My husband has been here several times and kept talking about how great the food was. I was finally able to try it out and I was pleased with the food and service. Overall, I'd say it's worth a try. My husband and I shared the Uncle Sam pizza (pepperoni, jalapeños, and cream cheese). It was good, but I wish the crust was crispier. It's not fun to eat a soggy pizza. The parm bites were warm, fluffly, and bland. The marinara sauce was also lacking in taste. I ordered a regular lemonade and switched it out to a coke because the taste was a little off to me. All that being said, we took our leftovers home and will gladly be eating them the next day. My brother ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken. He said it wasn't spicy like he thought it would be. He rated it a 7 out of 10. Since he knew I was yelping, he wanted to make sure I knew the restrooms were clean lol. I read so many reviews about bad service and I have to comment that we had an amazing server. She was super friendly and attentive. I do have to point out though (and this might be the host's responsibility or a different employee) that the floor beneath our table had not been cleaned before they sat us. We order two pizzas for take out last night. One was gluten free and one was a regular pizza. Both had pepperoni and mushrooms. Each slice only had a couple of pepperoni and tiny mushrooms. We were very disappointed. We also ordered bone in wings those were okay. read more

Very disappointed with the service. Came to Parry's for pizza and tenders. Someone brought out pizza and no plates or utensils. We had to wait and ask them to bring some out. We had to ask for pepper and cheese. No customer service at all. This will be our last time coming here. Mind you there were 20 people or less at restaurant. read more

I've had an eye on Parry's since it opened. Pizza...wings...and over 70 beers on tap... my type of destination! Unfortunately...it failed to live up to my expectations. I took my family...mind you 7 of us with everyone included. We were sat I guess in the "large family" area...which is fine. The booth was spacious and every one was comfy. Why the 3 stars...better yet, let me rephrase the question, why were 2 stars lost? Because of the service. I'll admit, the waitress (I do remember her name but I won't name her) was friendly, but very absent. I'm not sure if it was simply too much for her, since one waitress was assigned to such large tables (7-8 people each), or if it was simply her. When we were sat...it took about 5-7 mins for her to come by to take our drinks. After placing the order for our drinks...maybe another 10-12 mins for the drinks to arrive. The waitress said I could get a sample of a beer from the beer menu...I received the sample maybe 20 mins later. Here was the kicker...we ordered our food. I ordered a kids pizza for my 5 yr old son, with ranch. When the food started coming out, the brought my son's pizza first. A different waitress came to drop it off. I noticed there was no ranch and asked if she could please bring the ranch. She simply nodded... turned...and walked away. Did she bring the ranch? You can figure it out...but my son waited around for another 10 mins for some ranch to be brought out by our regular waitress. I'll be clear on this...the food is bomb here. The Knickerbocker bread... perfect appetizer to start. I had the wings...loved the Hot BBQ wings. Perfect pairing of sweet with heat. I do wish the wings were piping hot...I think they were held back a little while they waited on the other entrees. Amazing beer menu...I love when places list what type of beer your are drinking, along with it's ABV. Parry's is only one of 2 that I know of with such a great beer menu. BUT...when you have bad service, it will always leave a bad taste in your mouth when you leave, regardless of how tasty the food was. And one more tidbit... I had ordered a Skyline IPA. After we had already paid the check...the same waitress who ignored me on the ranch, came by with an IPA in hand and asked me if I had ordered a Skyline. I told her I had and it was already brought to me and drank. Jokingly I told her she could leave it...she just nodded her, not one word to me...walked off with it. Guess what the bar would do with it when she brought it back...? I'm pretty sure they were just going to toss it... Great atmosphere... dynamite food... unfortunately lacking in service during my experience. Will I be back... probably, but I definitely won't be bringing my family here. read more

I stopped in here with a friend while I was out in McAllen. This is a very new looking establishment. It was a monday night so it was not busy at all but its a big place with lots of space. They have a menu with much more than pizza like lasagna etc and a great tap list if beers and cocktails. My friend and I got a pizza which had a very thin and crispy crust. The pizza was really good! The servers were very nice, so kudos to them! Service and environment was decent, fun, and overall enjoyable :] ...As for the food itself, not so much. The appetizers were okay, but the actual entrée was the main issue. I went with my family, they got a whole pepperoni pizza to share, I had the spicy shrimp and chicken Alfredo. Neither were great. The chicken tasted like it came from a can, the shrimp was way too hard, the pasta was definitely overcooked, and there was no sort of "Alfredo thickness" that would regularly be in any other Alfredo sauce. I had to add questionable amounts of parmesan to barely get any sort of consistency, anything other than just "wet." And for 15 bucks? Let's be reasonable. The pizza was also not very flavorful, it's no better than mall food. I don't think I would ever choose to go here myself. I didn't pick the place, I've never been here, but I really don't envision myself ever coming back by choice. This place is just a sequel to Chili's, kind of like Chuck E. First time visitors. We all agreed that they had good food and a great outdoor vibe. The only reason we're giving it 4 and not 5 stars is due to their lack of large party accommodation. The outdoor tables don't move which was sort of a bummer for our party of 12, but we had a good time regardless because we had kids table, teen table, adult table. But if I had come with a group of friends I'd have been bummed. The waitress was very attentive and helpful in navigating the menu. Tried it out on a weekday afternoon. Super clean and extremely friendly staff. Greeted as the doors were opened for us. We were seated immediately. Our server, Elva, was friendly and very attentive. The food was brought out quickly by a team of servers. Even when we had a small hiccup with our order, it was corrected in minutes. There is a prolific beer selection and numerous TVs. A group of us went to Parry's Pizza. Out of the sixteen of us who went, 16 said they would not be going back. With everything from pizza and pasta to sandwiches and wings, the menu seemed promising. It was a total letdown. I ordered the Pearl, a white pizza with Italian sausage. What a disappointment. Too thin and overcooked. The biggest complaint from the group was the portion size. Even for a quick drop in, I would go somewhere else. I come from an area with a lot of mom and pop Italian restaurants and there is nothing here that can even compare. For pizza in that area, drive 500 south in the same parking lot and go to Stefano's instead. read more

My family and I visited and were very unsatisfied at the service and cleanliness of the place. First off we ordered a drink at the bar that they told us they could not make but then our lovely waiter Art told us they can make it but that the bartender was being lazy. Our food took a long time to come out and when it did it was not even that warm. The restrooms were in horrible condition for the restaurant to have just opened up. The toilet paper roll was out of the dispenser and there was dirty toilet paper all over the floor. We were told it was going to be an hour wait to be seated and ended up being seated in 10min so I'm not sure what the confusion was there but multiple parties were leaving because they were also told it was an hour wait. Hopefully this places comes together soon as I've tried them in another city with no problems. read more

The ambiance was cool but the food and service was terrible. I asked for a Margheritta Pizza and the cheese was not fresh at all. Tomato was under the burned crusted cheese and there was no basil on the pizza. Also asked for a fettuccine Alfredo without tomatoes, ( never seen tomatoes in Alfredo sauce) and of course dish came with tomatoes. My son's burger was dry, fries were surprisingly good. Buffalo wings could have been better as well. Our server Martha never stopped at our table to offer refills, I had to keep raising my hand to ask her to come over to our table and repeatedly had to ask for items because she kept forgetting. It's been a month since it opened and figured they'd have worked out the kinks. Definitely will not return and don't recommend. read more
