I took my grandchildren here as it was a childhood favorite for me and it didn't disappoint. They had so much fun. They had so many questions. I didn't like that. I didn't really see staff but it is kind of like a self-taught walkthrough. Overall, the grandkids loved it. They are 8 and 11 so with the age difference it's always hard to please both but this place did not disappoint them. Pricing is perfect for a tourist area so I wasn't really thinking that it was overpriced. It's on I drive so the pricing was perfect. It served both age groups which was a plus for me. The last day of our vacation (May 18). Arrived and was warmly greeted by the cashier. Moved about the facility and it was mostly Ok. Unfortunately - Laser Tag not operating - the primary attraction we came for. Unfortunately, only one of two "Wonder Coaster" Simulators were operating (with only two kids going for each turn). Being annoyed, I timed the pace of the line. It took 3 minutes 40 seconds for the operator to get two kids weighed, strapped in, and the simulator started. Total time from weighing one group to the next was 7 minutes, 34 seconds ... ... again, that's for only two kids. Extrapolate that - only 16 kids get on each hour. Unfortunately, we went back to do the Ropes Course a second time, but it was either closed or not staffed. read more

Me, Michelle, Reese and Joanna did the Magic show and dinner. The magician was Jimmy Rook. He's quite good and did some amazing slight of hand magic and had everyone entertained. It's a family friendly event and me, Michelle, Reese and Joanna really enjoyed the one hour show. You're seated at a community table and included is pizza, salad, beer, wine and sodas all for about $35.00. There is garage parking adjacent at The Pointe entertainment center with restaurants and a movie theater, it's cost about $8 bucks and you pay on-line, they ask for your tag on their app and scan when you exit to open the gate. The check-in process was a 'DISASTER'. When you buy tix to the show, you pay on-line and you can download the hard copy which they ask that your bring. When you enter, there is a line and entrance area but their is NO SIGNAGE that indicates where you go for the magic show versus the wonderworks event. This place Is incredibly disorganized. We purchased our tickets online and showed up with barcode. I think we're in AI world and they have still not figured out how to use barcode system. We were informed to join regular line that enters into business to see other attractions. By the way, we purchased the tickets online for magic show and dinner ( pizza and garden salad). I recently came here for an outing with some friends. I love that laser tag is included with the admission ticket. The blacklight laser tag has a pretty good size play area. I found a couple hiding spots that I could snipe out my friends. The sensory play area with the bubble room is so much fun. I've come here with my kids in the past and now with adults and it seems like you can have fun no matter who you bring here. It's definitely not super high tech but there is something for everyone. Seeing the different mazes and optical illusions in the stairways are pretty cool. If you're in the area I would recommend checking them out. The building is upside down, but the fun's right side up. WonderWorks is that giant upside-down building on International Drive that looks like it crash-landed after EPCOT sneezed too hard. Every tourist drives by and asks, "What the heck is that?" Spoiler: it's part science museum, part arcade, part carnival ride, and part fever dream. History check: WonderWorks opened in Orlando in 1998, with the story that it was once a top-secret lab lifted by a tornado and dropped upside down in the middle of I-Drive. That's right -- Disney gives you immersive Imagineering, WonderWorks gives you a B-movie backstory that sounds like it was written on a cocktail napkin. And honestly? I love it. Inside, it's a mash-up of interactive exhibits: lie on a bed of nails, feel hurricane-force winds, test your reflexes, play in a giant bubble lab, and basically prove once and for all that science museums are way more fun when they're loud, chaotic, and smell faintly of funnel cake. The ropes course and laser tag add to the "yes, we'll wear your kids out" factor, which is basically the holy grail for Orlando parents. Is it high-brow? Nope. Is it fun? Absolutely. It's like Ripley's Believe It or Not had a kid with a science fair and raised it in an arcade. You'll roll your eyes at some of the cheesy theming, but then you'll catch yourself giggling on the upside-down inversion tunnel and think, "Okay, this place has me." I walked in, sighed at the spectacle, then ended up grinning while kids screamed on the ropes course, muttering: "It's ridiculous... but ridiculous is kind of the point." Good option if you are looking to get a break from the theme parks/ weather/ etc. Younger son had a lot of fun. Unfortunately the only parking option is in a paid lot, but fortunately rates are fairly reasonable (max charge of $10). The front of the building