it all worked at first but then someone came over and helped up put our new friend together. First we picked a bear, they asked if we wanted a sound or a scent, we passed on both. They then filled him up The cutest part was placing the heart inside of the bear. It was so sweet, watching my son create his new bear. He was super excited and he loves that he was able to fluff him, dress him, and name him. His name is Fluffy! The prices were somewhat reasonable. We spent about $50 on a bear, shirt, jeans, sneakers, hat, brush and bag. I didn't think it was too bad since we got all the accessories. They also have us a $10 gift card for next time and a $10 off coupon. Pretty sweet deal. We look forward to going back for some more accessories for Fluffy!

We have been to this Build-A-Bear several times. The staff is very friendly, and they cater to the kids that come in to have an animal stuffed. We had to have a "surgery" performed on our bear, and the associate was very nice to my son and walked him through the "procedure". A bit pricey for stuffed animal, but they do last.

It's a red panda... Not a fox, smile.

This is a great place for a kids party or just to take time with your favorite little person. To watch their eyes while making their friend and dressing it! It's great. Iris is great and even knows Sign Language! Nice! She knows a few other languages too. Come on in and have a blast!

Bear got cut out of the pic, but you get the idea

When you have kids (especially little kids) you will at some point find yourself inside a Build-A-Bear. I would suggest the Florida Mall location. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful here and make the kids feel important and excited. My son and daughter have made numerous bears here over the years and each and every time it's a special trip for them. Well, more so my daughter than my son who is 10. Kids love the fact that they can actually help in making their bear. Then there is a station to "wash and clean" your bear and then do dozens of laps around the store looking for the perfect outfit or accessory. Once that is done you get to give your bear a name and your bear gets his very own birth certificate and a cool cage (box) to carry him home in. It's a very cool experience for young kids. I highly recommend it. They even do birthday parties at this location. Oh, and it's not just for kids. Parents can build a bear too!

Everything is where it should be--grouped by theme or franchise--so browsing feels more like exploring a curated pop culture museum than digging through clutter at some grungy and junky comic shop. The selection is fantastic: from comics and statues to posters, small plush, otaku, Pops, action figures, high-end collectibles, and more! Whether you're a gamer, a movie buff, sci-fi fan, or just love cool merch, you'll find something to geek out over for sure. The staff? Genuinely great. Friendly, welcoming, and super knowledgeable without being pushy. You can tell they love what they do, and it will make your experience that much better. You can actually have a real conversation with these guys! I am so tired of visiting stores that hire snotty, vacant, or indifferent employees. You DO NOT have to worry about that here. Oh, and they've got a geek bar inside the back of the store. Seriously. It was a bit too early in the day for me to grab a drink but it looked awesome the way it was decorated, so I'm definitely coming back with my wife some evening (and hopefully soon!). Plus, they're open late--huge win. Also, the location is perfect... right off International Drive and not far from Universal Studios. Whether you're a local or visiting Orlando, this is a must-stop spot. Highly recommended.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, which made the visit even better. While we wish they sold more masks and costume accessories, we were pleasantly surprised by how many cool items they did have. The store is very clean and well-organized. Highlights included the giant Gremlins and Pokémon vending machine, though sadly it was out of order, it was still fun to see! We also noticed a neat speakeasy out back that we definitely want to check out next time. Overall, this is a great spot for any nerd, collector, or cosplayer. We really enjoyed our visit and plan to come back!

When we pulled into the parking lot and saw how small the store was, we were pretty disappointed. However, we had fun browsing the small selection they had. I have to admit selection was limited, though the employee did tell us they could order out of stock items for us (but we aren't local :(). What is truly special about this shop is the friendly community feel. There is artwork for sale (I assume) from local artists with many different skill levels and styles. My boyfriend ended up getting a cute Emilia (re zero) figuarts figurine which was nice quality. It happened to be the day before my friend's and my birthday (we are not twins lol) and once she learned this, the employee did this cute celebration, playing a prerecorded song by the employees (?). It was a little bit cringe but 100% wholesome. They also gave us each a choice of a keychain as a birthday gift! Even after we said we were flying out of Orlando that day. I rarely see such good will these days and it was a wonderful surprise. I would stop by if I'm ever in the area again.
