I have attended grief groups there. The people are usually always helpful. They provide a great service to seniors & the Kerrville & surrounding areas. *** Please note: They have been greatly affected by the July 4 flooding. They have had lots of volunteers. The Meals on Wheels service was prioritized for those who use it. Sadly, the center is going to be closed, indefinitely. If you need something, reach out & call them. The last review was made years ago and there are no photos so it's time for an update. There are a great many things that take place here and I'll list off the amenities. You will find a gym, concert venue, another large room, 2 smaller rooms, a business center, a book and puzzle exchange, game room, coffee bar, full kitchen, and about four dozen parking spaces out front. Some of the attractions here are scheduled concerts, line dancing and yoga along with various classes. There are no pickle ball or basketball courts here. The garden outside, which has a weekly meeting but you can go to anytime, is enjoyable. There are other games too (bridge, bingo, Mexican train, rummikub), dances, classes, sometimes movies. The arts are not a strong point as painting and stuff are show up with your own stuff with no instruction and few do, but other things are excellent. There are outings to various locales, but you have to sign up with a lottery system at the beginning of the month as only some can go, but still good. It's definitely helped my retirement!
