The owner went on to say that if I wanted to bring my dog back in 3-4 weeks, she would just do just the haircut. 4 weeks later, I set up an appointment for just a haircut, and confirmed it right then and there - just a haircut. Yes, they understood. I then confirmed again when I dropped the dog off. They understood. When I picked them up, they had done a full groom, which looked fine but wasn't what i asked for. The owner implied I had misunderstood, but wouldn't address that she had said I could come back for just a cut, and she would not answer questions about why her staff had agreed repeatedly to just a cut. She just kept saying she didn't understand the confusion, and I had to pay $150 because they had done a full groom. she wasn't even aware of how much they charged for a full groom at first. She discounted 20%. Her response to me saying I wouldn't be bringing her my business anymore was, "That's fine". This business is not registered with the BBB. I recommend you go elsewhere, but get everything in writing if you bring your animal here.

In actuality, you get zero reports and dogs of all sizes are all put in the toy (size) room. They started off my 1yo in the playpen in the toy room because she seemed overwhelmed when they first put her in what looks to be a 30x30 room with 30+ dogs of all sizes. They said their trained employees will watch her and let her out when she's ready. No one is watching. There is one person in that room that is constantly pushing dogs off of them while they mop up poop and pee everywhere. I hope they're changing out that mop water and hope there is sufficient cleaning elements in it. Finally, they told me half days (less than 6hrs) are $27. I left my dog there for 5hrs last week (2hrs were crated nap time with no supervision) and they charged me for a full day ($45). There was no communication regarding price changes - no signs on site. They said they emailed me. Acted like it was my fault I was not on their newsletter DL. I receive other spam from them, but not this mysterious price change email that they claim to have sent everyone. They have 2 other rooms for other sized dogs (medium and large) that they barely use. Odd that they turn off the cameras 12-2pm during crated nap time. There are blind spots in the corners. Not sure if this place changed with the on slaughter of new covid pups, but it's not cheap and not hard. I hope they're sufficiently paying the single dogsitter/cleaner in the room.

The staff is incredibly loving and communicates well with the pet owners. The dogs are kept on a strict schedule of playing in the communal playroom, getting walks, napping, eating meals, and going to sleep at night. I think the schedule really helps the dogs know what to expect at any time during their stay. I recommend having your dog go for a few days / half days of daycare prior to the first boarding visit as it helps the dog become familiar with the establishment, the routines and to know that they'll eventually go home again. I can't say enough about the staff! They're all very caring and pass along important information as well as comments about your dog that make you realize how much they interact and care about each and every dog in their care. I only wish I had found this establishment years ago!

My dog always gets excited as we drive down the street to Dog Tales and can't get out of the car fast enough to get inside. I often look at the pet cam to see what's happening. So often, the staff is petting, hugging, and playing with the dogs. It truly is peace of mind for me to know that leaving my dog at this daycare is like leaving her with family.
