They had a large store with clearly labeled although crowded, aisles of comic, anime, cartoon, manga, clothing, and other items. This store is clearly a comic book lovers dream with a library of new and vintage ones that were for sale. They even had a basement area filled with comic books to purchase in bulk and video games to play. All in all, if you are looking for a specific comic book, manga merch, anime merch, Funko Pops and the like to add to your collection, this store is a must visit.

I was painting a tree for a Trunk or Treat event at my church, and Lakeshore had the size of paint I needed and was just the right cost. I was able to find what I needed, even though I haven't been here in a long time. What made this shopping experience so great, was the nice man that assisted me with my purchase. He was so helpful and kind. I mean he made me smile. That I was overjoyed that he helped me again when I returned the 2nd bottle of paint that I didn't use. He surely must of heard of the saying, Be the reason someone smile! I hope Lakeshore will keep this sweet guy around and wish other places had people like him. I give him 10 stars for the best customer service.

I stumbled across this location while going to the Target which is in the same area. Though it was…read morenear closing time, I had about 30 minutes to walk the entire store. What really stood out to me was that although the store is big, it was well organized and clean. I found several items that I liked including some food items, snacks, as well as an electric toothbrush that I can use for travel. The toiletries aisle is also a great place to shop for branded items at much lower prices including organic tampons, dove body wash, shampoo and even high end deodorant brands. I plan to go back to get items for my porch (outdoor chairs, planters, and the lights that keep mosquitoes at bay). I also loved the Martha Stewart dish sets and other branded, kitchen items. I checked the expiration for all the food items and nothing was expired.

Before they would send me a new one I had to return the old one which defeats the purpose of convenience. The 2nd time I checked the bag before I left the parking lot. The box of ziploc bags was obviously opened. Fortunately I was able to flag down an employee who exchanged it right away, but this also proves that they had more in stock. That's not incompetence, that's indifference. Never going back. I would add photos, but Yelp requires access to my mic.

Located in the Hampden section of Bmore, Atomic Books would easily satisfy the inner book nerd in you (*raises hand...). Upon entering, the ambiance was chill with music playing over the speaker with just enough volume to not get in the way of perusing the incredible book collection. The books are sectioned according to genre, which makes for ease in looking for a specific topic. They have a magazine section as well with titles you won't find in an ordinary newsstand (a magazine titled "Bomb"?.... I'm impressed). The cost of the books varied, but was not so to bust your budget. They also have a selection of comic books in addition to t-shirts and items with the Atomic Books logo. The staff were pleasant and customers who came in seemed to be locals supporting a great small business. I liked that. And don't forget I mentioned a bar....located in the rear....serving adult libations. Can you imagine yourself purchasing a favorite book and settling in at one of the seats in the bar sipping on your favorite drink? Or playing the video game back there? We had time to kill before a dinner reservation nearby so we walked in to see if we could find a book to bring with us to the beach. After searching through the shelves and seeing all that Atomic Books has to offer, my husband and I both found something that piqued our interest. I love shopping small and supporting local, and Atomic Books has classic Baltimore charm mixed with the unique punk vibes of Hamden. The next time I'm around grabbing a bite, I think I'll stop in and buy another book to enjoy.
