A burger worth your trip! The first time trying this place, we ordered through Doordash and the burger was still hot and tasted juicy and fresh as if it was hot off the grill. Second time, we picked up a couple burgers for takeout recently and it was bustling inside with tables of families and people coming in and out. We waited about 15-20 min which is pretty quick considering the amount of people in front of us and that the burgers were made fresh to order. They have options to either order a speciality burger or build your own. I personally like customizing it since I found it cheaper and you can get everything you want with little to no additional charge. I believe the only additional charge is for avocado and egg. I recommend ordering a double or triple patty if you're really hungry since it's the classic smashed thin burgers. They are on the greasy side but that's when you know it's gonna be good. The burger doesn't come with fries unfortunately but the burger is pretty filling without it. We did get an order of fries to try, which you can dress up for a little bit more. We just got the plain fries which were still pretty crispy by time we got home. I'll need to try their shareable fries next time! They have other options for people who may not be craving a burger like chicken strips, appetizers and even hot dogs that you can customize as well. The staff were all masked up and they have curbside delivery as well as Doordash so they have been accommodating to COVID safety. We'll try to dine in next time to get the full experience! read more

The premise here is fairly easy right...build your burger. My first mistake was not choosing a burger...I went with the buffalo chicken sandwich. I did take it to go as well but in my opinion the quality of the sandwich would've been the same. First thing I noticed was the sandwich was quite large..which is good! But I swear it had so much lettuce piled on it, felt like a side salad was one of the toppings. Maybe the moisture of the lettuce softened the breading on the chicken, because it was near falling off. Breading should not fall of the breast...and it also tasted of old oil. Not a great combination...if you look at the picture, you can see the breading hanging off the breast...no thanks. I was expecting the nice tangy heat of buffalo with ranch...but instead tasted old breading with zero crunch. And I must say...those fries are some of the saddest looking fries. No crispness...no crunch...no salt...no pepper...no thanks! The namesake of this place is a burger...and maybe one of those burgers would be worth it. Stick with one and avoid this mess... read more

Build a Burger makes huge and delicious burgers that will satisfy any appetite. The interior is very clean and well lit with a bunch of friendly employees who always greet you with a smile. I have primarily ordered them through DoorDash delivery and order pickup. The pickup process is very smooth and the food is always fresh and hot. When I'm very hungry, I go with the double meat burger with American cheese, a fried egg, and all the toppings. Although the burger price doesn't include a side of fries, you can add most of the toppings for no additional charge, except the egg (literally building your own burger). The burgers here are massive and the patties are well seasoned. My only complaint about them is that the burgers do get pretty greasy and the grease occasionally soaks through the paper bags. I also tend to avoid getting the regular fries here because the fries are not well seasoned and taste bland. I hope they can make their fries more crispy and add some seasoning to them. However, if you're looking for a good value burger place, then definitely check out Build A Burger because they have daily specials posted on their website and offer many customization options. This is the third time I have eaten at Build a Burger in the past two weeks. I order the combo (regular "Rick" burger with no cheese, bacon, etc.) -- Burger is always really good and juicy and meat has a really good flavor. Lettuce & tomatoes all very fresh. Like the sweet potato fry's better than the regular potato fry's (which were not as crispy as I like them) -- but that is personal taste. The burgers are pretty big, so have an appetite. Even though restaurant is prominently located, you need to be looking for it there on the corner. Service is good and fairly prompt. There is not much for ambiance -- just tables and chairs (which is fine -- at least no TV or music blasting). All three times the floors and tables and restrooms were clean. Today all the soda flavors were "out", but raspberry tea was really good (comes with combo). Will go back as long as food quality stays as good as it is now. Prices are about normal for burgers but these burgers are much better than most joints (ie., 10 times better than the Who A Burger place, IMHO). read more

There's always something new you can try with the various combinations made to order. I think that the quality of the meat, the burger, the flavors and toppings are really great (even for a food truck :) Burgers can be personal and people all have their opinions on where to get theirs but I think Build A Burger does a nice job of customizing your burger without being too pricey. Stopped by around 1pm on a Saturday afternoon. The place several customers and parking was a breeze. I'm from San Antonio and we have some amazing burgers (Chris Madrid's, Chester's, Babe's) so I'm not easily impressed when it comes to a hamburger. But HOLY MOLY, these were AMAZING! It's right in the corner of the Best Western. It's a food truck so don't be looking for a building. This is a great place to get a homemade burger. They don't make it until you order it. Fries are bomb, they are fresh, homemade. They have picnic tables for you to sit on. You can walk to the hotel and order an adult beverage. The cashier was nice and talked me through the ordering process. She brought out napkins and asked if we needed any condiments (aka ketchup) They accept cash and credit cards. read more

For my first time, I went with some pretty classic ingredients - mayo, lettuce, tomato and pickle slices. These are my go to ingredients for any new burger joint I try. A sort of test to see if they stand with the best. Now, let me tell you without hesitation, that Build-A-Burger passed the test! BAD BAD BAD!!! I placed an order and the only thing that was correct was the onion rings and fries. My 2 burgers were completley wrong and the manager didn't want to do anything about it. She initially said that we had taken longer then 30 minutes to call and complain so she couldn't issue credit. After explaining to her that the time on the receipt was incorrect and proving her wrong she offered a 20% discount on my next order. She was so unprofessional in how she handled things. She was rude from the start. It was not my fault that her employees imputted the order incorrect and yet she didn't want to take accountability for it. I have been a customer since it started as a food truck. This place has been decreasing in quality. They don't taste half as good as they did when they were a food truck. The patties and ingredients don't taste as fresh as they did, they are not as juicy, they are more dry. I would use to drive 30 mins just to get a burger from here but sadly they just don't hit as good as they did before.
