On a recent Saturday morning, my wife and I joined a small group of others in an archery class at Backroom Archery-Turra's. We entered through the retail shop, where that was filled with all kinds of archery paraphernalia that I had no idea about, and we were escorted through a back door to a big room-- the range. Our husband and wife team provided safety information and then handed out bows. They worked step by step to help us learn body positions with the bow that would help us become successful archers. Then we practiced launching some 8 arrows down towards the targets. Many of our arrows missed their target-- some sliding down the floor and others striking the thick padded blanket at the end of the room. After each volley (?) of arrows, they would go over another new technique to refine our posture, and each time our accuracy improved. By the end of our class, they had us pin a balloon to the target. I'm still impressed that I was able to pop the balloon two separate times (when the range was clear, we would all walk down the range and collect our arrows and get set for the next round). It was a fun way to spend the morning and for me, quite satisfying. I now have a lot of respect for those Olympic archers-- and Katniss Everdeen. My only suggestion is to wear long sleeves if it's a cool morning. The range room is a big space with a concrete floor and was a little cool. I've recommended the experience to friends and look forward to returning someday-- will be a great activity on a rainy day.

I didn't get to warm up but the driving range had Top Tracers in each bay. Pretty awesome when a place has it installed as it makes practice so much more fun. The tee boxes were good and the fairways good too. The greens were fast and a good challenge overall. Definitely a casual course to play on. The rough was a bit tall and if you missed the fairway good luck finding your ball. No cart beverage service during our round was a bummer as we gor pretty hungry and needed to restock on beverages. Overall great course to check off my bucket list.

The quality of the fairways is amazing and the bunkers are fluffy. My family enjoy our times at the club. For me the best part is that I can go and play 18 holes of golf is under 3 hours, outside of the typical busy hours like Saturday morning. I never have to worry about being hit by a golf ball and people are very friendly. Every hole is different and is a good challenging course to play. The greens are fast often 11+. The club is investing a lot into improving, since I've been there I've seen a new pool deck, pickle ball courts, tennis and pickle ball court floodlights, new gym with Foresight Eagle Sim Room, Spin Studio, Large studio room, and many other things. Also great to see all the new things coming in the future.

The course is in decent condition. Certainly commendable for a municipal track. Personnel are helpful and friendly. The course does get plenty of play. Weekday round will take 4.5 hours. Week-end game will take you 5 hours. I played yesterday. The weather was warm and sunny. My playing companions were delightful. My golf expertise, as it is (14 handicap), was nowhere no be found. My final score was deplorable. Yet I had plenty of fun. If you are a golfer take my word, it's near impossible to find a better course for a meager $30 fee.

We came to play Pickleball. Set up an account, and made a reservation for an hour. This was a…read morerainy Monday. The price is fair, $45/hour for up to 4 players. Just my buddy and I came. There was no one else playing on the other courts. 3 courts were set up on the basketball courts and the floor was good for basketball but not for pickleball. The ball kept hitting dead spots where the ball would skid and bounce low so it was unhittable. We talked with one of the managers and advised of the dead spots and they realize its not ideal for pickleball so they are investing in better nets, and thinking of ways to make the court playability better. Kudos to them for wanting to improve.

Very interactive and it was a nice way to meet other parents and kids. The play room is also really nice to have your child run around and get their energy out. Plus it's mostly flat and thus very walkable. And it's quite scenic, located in a natural setting with water foul, and so many mature plants and trees. None of the holes are next to public roadways. So it's mostly quiet and serene. And I say mostly, because there is an airport next to the course so that does create some loud, intermittent, overhead noise particularly on holes 5-10.
