The vibe was definitely chill and fun with more than 30 big tv all over the place. There was even a bobsled hanging on the roof! This is definitely the place to be to watch sports games. Even their cutlery was in the shape of a hockey stick! The restaurant's layout is kinda strange. The main bar are is in the center with tv above it arrange like a jumbotron. Then on either side are raised seating areas with high tables. We were seated here and people kept on bumping into me because the chairs were so close together. Now for the food. I think that for $50, the 40oz ribeye was a steal. The cut was nice and thick and the meat was juicy, with crunchy edges. It can with some potato hash that was baked with cheese, some green beans and a couple of beet slices (these were pretty bland) and a nice big piece of garlic bread. The garlic bread was cheesy and the baguette was nicely toasted. The special also came with a bottle of their signature steak sauce (this one was mustard based with sesame, completely different than the usual bbq-based, vinegar sauce). Of course, hubby and I both had to pack about half of each of our portions. We made steak fajita with it the next night. Service was good (considering how busy they were last night), ambience was perfect, beer was cheap. Plus they have daily specials. On Thursday, January 8 around 7:00 p.m., I ordered a 9-piece fried chicken, a chicken sandwich, and a whole rotisserie chicken for takeout. Every single item was overcooked. The fried chicken and sandwich were an extremely dark brown, which strongly suggests either severely overcooked chicken or old, poorly maintained frying oil. The chicken sandwich was so hard it was difficult to bite into and impossible to finish. The rotisserie chicken was also burned, with obvious scorch marks on the skin. What makes this unacceptable is that the restaurant wasn't even busy, and there were no rotisserie chickens available when I arrived. This points to serious kitchen mismanagement--either the heat was far too high or the food was left cooking far longer than it should have been. The quality gap between the old and new locations is shocking. The previous staff clearly knew how to prepare chicken properly. At this new location, it appears there is a complete lack of training, quality control, or experienced kitchen leadership. Burning food at this level should never leave the kitchen. Unless there is a major improvement in training and oversight, I cannot recommend this location and will not be returning.

Yes, some of the prices compared to the other grocery store could be a bit more but I find that their produce, meat and fish selection are much better compared to the typical grocery store. I love that there is a Starbucks inside the store so I can get some coffee while I shop. Overall, this is a great addition to the neighbourhood!
