Bulldog Paving has been working on my backyard for a little over two months. It's been a huge project of over 4000 square feet of pavers using three different pavers. And it has involved a lot of coordination with others (plumbing, landscaping, electrical, etc.). Not only has the work been outstanding with craftmanship that exceeds my hopes, the crew has been nothing short of charming and hard working throughout the heat of the desert. Bulldog worked closely with me all the time and was very efficient in using materials so that waste was minimized. One of the most important things is that when there have been issues (as there inevitably are in any large complex project), Gustavo on site and Pete at the office have been superb. The team has fixed things on the spot, made adjustments (even when it wasn't their fault that things weren't right), and never raised a complaint. Can't say enough about this wonderful company and it's owner, Pete. Bulldog paved the front, side, and back of my house. Turned out beautiful. I was so pleased. About a month later, I decided not to use the open flower bed in the front and Bulldog came back out and paved it in without charged, even though it was Pete's suggestion to pave it when we first met. You cannot get anyone better for design, installation and warranty for the price. These guys are craftsmen not just installers. They made sure the patio and driveway looked fantastic and even installed additional drainage so that there were no flooding when it rained. Overall the job they did does look good. The reason they are getting 3 stars is because they started being really flaky once they received full payment from me. There were some issue with a corner of the pavers and it took them 2 months to fix it but even now, it looks like they are starting to come apart again. Not only that, but I was told there would be border installed around all the edges of the pavers to prevent future decay but that never happened. The job was completed without that important detail and I had made it very clear that I wanted that done. I had even told them that the other quotes that I was receiving did include that and I was assured it would be done, but it wasn't. Overall a good job, I am just worried about future issues due to the boarder not being installed. read more

I received a few quotes on a 4,000 sq ft backyard project. They were very competitively priced, and the owner worked direct with me the whole time. I believe one of the owners is a state certified architect and the owner who came out for my estimate was very professional and clean cut. A little different than the other companies that came out. I initially decided on them because he was very thorough to point out that his estimate would include the rounded edges on my steps... a sealer..... and correct types of cuts I guess that some companies will neglect. He also pointed out problems with my previous drainage which made me feel like he knew what he was talking about. The process was quick, clean and easy. The owner had a crew that handled most of my project but he was still around when the project was going on. Overall I was very pleased with them... and though I am not too familiar with the process I feel like I got a very good quality job.... not taking into account it was very fairly priced for my budget. So I felt it necessary to leave them a positive post! Thanks guys! read more

This company does big jobs, so our smaller one wasn't high on the list to get to it. However, once they started they worked straight through until it was finished. NEVER use Bulldog paving! They installed our driveway and walkway. The polymeric sand flooded out into the street because it was installed improperly. They were working as a sub for Modern Paving. Luckily, Modern stood by their work. They sent Bulldog back again to redo the sand and it flooded out again! For the third and final time it was installed by Modern paving and it turned out great. We had Bulldog Paving install pavers in our backyard. Everything went great. Pete was very professional, helpful in designing and crossing the pavers. The crew who installed the pavers were great, very professional. The install took four days, they cleaned up at the end of every day. They had to remove old concrete, prepare ground with gravel, sand, install the pavers and finish with the bonding sand. The final product is beautiful and adds value to our home. read more

This review is a long time coming. I hired Bulldog a year ago to do a medium sized patio and a fire pit. Pricing was more than reasonable and they did an excellent job. Pete was easy to work with and was always available if i needed to speak to him. I am a picky homeowner with a lot of fussy requests and Pete was patient and delivered everything we negotiated. When the fire pit didn't quite turn out as I had imagined, Pete graciously had his crew re-do it without any hassle what-so-ever. My walkway came out beautiful. Two of my neighbors (one was a member of our architectural committee) have inquired already about who did my walkway.