looks really cool. Even though we had bought tix online earlier (which I recommend to get a small discount), we had to wait in the line when we arrived, but it wasn't too bad. The ticket does grant you access all day just in case you want to take a break or grab lunch in the area and return. There's a fairly large range of activities, and the wait for each was not bad, even though the place was busy with summer campers. Other guests were good about taking turns rather than hogging machines. My son really loved the ropes course (which was quite cool and challenging); as well as the laser tag. Yearly trip to Wonder Works with the family. It's always a ton of fun. Very eventful for my son and nephews who are 5-7 years old. Each floor and room has a theme and it's very sensory driven and gives your child the ability to truly explore and let their mind wonder. Price is economical and ranges from $25-35. Food ranges from $5-$15. You can pay extra for the scavenger hunt or the comedy zone. Each floor is very spacious and there is zip lining in the 3rd floor as well as an arcade, laser tag and 3D movie theatre. On the second floor, there are two virtual reality rides along with a Photo Booth to take funny image. Highly recommend doing all excursions and getting there early. read more

I really wanted to love WonderWorks, but as an adult experience, this was a major letdown. We visited on a rainy afternoon, and the place was extremely crowded. While that's expected to some extent, it made it nearly impossible to actually enjoy or access most of the exhibits. Many stations had long lines or were constantly occupied, and there was little to no flow or crowd control. For adults (or even families with older teens), this doesn't feel like a good value for the price. A lot of the exhibits felt geared toward younger kids, and the overall experience ended up being more chaotic than engaging. The concept of the upside-down building is fun and creative, but unfortunately the execution--especially during peak times--takes away from the experience. We spent more time waiting and navigating crowds than actually participating. If you're an adult or looking for something more interactive and accessible, I'd recommend considering other indoor attractions in Orlando instead, especially on busy or rainy days. We had some time to kill before checking into our Airbnb, so our team stopped by Wonder World--and it ended up being one of the highlights of the trip! There was something for everyone: younger siblings, teenagers, and even the adults had a blast. The Astronaut Challenge and VR rollercoaster were instant team favorites, and the rope and VR obstacle courses turned into a fun (and surprisingly competitive) showdown for the grown-ups. Have been going to this location since it opened with 8 grandkids now 3-18. Have always gone in am and left for lunch and nap and come back in afternoo/night. Unfriendly manager says this is no longer allowed. Cannot leave premises and come back in. There are no signs about this change and it is not on the tickets. Manager says in oh well attitude that it is noted on website. Also had issues with the same manager over height of grandson for a ride. He says height is measured by where back of head touches the line Not top of head. We are avid amusement park family with busch gardens and kings dominion season passes since my children 37 and 42 were kids and never have a place measure from below top of head. We have always loved going to Wonderworks but with so many other attractions at Myrtle Beach will be spending our money elsewhere. Went for the holiday dinner magic show and left halfway through. What sounded like a fun break from theme parks and room service. The food is horrible with an extremely limited menu, and the service is even worse. The waiter brought our drinks over about 10 minutes after every other table had received their beverages. They ushered in frozen pizzas as we were sitting down, which were not replenished. Beyond the magic show the museum tries to be interactive but is pretty boring especially to young kids. The arcade has a pretty good selection however dirty with the A/C either off or heater on. Throw in a bunch of tourists and you're sweating as soon as you walk in. Just another tourist trap. My girlfriend and I decided to make WonderWorks our date night activity for Saturday night, and it was such a fun experience! I had visited when I was younger, but I didn't remember much from that time, and this was my girlfriend's first visit ever. She was beyond excited, and I can honestly say this place didn't disappoint. WonderWorks is a perfect spot for a date night with your partner, but it's also great for families with kids. The entire experience is very interactive and immersive. Depending on how fast you go through everything, it takes about 1.5 to 2 hours to see everything. But if you add the comedy show and arcade, you're looking at 3 to 4 hours of fun. We found out for the month of October the comedy show was Halloween theme. We played unless 4 hrs or even longer. I am not kidding! My husband got to third place of the week! Went online and purchased the after hours ticket at a discounted rate. Paid about $150 for 2 adults and 2 kids. Comes with entrance, a scavenger book (win prizes at the end), and a $8 arcade card. We entered in at 9pm. Of course, plenty of cool interactive things to do. Key is to tell the kids to take their time exploring. As you know kids tends to get hyper and wants to zoom through everything in 5 mins. I believe there are 4 floors so take your time. Every floor has something cool to see, touch, and do. Lots of photo ops. The virtual roller coaster was great, kids loved it. Overall, we will be back soon. My kid is already asking to come back. read more

