For a Saturday evening the store had a stream of customers and three employees who were all kind and had smiles, even after the whole day. The store is set up with different stations that explain everything you do- pick the "bear" you want, stuff it, dress it, and name it. Overall the process is simple and customization to the max which is nice for kids and the name certificate makes things personal too. I would say $100 per animal with all the details is a good way to look at how much one would spend. The amount fluctuates depending on the accessories and if the heart inside the animal is scented or with sound. Variety of accessories and clothes makes it fun dor adults to get into it too- wigs, costumes, animal carriers, dog/cat food, sunglassed and even hospital kit with band aids, shots etc. Service we experienced was great! The employees looked in the back for us for a clothing item and even suggested we take the last one off the display animal. Also, gave suggestions on color and accessories. Genuinely interacted with the children and wanted to know about their new creation. Though it can get crowded on weekends or when there is a deal/promo, for out of town little kids it was a fun experience!

This was my first experience purchasing a special new friend at Build-A-Bear for my little girl. The store set up is clean and accessible, but the reason I'm taking time out of my day to review is solely on the customer service myself but most importantly my daughter received from Kathie. She was wonderful, personable, and made the entire experience seem a bit magical. I loved her process for "activating" the little bear's heart. Kathie, thank you for making Astrid's day!

This is a great place to go and spend some money like $35-$50 a pop). Totally worth it to do a birthday party here. Kids and adults alike have a blast creating aa new friend. The party prices range in pricing and what each package offers to the recipient. We got the package with all the bells and whistles - $45/kid. This included an employee completely dedicated to you and your party. You also received any of the stuffed and fluff animals, an outfit with shoes, a bag to carry them in and a sound to put in the stuffy. It was a great time. You always have the option to spend as little or as much as you want. Go out there and make a new friend.

Great place to take your kids. I think it take a $100 bill to fully accessorize, all out the way you want for your stuffed animal or bear. Great customer service! Staff is patient and really good with kids.

Our toddler just turned three years old, so we've been looking at getting her more books, puzzles, and other fun toys that further her development. This place is not only a perfect resource for teachers, it's also a great place to find unique toys for your family. I try to find local stores to support instead of initially buying off of Amazon. I'm so happy I found this place! They have everything for every age from books, puzzles, arts and crafts, STEM books and toys, science and math activities, bath and water toys, dolls, blocks, stickers, classroom decor/maps, organizers, supplies, floor mats, and some basic furniture (stools/chairs). This is like the next best place to go to when Toys R Us no longer exists. They're a bit more pricey than other brands I've seen, but I love finding unique toys that keep kids engaged. We walked out of the store with some books, stickers, one floor puzzle, alphabet learning locks toy, and a blocks and blueprints toy. The staff is friendly! They're former teachers, so they have some excellent recommendations here. I recommend this place and plan to come back again soon.

The staff is top-notch and clearly knows the stock inside and out. They were incredibly friendly and helpful. They offered to open items so we could get a closer look and bring alternatives that we might be interested in. The pricing is just about what you'd find on Amazon, so making the trip and buying from the store is worth it. They also have a rewards program and lots of catalogs if you can't find exactly what you're looking for in-store. I was really happy to try out the various alternative chair options and then place an order right to my room.

Lots of interesting finds here, more heavy on the Pokemon side - as they even have special curated cards. Also it's really nice that they have an upstairs lounge area where they have a spot with some free snacks and just is nice place to chill. Also the service was very friendly and informative, especially on some of their high end curated Pokemon cards.

It was super cute and fun to take pictures with. The store staff locks the door from the outside, so you have to flag down a staff member to let you in. I thought that was strange, but I realized they are probably doing that for anti-theft purposes since they do carry a lot of expensive items. Walking-in, I was amazed with the décor and selection. It was like I was walking through a store from Japan itself. There was a good variety of items with stuff from the Pokémon company to stuff created by small business owners. I ended up getting 4 Pokémon prints to hang in my room that were created by a small business owner. They had a deal for buy 3 get 1 free, so I could not refuse especially since the prints were so cute. I liked how they had deals like that for a lot of things. When I checked out, they even gave me a free custom sticker. My only critique is the prices. The prices are generally on the higher side for both the imported and custom made goods and this is coming from someone from LA. The 3 prints I bought totaled to around $45 which a bit high. Overall, a good experience here. I would come back if I had some extra money to spend.
