And then we had two days of work. Both project managers, Eric and Greg were wonderful people. They did their best. I really appreciate it to work. And, overall, the team did a good job based on what I can tell from outside. They worked clean, they were respectful, they showed up on time. The only problem, and that's the reason that I only give 3 star, but not 5 star, is there is this one person in office, Lori. She's really hard to work with. She has an attitude. I had some question about this invoice. Some numbers initial didn't make sense to me. But the way she handles things with attitude, she gives me this tone while speaking - she is too much frustrated and frustrating customers too. If i am paying $8,000, i will ask question. I was shocked, with the PSE rebate, which NW Insulation takes care of, the estimate was thousands less than I thought it would be! I signed up, and a day or so later I got a call to schedule the install, again, surprisingly, they could do it right away and I scheduled for about a week out. The installers got to my house about 8am and were very polite and professional. They basically worked all day, got the job done, and were on their way. They left everything clean and it is amazing to me how the house looked when they were done. They blew in the insulation from the exterior and the method that they used left no trace, they removed a course of siding, drilled holes, filled the walls, plugged the holes, and replaced the siding. You can't even tell that they were there. I have only had a few hot days to determine if there has been an improvement and honestly it really does seem to stay cooler inside, looking forward to winter for the real test. All in all, this has been a great experience, I very highly recommend NW Insulation for your project.

When I contacted the owner to ask if a wire might have been accidentally disconnected during the attic work, he refused to come by to inspect the situation. He argued that I should have reported the issue within two weeks, despite the fact that the unit was vacant and only recently occupied. Rather than offering to troubleshoot or verify their work, the owner was argumentative and dismissed the concern entirely. He also claimed I have no proof his team caused the damage and told me I would need to hire an electrician to prove it. I am disappointed in the lack of accountability and professional courtesy, and I would suggest looking elsewhere for a contractor who stands behind their labor.

He was always willing to jump on the phone to answer any questions, which I appreciated a lot. My house was built prior to 1989 so I received a nice PSE rebate for the work. On the day of, Jo's crew were quick and efficient and provided Before and After photos. They removed my old vapor barrier and insulation and replaced with new one, added new dryer vent duct and flapper, and added new roof vents for all my bathroom fans, and much more. I was able to ask them questions during and provided water and snacks to them for their hard work. The crew respected my home and cleaned up after themselves before leaving. After the work was completed, I thanked Jo for making this all possible and being easy to work with. We went over some of the After pictures together over the phone to help me learn about everything and ask additional questions. They even sent a crewmember to come back for a 2-week follow-up on the work to make sure everything still looks good. However, when I compared the bids for equivalent services, Insulation Co was significantly less expensive. No 'special discount' required; just straightforward pricing. The crew arrived on time, were careful to protect our property, and did excellent work. They took photos of their work and reviewed them with me. We had an issue with a switch for our bathroom fan that I mistakenly suspected was related to the installation. Jo responded immediately when I informed him of my suspicion and had someone come out the next day to troubleshoot it. Great service. Great value. Honest.

Pro's - Basic work seemed to be done well and at a price that was competitive with others I contacted at least for the basic service. - Communication was prompt. - After some re-scheduling on their part, the team did the work swiftly and efficiently. - Most of the terms were clear in advance, using Yelp Projects. Con's - This is a fairly shiesty corner of the home maintenance world. Many providers seem to give you a low-ball estimate to get in the door and then upsell significantly. - Envirosmart is not an exception. - The initial quote was $200. This included scoping the ducts and doing the negative pressure clean-out. - Onsite, they then upsold me to $670 for a more thorough brushing of the vents, sanitation, and some other ancillary services. - They were only modestly well-organized. They called the day-of to reschedule because of a conflict with internal training. They also confirmed a different time than I had originally scheduled. It was the difference of a 9 to 11am original window and a 2:30-3pm arrival. - The Yelp Project communication could have been clearer. They did not specify whether they were calling to quote me or coming to do the service! Amid all this and with some clarification and flexibility on our part, we worked it out. I would have appreciated either a discount or additional service for the delay. None was proffered. I did not go ahead with the upsell as I had already gotten quotes for less from other providers with somewhat more transparent pricing. I think the work they did appeared fine. See attached pics. Your guess is as good as mine which are before and which are after! They did not specify when they sent them to me and email took off the timestamp. I'm hoping the cleaner ones. I probably will try another service when I do this again and with a higher rated provider. All in all, though, I had low expectations and those low expectations were met.

After finishing blowing in the insulation they cleaned up all around the exterior of the house leaving nothing. It pays to read contract fine print. Other quotes I received varied in pricing by double and wanted 50% upon signing then 40% day of installation leaving 10% at completion. Also changing the installation date was costly, some $500 just to change a date. WA Evergreen did not charge a fee to change a date, nothing down just pay when completed. Great communication by all involved. I'm very happy that I chose them.

We originally just wanted insulation blown over what we had, but decided after…read moreseeing the amount of dirt, old animal debris, missing insects and lack of sealing of holes and areas we would have it all removed and replaced. $$$ but so well done! I went up and checked before, during and post work and we are so pleased. We are now properly vented and have airflow, have all areas sealed, vent fans sealed correctly and enough insulation. It took only about an hour for the estimate, including the 1/2 hour the gentleman took to write it up and provide photos, work to be done and costs (in a color pamphlet!). He also reviewed what was found and what work should be done and why. We were really impressed. The actual work was scheduled week later and took 2 days (did not take an entire day each day). They were quick, clean, put up plastic barriers to protect the walls, house and floor. No leakage of any debris or old soiled insulation occurred. 10/10 would hire again. Note: they took care if the PSE rebates and were recommended by PSE.

I told them that they were hired to make sure that no pest could get in!!!! They sent someone out to check and sure enough there were signs of rodents again , said one must have been trapped in there!!! Not likely!! But ok! Tried to sell me on THEIR pest control service (very expensive) and quoted me another 1,200$ to fix what they did not take care of the first time!! Do yourself a favor and do not hire them!!!!