The first level was really cool gave me science, education, STEM vibes, which on vacation was nice get in for the kids! They have so many interactive games with education mixed in. I can't even try to name them all but just to name a few super cool ones. They have giant bubbles, extreme weather experiences, cool sensory exhibits including an interactive sand box, giant piano, a twisting tunnel, a huge ropes coarse, laser tag, an arcade, a magic show with a dinner, astronaut training experience, a build your own coaster experience where you get to "ride" your coaster. and my favorite was the 4D XD theater which made it feel like we were on a wild coaster ride. The building is super cool and looks upside down from outside and in various parts of the inside. They also have a Cafe where you can get different types of foods. This was super fun and affordable for anyone looking for something to do that isn't disney or universal this is the place! The staff were all really kind and helpful. I took my 4 year old son here on a Friday while visiting Orlando. We were looking for a half day activity close to our hotel. We spent about 2 hours here. While there were lots of things he could do, there were a lot of things he also could not do. When we arrived there was a huge group of middle school aged kids there for a field trip. Thankfully, they were really interested in doing the things on the third floor like the indoor ropes course and laser tag, so they bypassed most of the things we were checking out. After about 45 minutes there was another field trip of younger kids so it started to get very busy in there. It seems like this is a go to field trip location. There were very few people there not affiliated with a trip. The staff at the front desk were not super friendly and I felt like I was inconveniencing them. I ended up purchasing our tickets through visitorlando.com since they were actually cheaper on that site. In order to use the tickets I had to email them to their sprint email address and then they had to verify my ID and print out tickets for me. It seemed like a wasteful and slow process when my ticket had a barcode on it. The first floor was small and had educational type activities about weather. The second floor had a bubble room but it was really hard to make the giant bubbles. The rest of the second floor was lots of arcade type games with some educational things mixed in. It was very loud and overwhelming with so many arcade type games playing at top volume at the same time. The place also didn't seem very clean to me. I noticed a number of candy wrappers and trash in certain games, but maybe that was from the large group of kids that went through before us. Most of the third floor is for older kids (laser tag, 4D theater, ropes course) and it had a lot of arcade games you have to pay for, so we skipped most of that area. I went on a Tuesday around 3pm during the summer on a rainy day. There was a line out the door but it was moving. I brought a 15, 14, and 11 year old and they had a blast! It was busy in the exhibit but we finished it in about 4 hours. Afterwards we went back to some of their favorite things and there was no line! If we do it again I'll come at 8pm for the cheaper entry. I was worried a lot of people would come late for the cheaper price but that wasn't the case on the day I went. Fun for the whole family. Our family decided to go during Thanksgiving 2023 by learning about the discounted rates on a 3rd party site. Pros: The hours of operation works for every one of all ages They are wheelchair accessible Great for all ages, Time-consuming, Educational. Cons: Very loud, wish there was a guided tour or audio for people that cannot hear with all the noise. We went on a weekday evening where there were both locals kids and out of towners (we can tell). Many families as well. There were about 3 floors of experiences about science, games, quizzes... things where you can use your brain, hands, etc. It is well worth it if you actually read every little thing and stop at every station. What we didn't know is that there is a ropes course, laser tag, 4-D animation ride, VR experiences, and moveable attractions included in the price. You get your monies worth! I do not want to give too much away, I will just say, GO. Not everyday will be a perfect day, but take your time, enjoy yourself, and try and do everything.
