The staff are a bunch of dbags. They fill co2 tanks but not air tanks. You can't return things, even 15 minutes after purchase. But you can get an in-store credit, like I would want any of the tacky stuff in there. Avoid at all cost if you value work ethic, reliability and returns. read more

Great place for beginners, even thought they were extremely busy the playing area never felt over crowded and we never waited that long between rounds. I am pretty new to paintball... I started playing about three months ago and I am hooked. Ryan (the owner of Thirty First) manages the local Escape indoor paintball field and he was one of the first people I interacted with at Escape. Both my wife and I felt very welcomed as newbies to the sport at Escape. After this good experience we visited Thirty First to purchase paint and some other paintball stuff. Ryan is super knowledgeable about anything paintball (he's a pro paintballer after all). Almost any gun, hopper, equipment, etc... he can tell you the pros and cons of it, etc. He doesn't try to sell you stuff you don't need so no pressure sales at all. I really like having a local store where I can get help with my gun when I need it or order parts, etc. He can probably fix any gun and he's fast. He's very friendly and honest and you get great customer service. The prices are what you would pay online but you get the local support. You really can't ask for more from a shop. We have taken our guns there for repair, bought equipment including hoppers, jerseys, parts, etc. We have had lots of transactions with this store in the last few months and they have all been great. read more

Be warned. I purchased an item to see if it would fit my gun.... It did not. At no point was I ever told there are no returns, there's no signage or anything. All they offer is store credit, so they basically take back the item, unused, give you a credit you may or may not ever use, and resell the item. To me it's akin to thievery. I go above and beyond to satisfy my customers, unfortunately this was not the case here. Too bad as they lost a customer over a silly policy. Exactly what I expected. Instead of turning this into a moment to shine, to say like hey Ryan, that's our policy, but come on back and I'll give you you're 30 bucks back this one time. And I happily accept and edit my review to 5 stars, rave about the great customer service, and then become a customer for life and give word of mouth advertisement for the store. In a perfect world I guess. Alas it's not to be. Instead the owner takes the time to be snarky and chastise me. Hey here's a tip, you can't see the sign cause you have shit everywhere. Oh my gosh! What a wonderful crew! My first time in an air soft gun store to buy my son first gear and The guys were so helpful and kind and informative and funny and did I say kind? They were patient and helpful with all my questions because I don't know anything about this stuff and I want to make sure I'm getting good gear for my son and that he'll be protected and safe. So happy that Amazon doesn't ship airsoft guns to California because otherwise we would've just bought from Amazon. The service is so great it's worth any additional cost if there is any. The only reason I'm leaving three stars (which I think is more than generous) is because of the great selection they have. If I could split it up, I'd give 5 stars for selection and 1 star for service. I hadn't played paintball for about 7 years and wanted to come in to update my gear. I'd also brought my marker in to get a check up to make sure everything was working properly. Gabe, the one working that day, seemed like he couldn't care less if I bought anything and had a completely uninterested attitude towards me during my entire visit. I asked how long it would be before my marker was ready to be picked up and he said about a week. I called a week later and NOPE....not ready. Strange considering he'd said it would probably just need some lube and new O-rings. I went and picked it up, as I needed it to play that weekend, and it was obvious it hadn't even been looked at that whole time. I still ended up buying new goggles as I'm a small business owner myself and want to support local businesses. Went home and ordered the rest of the gear I needed online. Because of Gabe's attitude I have no intention of coming back here....even for paintballs, I'd rather pay an extra few bucks at the field. read more

I'm a big airsoft fan and I can find this store a little lacking in airsoft products. I really want to like this store but it seems they rarely get new shipments in. It's a bummer because this is the only airsoft shop in the area and I get tired of ordering my stuff online. Stopped in at Thirty First Outfitters for the first time yesterday and I'm really glad I did. My experience with any type of hobby/sport specialty retail store is they are almost always have employees who have interest and varying levels of knowledge in what that shop is about from pets to model trains to cycling and so on. These shops can be categorized as one of two types. Knowledgeable but wont give you the time of day because you aren't in the know... elitist. The other is knowledgeable and so eager to move the hobby forward that they will stop what they are doing to talk to you and engage you, no matter how much more they know about than you. Thirty First is the latter. When I walked in with my wife and 5 year old son the employees had no way of knowing my knowledge level or my almost 20 years experience playing paintball but the treated me like my needs were the most important and not just to squeeze what money they could from me. They were friendly and eager to show me what they could off the wall and to offer services and even invites to games in the future. I wasn't planning on making any purchases that day but they still were engaging, my son even got some free schwag (stickers). I plan on doing a lot of Airsoft business in the near and distant future and this will be my go to. The owner has clearly created a good environment for customers as well as employees. I went there twice to get CO2, and each time they didn't have it. A paintball store that runs out of CO2. I will never go there again.
