ProBuild was the supplier for a new-construction community I recently moved into. The timing of my…read moremove combined with the timing of a winter storm meant I was 1 month out of my builter's warranty on cracked windows due to weather, but I was recommended to contact ProBuild directly. I have to say, I was absolutely blown away with the personal attention and customer service I received at what is essentially a LARGE-scale community builder supplier company. I was out of my builder's warranty but ProBuild was able to look up the exact part I had an issue with using only a photo from an email and find out that I actually still had one month left on the window manufacturer's warranty. They immediately put in an order and within 4 days the replacement window had arrived and I was told I could stop by any time to pick it up. When I arrived, based on the customer service I received, I was expecting some sort of small operation; but incredibly this was a HUGE supplier right there in Summerville that I had to maneuver around forklifts hauling multiple-ton loads of wood and other building supplies to trailers just to park at the customer entrance. I was personally assisted by Mike Payne while I was there and even given a small walkthrough of the warehouse (after putting on my safety vest) and was impressed with the organization that allowed him to find my particular window within seconds of stepping into the warehouse. I'm sure this review will do no one any good, but I was so impressed with the level of customer service that I really felt I had to leave a review and add this business to Yelp.

I am not an expert when it comes to wood and was there to pay only for what will be a staircase to…read morethe attic in the garage. The contractor decided what to buy and it was a little more complicated to order, pay and then get the wood because my contractor made a couple of mistakes but realized when he actually saw the wood. Everything got fixed and we drove away with all the necessary stuff but I have to mention that the reason why I am rating this business with a five star is because of Todd. He patiently made the necessary corrections to the material and to the order with an exceptional amount of patience, incredible! if I was on his shoes maybe I would have reacted with some kind of negative reaction like maybe "make up your mind" guys if not out loud maybe just in my head. Not Todd he did all the necessary adjustments with a smile. I have interacted with this business in the past when they had to go to my home to make some repairs and I wasn't impressed with their work but todays experience erases any negative feeling I had. If I had to go and buy wood again I would certainly request Todd

One of the worst companies I've ever dealt with. My contractor ordered a replacement window…read morethrough Jeffrey Scott at the Summerville location. He was sent a photo of the sticker on the window which provides all relevant information. I was provided an estimate which I signed so the order could be placed. I was informed they don't accept credit cards over the phone since I didn't have an account with them. I drove 45 minutes each way to hand them my credit card. When the order came in a few weeks later I made the 90 minute round trip again to pick up the window. I sat in the parking lot for close to an hour until they finally located the window and placed it in my trunk. Upon arriving home, I realized the window was not only the wrong color, but also the wrong size. I was told by the co-manager, William Weeks, 84 Lumber would not accept a return or take any accountability because I signed the estimate. What kind of company takes no accountability for their employee's mistakes? Not one I'll ever do business with again. I'm not a home builder and don't pretend to be an expert in that field. That's why I prefer to work with professionals who know what they're doing and stand behind their work. I will never do business with this company again.
