Kyle Plumbing - Serious conversation :)

    Kyle Plumbing

Well, yesterday we NEEDED Kyle and they were as fabulous as always. Kadeem was polite , friendly, knowledgeable and competent. Indira sent someone out sane day , which was key. They don't charge any juice on product so they're extremely fair priced They even have a program after 4 visits you get $50 Off the 5th call.

Kyle's Plumbing was recommended to me from where I work. It was one of the worst S. Florida…read more"typical contractor" experiences I've ever had. They were so happy when I started off with a great review, but then one leak caused another leak. (I know this, because I was listening to the technicians. Then there was a third leak, which I heard and notified the owner, because he had given me his personal number to call for issues. I was ignored. I was told it was the air from the dehumidifiers in one of of the units damaged by the leaks below me. I heard the water, but no one was listening to me. I was treated like I'm in some way retarded, because I was asking for steps to make it stop on a Friday night. I care about my neighbors. Two weeks went by, and it was leaking the entire time, and another unit was affected. I would love to have seen the look on Kevin's face when that leak was finally confirmed and another unit needed repairs. They sent a cease and desist letter full of lies, when I hadn't done anything yet. It was not signed by a judge. It was designed to scare me, and I'm not scared. The lawsuit is coming. And, I will give this review for anyone who asks. Kyle's plumbing was supposed to fix my bathroom, not become the speech police. There is no way on this planet or any other that I would ever hire them again. Contractors are not allowed to speak to me the way they did, they put a hold on my permit, made me jump through hoops to finish it on my own just to be mean, after I paid $6770 to them and $300 for the drywall I had replaced as directed which was promptly torn out. And, the company that they are so concerned about me talking about that we both work for, which not one word has been said, was bashed in front of me for their ignorance in not following the suggestions of Kyle's Plumbing. It's the church where I work. Why would you bash the company that referred you and then talk poorly about them in front of one of their employees. Absolutely the bottom of the barrel when it comes to customer service, honesty, or kindness. I am disgusted by how I was treated.

Amy's Plumbing - Call Amy's plumbing to help with leaks

She came right on time, diagnosed the problem and fixed it in no time! I asked if I could show her 2 other plumbing problems fearing that she would say no because she had a busy schedule that day, to my surprise she happily agreed, took note of my problems, said she would get back to me as soon as she could to schedule another visit. I thought I would have to replace 2 other faucets, but Amy thought she could fix it instead & saving me time and money!! This is not the first time I've called Amy, but I'm still amazed at how knowledgeable and professional Amy is and how quickly she resolves ANY issues I have and I pray that she never retires, because I'll never call any other plumber!! Amy is the BEST!!!

Extremely disappointing experience. I had been using Amy's Plumbing for a while -- they were always…read moreexpensive, but at least upfront with pricing and the work was done as promised. Unfortunately, the most recent job showed a complete change in their ethics and customer care. I called them to fix a leaking bathtub faucet in my guest bathroom. I was presented with two options: * $850 for a 3-handle replacement but requiring a hole in the wall, and * $1,150 for a 1-handle replacement with a clear promise that no hole in the wall would be needed. I agreed to the more expensive option specifically because they guaranteed no wall damage. While I was off the premises, Amy called insisting the plumber needed to be paid immediately before leaving. I paid. When I got home, I found a large hole in the wall in my master bedroom -- the exact thing they promised would not happen. I called Amy right away. Instead of owning the mistake, she blamed "miscommunication," said the plumber should have called me, and then started gaslighting me by claiming the job was "more expensive" and that I should be grateful that they kept the "old price." Absolutely absurd -- especially considering the already outrageous cost. I offered two reasonable solutions: * reduce the cost to the $850 option (the one that did require a hole), or * fix the wall they damaged. She refused both and showed zero interest in resolving the issue. Key points future customers should know: Pricing has become outrageous; greed has replaced fairness. They do not uphold their agreements -- even written or verbal commitments mean nothing here. Customer care is nonexistent. It feels like they have enough clients and simply don't care about losing anyone. If you're looking for an honest, reliable, and ethical plumbing company, this is not it. I never leave reviews like this, but the level of dishonesty and disrespect I experienced deserves to be public. UPDATE / CLARIFICATION: The owner posted a response that unfortunately does not match what actually happened, so I want to clarify a few key facts for anyone reading this. I was originally given two options for replacing my leaking tub faucet: $850 for a 3-handle valve, with a hole in the back wall. $1,150 for a single-handle upgraded valve, with a clear promise that no hole in the wall would be needed. I chose the more expensive option solely because I was told it would avoid cutting into the bedroom wall. However, when I came home, the wall was cut open anyway, and the tiles in the bathroom were also disturbed. I never received a call, no one asked permission, and no one sent photos before opening the wall. The work was done without any notice. The owner now claims that: the tiles "were not disturbed" (they were), I approved additional work because of corrosion (I was never contacted), and that "no one promised the wall wouldn't be opened" (the entire reason for choosing the $1,150 option was exactly that promise). These statements contradict what was discussed before the job started and what I saw afterward. I asked for a fair resolution -- either: * adjust the price to the $850 option, since that's effectively the method they ended up using, or * repair the wall they opened without authorization. Both were refused. I had used this company before when their pricing was high but transparent. This last experience showed a complete change: the price increased into unreasonable territory, the agreement wasn't honored, and decisions were made without my approval, followed by a response that tried to reframe the situation instead of addressing the issue. I stand by my original review. If you value straightforward communication, predictable pricing, and respect for your home, please be cautious here.
