    Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

    Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

Tech came and fixed the problem but there was a ton of water damage…read more They said that they can work with my insurance to get my kitchen repaired. Soon enough an adjustor came by and got paper work done. Roto rooter came and did the job, the guys were super sweet and awesome. All i was told was by the adjustor was "your insurance will pay for everything" I was getting emails from both roto rooter and my insurance about information. I kept telling my insurance that Roto rooter had all the info: claim form, invoice, and photos of damages. Roto rooter would ask me if there's any updates and if the adjustor had come for a inspection, no one ever came and I told them that my insurance was still asking for all the information. Fast forward I get a invoice that my insurance hasnt paid them after 30 days from their services. Again not once did anyone from roto rooter tell me "by the way you have to pay for everything if the insurance doesn't pay in 30 days" or else I would not have the service done and stayed with water damages. So now I'm stuck paying a invoice that I'm gonna struggle with paying for until the insurance pays me, which god knows how long that will take. If anyone from Roto rooter is reading this, please inform your customers VERBALLY from now on that if the home insurance doesn't pay in 30 days then they have to pay out of pocket. Don't expect people to read the fine print. I will also say the person in charge of claims at roto rooter is super sweet and did try their best to help me out with my situation.

The technician who came to my home to address a water heater issue was excellent -- professional,…read moreskilled, and even gave me a heads-up that a second representative might stop by to offer a free estimate to clean up some mold caused by the water heater issue. I appreciated that transparency. Unfortunately, what followed completely overshadowed that positive experience. After 10 PM, while my entire household was asleep, someone from Roto-Rooter rang our doorbell -- waking us, startling our dogs, and sending my heart racing. Before my husband could even get to the door, the person knocked again. When confronted, he explained that the company is 24/7 and he was "just doing his job." I reached out to Roto-Rooter's customer service, the general manager for the franchise called and apologized, acknowledging the person should have arrived closer to the original service window. However, he ultimately didn't see a fundamental problem with the company's policy to have a secondary person show up at an unscheduled time. While you may get great service from the initial technician, BEWARE that you may get a second, unscheduled, unannounced visit. That may be while you're working/in a meeting, when the appropriate person isn't home (i.e. a babysitter home with your kids), or when everyone is asleep. It's one thing to have someone show up at an odd hour because you called for emergency service. It's another thing to get someone ringing your doorbell and knocking on your door when everyone is fast asleep. While the general manager was very polite and professional in his apology, he seemed completely unbothered at the disruption sending people to homes for a second, unscheduled visit.

Amy's Plumbing - Call Amy's plumbing to help with leaks

I was stressed with my toilet not working so I texted Amy's Plumbing and in less than 2 minutes,…read moreAmy texted back saying she would try to fit me in the next morning. I thought "Wow!" She came right on time, diagnosed the problem and fixed it in no time! I asked if I could show her 2 other plumbing problems fearing that she would say no because she had a busy schedule that day, to my surprise she happily agreed, took note of my problems, said she would get back to me as soon as she could to schedule another visit. I thought I would have to replace 2 other faucets, but Amy thought she could fix it instead & saving me time and money!! This is not the first time I've called Amy, but I'm still amazed at how knowledgeable and professional Amy is and how quickly she resolves ANY issues I have and I pray that she never retires, because I'll never call any other plumber!! Amy is the BEST!!!

Extremely disappointing experience. I had been using Amy's Plumbing for a while -- they were always…read moreexpensive, but at least upfront with pricing and the work was done as promised. Unfortunately, the most recent job showed a complete change in their ethics and customer care. I called them to fix a leaking bathtub faucet in my guest bathroom. I was presented with two options: * $850 for a 3-handle replacement but requiring a hole in the wall, and * $1,150 for a 1-handle replacement with a clear promise that no hole in the wall would be needed. I agreed to the more expensive option specifically because they guaranteed no wall damage. While I was off the premises, Amy called insisting the plumber needed to be paid immediately before leaving. I paid. When I got home, I found a large hole in the wall in my master bedroom -- the exact thing they promised would not happen. I called Amy right away. Instead of owning the mistake, she blamed "miscommunication," said the plumber should have called me, and then started gaslighting me by claiming the job was "more expensive" and that I should be grateful that they kept the "old price." Absolutely absurd -- especially considering the already outrageous cost. I offered two reasonable solutions: * reduce the cost to the $850 option (the one that did require a hole), or * fix the wall they damaged. She refused both and showed zero interest in resolving the issue. Key points future customers should know: Pricing has become outrageous; greed has replaced fairness. They do not uphold their agreements -- even written or verbal commitments mean nothing here. Customer care is nonexistent. It feels like they have enough clients and simply don't care about losing anyone. If you're looking for an honest, reliable, and ethical plumbing company, this is not it. I never leave reviews like this, but the level of dishonesty and disrespect I experienced deserves to be public. UPDATE / CLARIFICATION: The owner posted a response that unfortunately does not match what actually happened, so I want to clarify a few key facts for anyone reading this. I was originally given two options for replacing my leaking tub faucet: $850 for a 3-handle valve, with a hole in the back wall. $1,150 for a single-handle upgraded valve, with a clear promise that no hole in the wall would be needed. I chose the more expensive option solely because I was told it would avoid cutting into the bedroom wall. However, when I came home, the wall was cut open anyway, and the tiles in the bathroom were also disturbed. I never received a call, no one asked permission, and no one sent photos before opening the wall. The work was done without any notice. The owner now claims that: the tiles "were not disturbed" (they were), I approved additional work because of corrosion (I was never contacted), and that "no one promised the wall wouldn't be opened" (the entire reason for choosing the $1,150 option was exactly that promise). These statements contradict what was discussed before the job started and what I saw afterward. I asked for a fair resolution -- either: * adjust the price to the $850 option, since that's effectively the method they ended up using, or * repair the wall they opened without authorization. Both were refused. I had used this company before when their pricing was high but transparent. This last experience showed a complete change: the price increased into unreasonable territory, the agreement wasn't honored, and decisions were made without my approval, followed by a response that tried to reframe the situation instead of addressing the issue. I stand by my original review. If you value straightforward communication, predictable pricing, and respect for your home, please be cautious here.

I feel it's not fair they continue operating under this guise of NO INTEGRITY or Professionalism. Reputation is everything. We hired Priscilla's to fix a leak in the closet at a rental approx 2 months ago. She tore the wall out to get to the leak, reasonable and then proceeded to tell us what was needed some additional caulking. Okay, you are the professional, please fix it. She did not really want to do the work, I am assuming because it was not a home run for her. She left the wall open after she caulked. We had to pay to have the property engineer fix that back. Fast forward to now the leak is back !!! She never fixed it. Definitely will not call her and it was never fixed even after all of that extra cost and aggravation. I would never recommend this business and I always support local. They are a scam and after sharing my experience have learned others have had the same issues just did not bother posting. If I would have known I would have not called her. I want people to know so you can save your money. Priscilla's is the worst. No stars if that was an option.
