I recently graduated from UW's law school and loved going over to the food trucks on my lunch break. I never had the korean food truck before and decided I would finally go and do that considering I am part Korean and LOVE korean food. I of course had to get the Bulgogi tacos which was pretty good! It's nothing special, but I might be biased because I live in Texas and the tacos are much better there. I ordered 3 steak tacos. The meat by itself was really good, but when wrapped up in tortillas it tasted a little bland. Tacos also felt a little small, so I'd recommend getting a burrito or rice dish if you're very hungry. This place was aight. I've never heard any wild praise about Bulgogi Korean Taco, and now I kinda understand why. First off, the price is a lil redonkulous. Like 10 dollars for a burrito?? I mean you're really paying for the convenience there. And the bibimbap burrito is similar to bibimbap only in the fact that they share a name. Like it's just got kimchi and some other vegetables in it. I didn't get the beef in it but I got the tofu. And I expected some kind of extra seasoning on it as a meat replacement but nah. The overall flavor was pretty alright and the size of the burrito is pretty on par for what you could get at any other burrito place. They are still hitting that three star mark just because the owners are for real the nicest and cutest people. Also the fact that they also take Venmo is mad convenient, and it's not a bad meal if you're in a pinch. TLDR: not the top of the tier as far as Library Mall food carts go, but it's a decent meal if you don't have cash on you (and if you think skipping the ATM fee is worth a $10 burrito). read more

Stopped here last weekend when it finally started to warm up outside. I got the chicken Bibimbap Burrito, which was pretty solid. Tortilla was good quality and the filling was tasty. Filled with fried rice, chicken, an egg, and some veggies, along with a sweet gingery Bibimbap sauce. At $9 it's basically right under the price point that Qdoba/Chipotle set for large-ish burritos. A nice treat when you're out and about downtown and you see the truck. I'd definitely recommend this place, but it's not something that's gonna change your world. read more

Not worth the money. Burrito is full of rice and other vegetables with very little meat. Flavor is okay, somewhat spicy, just wish it did more for me. I've heard the tacos are good. I went with the chicken burrito and was unsatisfied. The thing fell apart and was a little messy. The serving size and wait time are about what you'd expect, but the end product is underwhelming. Tldr: they don't give you much for what you pay. A bibimbap burrito costs 9 dollars, but compared to what you can get at Chipotle for 9 dollars, spending 9 dollars here is really sad. I got the steak bibimbap burrito, but like others have said, the bibimbap in the burrito isn't really bibimbap. There's rice, cabbage, kimchi, and meat but that's about it. The sauces aren't very spicy, and are quite watered down. So if you want spicy, get the extra hot sauce. It tastes fine, which is a plus. I'm on a Korean food binge! Bulgogi Korean Taco has apparently been around since October of 2013, but as I've been out of town for almost a year, I haven't had a chance to try it until today. I ordered the chicken bibimbap burrito because I was feeling like meat&rice. Although the burrito was delicious, the burrito didn't scream 'bibimbap' to me. It was missing a few ingredients that I consider a staple of a good bibimbap: carrots, spinach, and mushrooms. I was actually overwhelmed by the amount of bean sprouts and kimchi (which is NOT typically included in a bibimbap) in the burrito. In retrospect, I probably should have grabbed a few squeezes of the kochujang sauce before I walked away from the food cart as well. Although the burrito is a must-try, don't expect it to be a bibimbap wrapped in a tortilla. In addition to the bibimbap burritos (which you can get with steak, tofu, or chicken), there are also bulgogi tacos and bulgogi salads. I'm not quite sure how I feel about a bulgogi salad, but I'd definitely be up for a bulgogi taco one of these days. read more

This food cart on the square near King Street gives you great bang for your buck. I ordered the dark meat chicken tacos (3 for $6), which came with bulgogi sauce, lettuce, cilantro, tomato, red onion, kimchi, cucumber, and bean sprouts all wrapped up in a corn tortilla and served with lime. The tacos came out fast and were delicious, though a bit hard to eat because they were so full. If you're brave, try it with the extra spicy gochujang (red pepper paste). The man working in the cart was very nice and the conversation we had was a welcome distraction from the blustery fall weather as I waited for my food. read more

I ordered the Korean Steak Quesadillas. Generous in portion, but sad in flavor. I am a huge fan of Korean style cooking, well aside from kimchi. However, this place realy fell short for me. I was really expecting an amazing flavor from the food. Instead, I was met with slightly seasoned steak. I had a small pile of lettuce, tomatoes, kim chi and sweet and spicy sauce in addition to the three quesadillas. I really have nothing terrible to say, however, I have nothing great to rave about. Not the worst I've had. The flavor is lacking. As I ate, I kept thinking, "This tastes like a cheap shadow of what Korean food is." However, I appreciated the freshness of the vegetables. Visiting Madison from Seoul and couldn't pass up trying some more Korean fare (had Sujeo a few days ago) while I'm in town. In short, save your money and go elsewhere! Ordered the bulgogi tacos (chicken), their signature item, and they tasted terrible on all levels. The corn tortillas were soggy, the meat was improperly seasoned (definitely not a bulgogi marinade), and the chosen veggies were strange. It seems Korean food is slowly making its way into the mainstream, but places like this really give Korean food a bad name. Seriously, there are a few Korean marts in town, so look up some recipes and cook authentic Korean dishes at home. read more

I had the bulgogi tacos the other day at the Capital Square location. They are 3 for $7 and that's plenty even for a healthy appetite. (get corn tortillas)...They were freshly made and just a tremendous blend of Asian flavors. I think they put the basic Mexican taco (which I love), to shame. Think I'll go back tomorrow! read more

For a food truck it's definitely one of the better ones. I had the steak bulgogi tacos. 3 are in the order, I tried one plain, one with hot sauce, and one with the extra hot sauce. I think Gochujang was written on the bottle which is a hot bean paste. Unfortunately it was watered down compared to what's in my fridge. Which I guess is necessary to have it in a ketchup squeeze bottle. So far from hot, more like mild or added flavoring. The Kimchi was definitely watered down, and the bulgogi seemed to lack a traditional flavor to it.
