I recall having a very easy time working with the project manager (Armagan), but I don't recall him being on site to do much supervision. I basically trusted the crew to do the job correctly. One of the things they did was build a custom shower for us. Right after they finished we had issues with it - specifically, the floor wasn't graded properly so water would sit on the sides. They regraded it and it was slightly better. Then within the year's warranty, they had to come back and redo some of the flooring because water was getting behind the tile and causing it to crack. After that, there weren't any obvious problems, but on occasion when there were some cracks in the grout, water would leak down to the first floor. We dealt with it by caulking and trying not spray water in one direction, but we were afraid there was just constant moisture in the floors that was creating mildew. A few months ago I touched the ceiling and my finger poked right through b/c the drywall had disintegrated. Fast forward to last week - water leaked through the ceiling again, and we had the ceilings opened to see what was happening and now we're in the midst of a major shower rebuild. Apparently they completely did the shower incorrectly. Parts of the shower did not have any Durock (apparently, there is supposed to be a layer of Durock on top of the wood followed by a rubber lining over the surfaces before you lay tile). There are portions of the shower that only had dry wall, or nothing but the wood. Also, where they did have Durock and rubber, apparently it was the wrong order (the rubber was on the wood, with the Durock on top). Also, they painted the ceiling with regular ceiling paint rather than bathroom paint, so it was peeling horribly. So we have to get that redone also. We also suspect they did some of the pipes incorrectly. The bathroom smells like sulphur at random times, and a plumber once told us they were supposed to build a pipe that releases that gas and didn't (hope it's not causing any major damage because we have no idea how to fix that problem without ripping up all the floors). It's so dispiriting to find this out years after a major remodel and all the money spent, only to now spend additional money just to fix a bad job. :(

The crews they use are very unprofessional and get upset when you ask that use common professional upkeep, like drop cloths to protect floors. They were always months behind schedule. They damaged walls and did a poor job in installing everything they touched and just left a mess. They are were not appropriately licensed. Stay away from this company as I don't think they'll be around long after the regulators are done with them.

They only purchase beautiful slabs, they attend to every detail in how the cut it so the patterns run correctly and look beautiful and seamless, they note details in your kitchen/bath that could be problematic so you can correct and are not disappointed in how the stone lays and the install is impeccable. They are incredibly wonderful to work with and creative. I have bought stone from a number of places in the past--these folks truly know what they are doing and the results were stunning.

The first renovation was a guest bathroom that we hired Solomon and his team to renovate two years ago. They did a great job. This project was much larger and included gutting our original (1969) master bathroom, moving fixtures and walls, and creating a walk-in closet from the bedroom next to the bathroom. After receiving proposals from 4 different companies, we chose to go with Image. They were not the lowest nor highest price, but we were comfortable with them and knew that the work would be done right. It was. Solomon and the Project Manager, Mr. Fikri, were amazing. Every step of the way they made sure everything was going right, according to the plan. Any questions that came up and decisions that needed to be made they were thorough, fair, reasonable and always had great ideas. The communication was great. We knew exactly when Mr. Fikri and his team would arrive to work and they did. The master bathroom is now a beautiful focal point of our home with a state of the art glass enclosed shower, a water closet, heated floors in the bathroom, and a magazine quality walk in closet. Two months later my wife and I still feel like we live in a hotel. She has admitted there were some big learning and growth moments with what has transpired with our case, and as a result, has apologized. In addition, they admitted they didn't order the correct part and should have spent more time ensuring their initial mistake wasn't repeated. It's a rare occasion to have a company admit they repeated a mistake and are willing to work towards an agreeable resolution. Thankfully ABW has shown they are concerned with what happens to their customers, you just have to let them kindly know if they are heading down the wrong path. To sum it up, they are willing to work with you to make sure you're happy, just make sure you have an open communication line with them. _______________________ *ORIGINAL REVIEW* I'm not sure where to begin, but it's been an absolute nightmare. Our microwave broke in April, we are a week away from September, and the microwave is still not fixed despite them coming out 4 separate times. In short, ABW has been to our house 4 times; 3 times with the wrong part. Yes, they ordered the wrong microwave door 3 times. They came to our house 3 times with the wrong door. I really don't know what else to say or how best to describe what happened other than pure incompetence. I don't think I've ever had to deal with a situation like this before, since most companies would find a solution after their first mistake, but clearly they care only about your money and how much they can grab from you. After a lot of back-and-forth via email, it was discovered that they had been entering the wrong model number from the beginning, but we were told that it was Bosch who kept sending the wrong part. So they blamed Bosch and failed miserably at taking ownership of the mistake they made over, over and over again. In the photos below you'll see one of the final emails where they're "apologizing" and giving us a "discount". However, after researching the right parts number, the $374.49 "discount" from their original asking price of $627.59 is roughly the average and going price for said door. At face value, it's clear we're still being ripped off despite their egregious and continuous mistake of ordering the wrong part not only once, not twice, but three times. Could you imagine ordering the wrong part for a customer, telling them it's on back order, and making three service calls over the course of 5 months? I can't. I'd be fired. I'm truly at a loss for words. I'm sorry to say, but for your sanity please find another business to order parts, equipment or have any type of service done. Please learn from my horrible experience and find another business to buy and service your appliances.

So I wandered into the bright and immaculate store (located in the Cabin John Shopping Center) and thus began my own wonderful carpeting experience. I was warmly welcomed by Steve Shaffer. He listened to my desires and we set up an in-home appointment to assess my carpeting needs. A few hours later Bruce Barboza arrived at my home and meticulously measured the areas to be carpeted. (Bruce's expertise was abundantly evident!) The next day, Steve contacted me and presented many options and arranged to have carpet samples shipped to me. Within a few days everything was agreed upon and an installation date was set up. On installation day I had the pleasure of meeting Roberto and Joshua. I could tell that their least favorite part of the installation was moving heavy furniture. However, anyone who has wrestled with a Tempur-Pedic mattress will understand the challenge. Roberto and Joshua immediately went to work and quickly removed the old carpeting and padding. I then got to observe their artistry as they expertly covered the many convoluted spaces my layout presented. Roberto deserves special recognition for beautifully binding the edges of the runners. I am completely thrilled by the service provided by Carpet & Vac Expo. Hopefully many others will enjoy these masters of carpeting craft.
